  1. Original review Link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197977203759/recommended/1681170/ This CDLC is inspired and in fact made by the same guy who created the Hunter Six Campaign Mission. It was one of the most immersive missions/scenarios/campaigns you could get on the steam workshop even surpassing some if not most of the official missions/scenarios. But Hunter Six was 100% vanilla (just a mission file) so it did not introduce any new content besides some cool custom UI elements and it was all about immersive gameplay just by using the content already inside of Arma 3. (In fact one of the reasons why it was so popular was because it did not require 20+ Mods to be fun and immersive). That is where this CDLC comes into play as it is a more feature complete version of Hunter Six (It is called Extraction now). In terms of new content: 1) A single new map (Western Sahara): There is not much going for it in comparison to other workshop maps and it is below the quality of all the other CDLCs but it is good enough (for the asking price) and it fits the needs of the game mode (Extraction) perfectly. It just gets boring fast due to most locations looking kinda the same and even thou the map is huge it ends up feeling small because of that. 2) A few new weapons, barely any new attachments and/or equipment for them. Nothing you can't get from mods really. 3) Factions and their uniforms are quite basic but good enough to immerse you in the CDLC's theme. 4) Game Modes (Gameplay): This is were the CDLC was supposed to shine (Its main strong point). You see, EVERYONE loved Hunter Six and everyone wanted and would pay any amount money for... a MULTIPLAYER COOP version of it! And yes, this CDLC features what WE ALL wanted! We finally got our Hunter Six MP COOP Campaign after like 5+ years of waiting and we gladly paid the USD 6+ for it. Yet sadly the MP version of Extraction, as it stands now, comes with an unforgettable flaw! And that huge flaw is that in Extraction's SIX/EIGHT hours Campaign it is IMPOSSIBLE for the players playing in Multiplayer COOP to SAVE THEIR PROGRESS!!! Yes, you heard me right... that means that you need to somehow have all four of your friends (and this is how you will test their friendship!) to play uninterruptedly with you for SIX/EIGHT hours straight! Of course all of them unemployed and without families and/or duties living on their parent's basements!!! What is worst is that there are a number of Multiplayer saving scripts and mods out there that could've been used or at least inspired the devs of this CDLC or the remaining A3 Devs (Because BI gets half the earnings from this and all CDLCS) to make a decent Multiplayer compatible saving system. Was that so hard to do? Was that feature so impossible to do over the years that you had to release this CDLC with its MAIN SELLING POINT (The MP COOP Campaign), the whole reason for this CDLC to exist in the first place in a crippled half baked state due to players not even able to save their game mid campaign in Multiplayer? Other than that inexcusable omission that hopefully gets patched in the future I can still recommend this CLDC but as a single player experience and for those who never played HUNTER SIX to experience just how good it was. As a personal side note, this CDLC would have been much better released under the ART OF WAR DLC model, which was paying for a year or two of exclusive access and then be made available for everyone (who owns the base game) because this CDLCs content just fits the vanilla lore perfectly and the size of the content is pretty minuscule anyway. Just put the map and the extraction game mode behind a paywall but add everything else to vanilla Arma 3. (That would've been the best move for the players!)
