Eliminating a Flag?

I'm having a bitch of a time trying to figure out how I remove the IR flag from the left shoulder of a unit. I'm guessing it's mirrored?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As you can see, no outline for a flag is present on the default Independent combat shirt.

But it's most certainly there in-game.
