Changing SIDE for UNIT changing config is possible ?

I've a big problem

I need to change side for unit that are on BLUFOR to INDIPENDENT (Guerrilla SIDE)

I try to change only TWest with TGuerrila

After I've changed all the occurrency of USMC Soldier with respective classes from Guerrilla UNIT

but the game crash on mission starting when new side unit are placed in the editor

here is the config ( 1st attempt Only twest changed here ) but in the editor the side is BLUEFOR so doesn't happened any effect

Pls Help!

You forgot to change side in the units config.

The side in the faction just shows where the faction should be listened in the editor.

Btw: For inheritance, you just need to import the class you want to inherit from:

class USMC_Soldier;
class A_SASR_1a : USMC_Soldier {
...

You don't need all the classes the external class is inherited from!

Sorry I don't understand pls tell me how to modify to convert to Side Guerrilla

If I replace the class USMC_Soldier with GUE_Soldier the game crash with unit on the editor placed in the map... Please tell me how to modify the inerith class to switch USMC to GUE Side

Doesnt works the client crash

the unit are displayed in the side Guerrilla but the game crash

I've commented the group creation code, also i leave config .cpp not in bin format this could be a problem ?

Guerrilla doesn't have Officer this could be a problem ?

I see the difference here

I'll try with another unit pack to check if is a problem with this addon

Have you tried to start with the one unit, then add the others and finally at the group?

This makes it a lot easier to find the part which creates the problem.

No it's not a group problem...

( I THINK THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT REASSIGN SOME MODEL)

I try this with ADF units and crash arma like as others units

Have you tried to start with the one unit, then add the others and finally at the group?

This makes it a lot easier to find the part which creates the problem.

I've always used only 1 unit on the editor and the game crashes

with only the rpt error that I've reported

the problem seems similar to various addon pack, when changing side the unit miss some p3d and faces and the game crashes without showing nothing, during mission loading in the editor....

kju addon is in same position

only thing changed is the side of unit adding side=TGuerrila in the unit class definition just near faction...

if I remove the side and the unit are in the blufor side the addon works

so I don't understand your post ;)

Well these are clearly saying that they are missing:

So maybe modfolder link wrong?

To use TGuerrila you need to define it.

The engine does not know that. It only knows numbers for sides.

as standard bis definition I see also in the bis config, this works the side works appears correct in the editor so addon is loaded, but when I use one unit and try to load mission I got CTD.

The only thing that I can try now is using eliteness last version with last pbd dll instead of Kegetys cpbo

I try to modify the side for ADF that have shorter cfg

Ok I used only Eliteness to unpbo pbo with last pbo.dll

the result is the same here the missing file in rpt:

ok there is a DIFFERENT PROBLEM !!!

the problem is in the PBO / UNPBO Action

I try to reverse the config.cpp like original, I try to place the unit in blufor side and I got exactly the same CTD !!!

So now my theory is wrong, the side=2 or side=TGuerrila is not the real problem

I think that I'm near to solution, now I need help for do CORRECT UNPBO / PBO for the units addons

what program I need to use, ( could be a Windows 7 problem? ) this is the frist time that I have problem but is also the frist time that I try to modify something on ArmA2 and Frist Time on Seven 64bit OS

The unit addons have a subfolder scheme is OK ? or is a error

The unrapify should be checked inside Eliteness config ?

The problem are not in the config when I unpbo pbo an unit pbo file I'll get error, even if I don't modify the config file

Ok I think there is some evolution in my troubles but I don't know the solution...

I'm Trying to change unit side to some unit addons because I need to use it as enemy of both BLUFOR - REDFOR

I was thinking that problem for crash was the my edited cpp file

I keep the cpp file as in the original WORKING addon unit and repbo again

ArmA Crashes with same error so it's not my config changes ( side = 2 instead of 1 )

There is a problem in the PBO/UNPBO process

I try with CPBO and With Eliteness same result

I'm looking for another PBO/UNPBO software solution to check if it works with unit

SOLVED!

I use UnPBO and MakePBO tool

I changed the config files and I fight agains indipendent enemy...

ADF team for now... I'll try also with other units