  2. WarfareThai System Mod is a mod which aimed to turn ArmA 3 into a Semi-Arcade Shooter game and make the game easier for new players. Also, this mod can provide players to play a little aggressive toward AIs. WarfareThai System Mod IS NOT compatible with WarfareThai EX Mod. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2654384601 Recommend to play on WarfareThai Veteran difficulty (a custom difficulty preset from this mod). Features: - Arcade-ish body armor system which can absorb many hits before it breaks and will refill overtime until full. This feature only available for BI Revive and VN Revive. - Unconscious player can do self-gaining consciousness (self-revive) if Medikit type items or First Aid Kit type items are available in player's inventory. This feature only available for BI Revive and VN Revive. - Player can activate Isekai's Arsenal Loadout which provide an ability to use any Arsenal loadout without the restriction from BIS Arsenal (for example using modern-futuristic loadout on S.O.G. Prairie Fire CDLC's official missions). - Custom Vcom AI that AI can call for mortar strike or drone support. Need to manually activate from WarfareThai settings. - The AIs are little bit harder to be killed unless got shot to the head. This feature only available for BI Revive and VN Revive. This feature will be disabled if native/original Vcom AI with VCM_RAGDOLL is active (due to the AIs will be nearly impossible to be killed). - Player can drag an unconscious player (still WIP) - Player can pull out an unconscious player from vehicle (still WIP). - Player can do a self-healing when the Medikit is available in player's inventory. - Player can do jump when pressing SHIFT + V. - Player can do sliding down from the steep angle terrain when pressing SHIFT + V. - Player can climb over walls/fences. - Player can do a simple take down enemy (still WIP). - Player can do a simple repair vehicle when has Toolkit inside player's inventory. - Player can reserve a primary weapon to the back. - Player can do an arcade-ish target spotting (do the ADS then press Reveal Target button -default is T). - Player can convert any frag-type grenade into Booby trap. - Player can deploy either mini recon drone or mini autonomous turret from Drone Case item. - Player can deploy parachute while being dive down from the sky. - Player can perform a self-blowing up during unconscious state, if player has any mine inside inventory. Player will be able to attach Western Sahara CDLC's Portable Shields to UGV_01, UGV_01_rcws, and UGV_02. New Items: - Hydra Revolver (require Kart DLC), a revolver which can fire 12 Gauge shotgun shells, .45 ACP, and 20mm Flares. - Concussion Grenade, a low damage grenade which can knock out AI (no effect on player). This item will do effect only when WarfareThai System Mod is active. - Improvised Booby Trap, a trap which are converted from the frag grenade. - Drone Case, an item which can be deployed into either Mini Recon Drone, or Mini Autonomous Turret (this turret can be rearmed with any vanilla and CDLCs 5.56 magazine). - Rally Point (Portable), a portable rallypoint which player can use for teleporting to other teammates. - Some cosmetic headgears and goggles. Note: - You can manually activate BIS Revive system (if there is no other revive system presented) from clicking on WarfareThai system settings icon inside player's inventory. With this, you can use BI Revive system on Global Mobilization CDLC's official MP missions and official Escape missions. Version:
  3. Introduction Who in lawless lands will stand up for the weak? Poor mexican village is harassed by brutal banditos. The villagers grow desperate and finally decide to resist. But what chance these poor folk may have against well armed gang of marauders? They weren’t able to buy enough weapons with these very few posessions, they have left. Instead they found seven gunslingers for hire, brave souls ready to defend the poor against the oppression of the wicked. After all – in these lawless lands men are cheaper than guns. Details This scenario is simple, quick-to-play MP mode, where players job is to save village from brutal bandits attack. It is a spin-off of the Seven Samurai scenario. Although it can be played solo, SP even, it is meant for COOP. This is my very first project of such nature, I never made anything MP-focused before and that's exactly why I wanted to create just once something of that kind. The village is picked each play at random from any proper locations found on the map (Altis, although porting to other maps should be very easy). Randomized is also available gear (the content from owned DLCs and loaded mods should be potentially included) and hostiles. Scenario includes several mission parameters, that allow to customize the tactical and enviromental factors from the lobby. Melee mode requires KA Weapons Pack NEW (melee mode will autodisable if mod not present). It should be considered experimental, fun mode, work best in solo gameplay, there may be glitches for non-server players. Rules: 1. Players start inside the safe zone. As long any player is out of the safe zone, the countdown is going to zero. 2. When the countdown is ended, the safe zone is removed and the attacks will begin soon. 3. Players can arm themselves from the boxes located in the center of the safe zone, at the flagpole. 