m1 mac Arma 3 Scenarios Folder Location On M1 Mac
johnweaver posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Does anyone know where I can find the Scenarios Folder for Arma 3 on the M1 Mac? Is it even possible to import custom missions there, or is the game going to ignore any files I add to the Scenarios Folder?- 7 replies

Someone pls halp, I am hosting one of the only populated servers in the game right now and I have been racking my brain trying to implement a custom scenario/map. I have applied the proper formatting for the mod in my config JSON file to no avail. "mods": [ { "modId": "5A54BB9103829754", "name": "BARZAN", "version": "1.3.0" }, What am I doing wrong? Right now, I suspect it is not possible at the moment but I am persistent and want to deliver a fresh experience for my community. Thank you for any clarification.

We are a unit [WDB] who play servers and COOP missions together, looking to get more members to add to the combat effectiveness of our unit. Currently we are playing the Antistasi -Altis COOP mission with between 1-4 players, and ideally we'd like more people to join in with. In addition to this COOP, we also play on multiplayer servers such as 77TH JSOC (Roleplay Server), various Wasteland servers. and Altis Life. Requesting Experienced Mission-Maker for Collaboration
REFORGER88 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - USER MISSIONS
Hi all, I have a something of a predicament before me. I find it very enjoyable making simple scenarios for myself to replay as short, fun showcases of squad-level infantry tactics, armored warfare, and combined arms using the fairly realistic assets afforded by RHS and the various Bundeswehr gear mods. I feel I Have a fairly decent grasp of mission structure and what makes a mission fun while still incorporating the somewhat realistic objectives, circumstances, and jargon I've picked up through my service. Unfortunately, I don't have an expert grasp on the Eden Editor. I can use waypoints and triggers effectively to create a fairly simple and effective version of a real mission, and can use simple ambientAnim scripts to provide a fairly varied environment, but I lack the intimate knowledge with the Editor to use more advanced scripting, and creating actual tasks. My request is this. Is it possible that any advanced mission or scenario makers on here would have the patience or interest in taking the basework missions I have provided, and creating a more well-rounded and improved experience from them? I can provide the links to the missions I've made so far on the Workshop, and if anyone is interested, I would greatly appreciate it. I would absolutely love it if the simple missions I enjoy making could somehow be elevated by a more experienced hand with the interest in pursuing this LINKS: - Bundeswehr: Armored Warfare http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=912514095 -Bundeswehr: Infantry http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=908530453 -RHS US Combined Arms Showcase - Takistan http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=914002496 -

This is a recent issue. I've had ACE 3 installed in the past, it's not enabled. This is a really weird issue. It applies to everything I play except editor missions, and multiplayer. Here's the error: https://i.imgur.com/cw2fKeB.jpg -
Hey everybody, so i have subscribed to a lot of scenarios on the steam workshop (the one thing the workshop is really useful for). Probably more than i can ever play through :P. But, i am a bit annoyed for some time now that there aint any useful grouping/sorting function. Yes, i can switch them around according to time subscribed, rating and name. What i really needed though, would be a funtion to assign missions to designated groups. For instance, all air scenarios with the A-164/A10 are scattered all over the place. Missions authors don't name scenarios with a A-164/A-10 in front so its all mixed up. Same with sniper missions. Not all missions have the word 'sniper' at the beginning. Wouldn't it be really usefull to assign scenraios to certain groups by hand? So you could then make a group 'Underwater' or 'Diving' that really only contains missions of that sort, whatever the name of that scenario might be. No more scrolling through the list and checking for names that might convey a certain scenario type. The only workaround i see at the moment would be a keeping a seperate list (on paper or textfile) or rather easier, adding those steam workshop scenarios to its own group in steam, where i could look them up easy and then search for it in Arma's scenario list. Better than nothing i recon. How do you guys handle that issue? Are the any plans from BI to add some kind of sorting function for scenarios in game?

Hello everyone, I have a request for the developers of Take On Mars regarding the scenarios, particularly the manned ones. I, like many, have had many hours of enjoyment in Arma 2 and its expansions. Like Take On Mars, it has a great editor and an excellent engine. However, very few BI-created missions and campaigns shipped with the game. The first game had two very short campaigns, and three single missions. The first version of IL2 Sturmovik had a similar problem. It felt like the developers were depending on the community to create their own missions for it. This is fine, but not all of us want to go through the hassle of learning how to code and make missions. Nor do we want to play our own created missions, because we already know how to beat them! Yes, I can download other people's missions and campaigns, but there is no way to tell the difference between the good stuff and the badly-translated, badly-coded crap before downloading them. What I am trying to say is; please don't let Take On Mars go down the same road. Yes, giving the community the ability to create their own scenarios is great, and I'm sure there will be many quality scenarios made by them, But please make sure the final game ships with plenty of BI-created scenarios too, if only to give us an example of what a good one looks like. Take On Mars is essentially a game, after all, not just an engine. The test scenarios that are in the Beta are pretty fun, make more of those! In short, don't just give us the tools; give us some goals to strive towards. Let me know what you think. Keep up the good work. JollySam
