Yep. It was the same with ArmA 2. You can also run it a third time to be sure.

Any chance to get a night/dark section, to test light performance? I figured, just some panning shots, a city block (dynamic lights) with vehicles (headlights), and maybe an explosion or two to kick it up a notch. ;)

Good idea. I´ll give that a try.

Ok, I did both benchmark's with my actual maxed-out OC'ed Rig and GeForce v327.23 WHQL (Dev-Build: v1.03.110304):

Stratis:

maxed-out: 31

auto: 43

ultra: 40

very-high: 52

high: 66

standard: 92

low: 118

lowest / disabled: 180

Altis:

maxed-out: 15

auto: 39

ultra: 39

very-high: 47

high: 65

standard: 82

low: 106

lowest / disabled: 140

If I compare it with my last benchmark-results here: Click, then I can't see the (big) improvements which other user's are stating and this with an even further OC'ed system.

The final game is running better then the beta ? Negative ...

An even higher clocked single-core gives you better scores ? Negative ...

Higher clocked GPU(s) gives you more fps ? Negative ...

Good idea. I´ll give that a try.

I do have another suggestion, not sure if it is doable or feasible. But since ARMA3 is so finicky, I figured I'd throw it out there, might really help people zero in on their graphic settings.

- Each stage (currently, the stages are just flown through) is labeled when it is ran and given it's own set of FPS numbers for just that stage. Listed at the end on a stage breakdown.

- Min/Max/Average FPS at the end?

This would allow you to make each stage a test of certain settings. IE, the stages could be:

- AI Movement (lots of AI / on screen battle fly-thru)

- Night (tests dynamic light settings, etc)

- Particles (test lots of particle settings, etc)

- View Distance / Object Distance (a city in the distance, tests your view/object distance)

- Ability to skip stages (or select on mission load which ones you want?), this would allow people to tweak the settings and see it in game more accurately.

Just some thoughts. I noticed it already has the ground work, as a lot of sections already match up decently with these.

Absolutely no different outcome in the benchmark-runs with the Dev-Build-Update from yesterday.

I expected at least that the Altis-Benchmark would give me some better scores.

27, I always get 27 pretty much no matter what settings I use. VSync issue possibly ?

Hi,

thanks for the benchmark missions, a shame there are non built in. Btw., i don't see benchmarking as a "pissing contest" at all. How else could we compare performance to find out if our hardware is properly

utilized to the max ? My rig is about three years old, so i'm quite happy with my results / game quality:

Hardware: see signature

A3 version: 1.08.113494

A3 config: no changes

A3 running exclusively on second SSD (old "OCZ Vertex1")

A3 inbuilt FPS70

background tasks: no changes (Outlook,AntiVirus,HIPS,EMET etc.)

Benchmark 1: 68 fps (3 runs)

Benchmark 2: 70 fps (3 runs)

CPU utilization: CoreTemp v1.0 RC6

I've got few questions:

1. Which version is the latest version of Arma3Mark for stable ArmA 3?

2. How do you use the copy/paste functionality? My clipboard is empty after the tests finish. Using Ctrl+C on the results screen doesn't work either.

3. How come some people get some separate testing results? http://i.imgur.com/oCMcdct.png

The Altis version.

The Stratis benchmark uses outdated code which doesn´t run anymore with the current ArmA 3 Version.

Sure it does. You just have to close the error message.

Helo,

thanks for your benchmarks. Could you please make some newer version, maybe including 1st and 3rd person scenes to get some "up to date" benchmark? The 1st and 3rd scenes should give some information, how good it will be playable under real gaming circumstances.

Thanks in advanced, Nik

Stratis: 44FPS

Altis: 41FPS

The Ultra-profile...

Virtually everything is maxed out, except PIP, 'High;' and...

Visibility: 3200, 3800, 100.

Resolution: 2560x1440.

My rig is in my signature.

EDIT: Alright, updated to the latest Dev Build...

Stratis: 45fps. (+1 fps)

Altis: 40fps. (-1 fps)

(I did enable Hyper-Threading.)

EDIT: Just checked, I get the same result with Hyper-Threading disabled.

Does anybody have the link to the most current version of this test?

Also, does it work with the new update?

Finally, are there other benchmarks I should consider?

Thanks!!!