4. Bandits will attack from random directions in random waves. 5. If too many villagers die - the mission is lost. 6. If all Magnificent are dead - the mission is lost. 7. If all bandits are dead - the mission is won. 8. Civilians will 'shout' about known hostiles near using 3D exclamation mark icon over their heads. Color of the mark indicates how close the enemy is (green - far, yellow - close, red - very close). 9. Player names change colors depending on player's status: dead - dark red; generating noise/speaking - white; incapacitated - purple-red; no ammo - yellow; critical wounds - reddish; serious wounds - purpleish; moderate wounds - blueish; all OK - blue. 10. There's no respawn, only spectating mode after death, but revival is often possible. Porting: Need to be confirmed yet, but seems, that porting is as easy, as changing map name in mission folder name, so for example: MagnificentSeven.MCN_HazarKot -> MagnificentSeven.Altis. Target map should have some "NameVillage" locations with at least 9 enterable buildings in 200 meters radius around. Download The Magnificent Seven 1.00 (Dropbox) The Magnificent Seven 1.00 (Steam Workshop) The Magnificent Seven 1.00 - open folder (Dropbox) Original Seven Samurai scenario Requirements Hazar-Kot Valley Optional: Technically below mods are not required to run the scenario, but western-style weaponry, clothes etc. are taken from them. Without weaponry scenario is unplayable in practice, so at least some of them should be loaded, all of them - recommended. CUP Units CUP Weapons IFA3_AIO_LITE Project Infinite Nolosha Pack Western Notes The basic premise is based on The Magnificent Seven movie by John Sturges, which in turn is a remake of Seven Samurai movie by Akira Kurosawa. I highly recommend to watch these classics, knowing them helps you feel and tune in better during the gameplay. Credits & licenses Scenario utilizes slightly customized A3 Wounding System - AIS Revive by @Psychobastard. My thanks to: @Gunter Severloh for testing, video overview and some good advices. 4. Old West - Wild West Map Description: Have you ever thought of playing actual western-type sandbox in ArmA III? It could happen really soon. The Old West is the first mission-map for ArmA III, that is set up in the American Wild West. It is made on Altis, though it doesn't look like one. It was remade with old west architecture to feel the entourage. And you know what is the most exciting thing here? It's 100% vanilla. Plot: You're living in a harsh world of the American Old West. The world is actually set up in Monument Valley, Arizona-Utah, USA. There is a lot of locations. Towns, villages, Native Americans tribes and etc. Towns are living, saloons, stores, churches, and other places are waiting for you to come (and spend some money, if you want). Snapshots: https://imgur.com/a/3CuC6 (old) https://imgur.com/gallery/TmphF9l (new) Features: Big map Western atmosphere Ambient music script Enterable stores and saloons Many more... Optional content: DBO_Horses Project Infinite - All In One Status: Still in development. Approximate release date: very soon.
  5. Recently read a wiki entry that mentioned an old game that BI tried to develop that took place in the old west. Did anything ever come of that? Is there an Arma Mod that deals with the Old West say 1865-1905? I love some of the old west RPG games such as Boot Hill and Sidewinder or Aces and Eights and Red Dead redemption was a classic. An Altis Life taking place in the old west seems ideal.
  6. Navajo Lake State Park - Old West Map Description: Recently I've started creating map for my Wild West sandbox - Old West. Navajo Lake State Park is a namesake of a place in USA, New-Mexico. It's 1024x1024 m. It takes place in the mid 19th century, in a time of Wild West era. Geography: It has a big lake named Navajo. Also has mountains, deserts, semi-arid areas and even a little snow! There will be built little towns, farms, villages and also some of the Native American tribes. Plans: Fix map terrain. Update new sat map to a high-quality one (very boring and not necessary). Change map mask. Add foliage. Add buildings. Release it in 1 or a half of a year. Requirements: Apex DLC CUP Terrains - Core Mattaust Buildings Pack Snapshots: Changelog:
