[SP] Simple Zombie Action

Simple Zombie Action v1.1

This is a very simple but i hope still fun Zombie mission.

Your start just outside of the "infected" area where the zombies will try to kill and eat you... :eek:

At your camp you can recruit other survivors to join your team, there is also a crate so you can pick up a weapon and some ammo.

The Zombies spawn dynamic all over the area but are concentrated in the villages. Inside these villages you will find some cars and ammo/weapons too.

The zombies are from the great Undead Mod by Charon Productions but i use Celery's awesome zombie script (the sounds are from

Thief: The Dark Project and freesounds.org) so there is no infection...the undead want to kill you !

Your task ?

Kill as many zombies as possible and have fun !

  • Fixed a script error
  • Added more objects to the area
  • Added some zombie dogs
  • Added heal action for the player
  • Added possibility to turn AI flashlights on and off

The eerie atmosphere in this mission is fantastic! I love it. Maybe in the future you should build on this, add some more objectives. Having alot of fun on it at the moment, good work.

If you have some cool ideas about objectives (i had none... :p ) then i would like to know them.

Well for the current mission, would be nice to have somewhere where you can heal. Also possibly the option to turn off the ai lights, as they light up the mist and it can make it hard to see past. Co-op support would also be nice (2-4 players), but not needed.

Some ideas for simple objectives (just throwing in randoms here):

- Getting from point A to B....alive.

- Stay alive for a set amount of time until an evac chopper can pick you up.

- Retrieve items (Documents?) from a number of infested towns and then return them to base.

- Escort someone to a safe zone.

- Defend and prevent a base/area from being over run by zombies.

- Clear zombies out of towns.

- Search for a mission person amongst an infected area.

If your aiming for a more survival type mission I'd say do something similar to the second option, stay alive until you can be evacuated. Once again well done on the immersion. I don't know if its because I am in a dark room, but I jump nearly every time I turn around and see a zombie.

Great mission it is very fun. Like the other guy said would be good to have some objectives. Like say you have to get to a out post and help the AI fight the zombies something like that also be good if you could have say 4 AI that way you can use them as a 2 man teams going into the towns..... But as i said very good mission keep up the good work.

Sound nice, but is there a way to have it run in daylight? AFAIC night time adds nothing, just ugliness all around.

I really thought the atmosphere was incredible at night, and looked great. You can always open it in the editor and change the time.

Wiggum, I hope its alright but I added an extra player so I could show my friend this mission in multi. He was always skeptical of arma 2, but he absolutely loved this, raved on about the atmosphere. I hope to see more similar works with these zombies soon = ).
