I don' take responsibility in case of unexpected damage to your system I don't play MP, so if you encounter bug, please report and I'll try to fix it Compatibility with other mods (Alive, ACE): Not tested yet Compatibility with ZEUS: Normally yes, but not tested No other dependencies than Marksman and GM DLCs; otherwise this is standalone Known bugs/Future Plans: This is not supposed to be ultra-realistic and honestly there could be some anachronisms, but it gives my vision of a fictional unit using available assets. It is limited by my skills and the time I can spend on it, so you could probably find higher quality mods or models - still, I don't think this is redundant with existing materials. I tried however to make as neat and smooth as possible, this is the least of courtesy to the potential users. If there are any bugs to report - please let me know, and I'll try to fix it (it will be an opportunity for me to learn something new). The code of the config could probably be optimized - I have not seen any bugs, missing relationship popping up on my system, but it is always, so please let me now No Groups yet - to come in subsequent update No plans for future assets, but that could come ! I will release the source files (texture templates, ported 3d model etc...) 5. Hello all, Welcome to an adaptive music mod for ARMA 3 that I have revived and can no longer find on ARMAHolic or BI Forums. Some of you might have seen the Mood Jukebox mod that I have posted a while back. That mod might be getting another update if corrections can be made. This mod is designed to be an adaptive experience giving the right music at the right time (as much as ARMA programming goes). You will be able to start out with some low key tracks and then some hyped-up songs when in combat and revert back. Maybe some spooky feelings when the fog sets in. This mod has been originally created as a map script by Niklas Brettschneider and has been sitting on my hard drive for years. I have made this mod completely independent of any map scripting and will work on any singleplayer or multiplayer scenario. This mod will give you the following moods: - Day and night time playsets. - Fog playset when player enters fog levels over 30% - Skydiving playset when above 100 meters over a surface. - Enter any vehicle and get a non-combat playset for driving. - Combat playsets for on foot and in vehicles. (So getaway songs are a thing if someone is firing at you :O) If you have the debug mode on in the mod, you will get the following error on the mission load. The only error is a no debug box error on mission start when the debug parameter is set on. There is still a debug box though which will tell you what mode and song is playing. Subscribe to this mod on Steam For the version with a hud: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2105618121 For the version with no hud: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2105629270 You can tear apart this mod and create custom music packs. If you want a blank slate, here is a copy that you can download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tGb2CJDStTKgAbyEUrrXY_2gMFqJ47GM/view?usp=sharing Blank slate mod upload date: 5-31-2020 Please keep in mind, if you do repost this. Make sure you follow Workshop guidelines and credit my workshop page and original creator of the script. The current music in the mod is the OST tracks from Modern Combat 3 a mobile game developed by Gameloft back in the day. The music has not been picked up on youtube as copyrighted material and is clean to use. Possible upgrades I might do for this mod: - Add a rain playset array. - Add possible naval and flight music set array. - Remove dependency on CBA if I find a viable method. - Possibly add a playset when you enter a town or an area with more than 4 buildings. Required Addons: CBA 3: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=18767 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=450814997 Preview Video Video on how to replace music. The guide document shown is included in the mod. Update - 5-23-2020 - Fixed the song change when exiting Vehicle. Songs will immediately change to the correct category.
  6. Multiplayer Save and Load Saves a multiplayer mission in progress to be reloaded later. Downloads: Armaholic Steam Reloads units, gear, vehicles, weather/mission details, waypoints, tasks, buildings, markers, triggers, missionNamespace*, locations, etc... Mod designed for use to save the progress in player-made multiplayer missions. For best results when loading, start the original mission, then load your progress with the UI. Saved mission files are stored in the mod folder, so take care. I believe this is about as good as I can code a save/load mod in SQF. But if you can do better, please feel free to make coding suggestions here! Uses inidbi2 from code34. v2.1 Features - "Fast Save/Load" added. Approx. 30s-3min save duration. Save/Load uses all server processing power until the save/load is complete. (Game will appear frozen!) Fixes - Vehicle fuel is saved/loaded. V2.0 Features - Added Simple/Full Save/Load toggle, for much faster save option, but with fewer details recorded. - Faster load/save syntax. - Compatible with existing save files. - Saves "Things" (including ammo boxes and decorations). Fixes - General coding improvements - "Dead" vehicles do not respawn on load. - Hidden Map Objects - Global Triggers v1.1 Locations and MissionNamespace now saved. Note: missionNamespace items of type "CODE" are not saved, as this would decrease performance or break the process. MissionNamespace items are also not removed, so CODE items can be maintained by loading the original mission before loading your saved game. Known Issues: - Scripts running at the time of save cannot be re-initiated after. Also, full script environment cannot be re-initialised without starting the scripts at the beginning, which is likely to cause more trouble than it is worth. So I recommend loading mission progress whilst in the original mission. - Unit side anomalies reported. - Unit names not syncing globally. Will likely cause issue if scripts require a unit to have a specific name on clients. - Zeus will detach from some players in some instances. Use #adminLogged in Zeus Game Master modules, then re-login as an admin. - Use this code if the action is removed by your gamemode: player addAction ["<t color='#FF5500'>Multiplayer Save and Load</t>",{createdialog "MSLDialog";},[],-999,false,true,"","isServer or serverCommandAvailable ""#kick"""];

  8. I have some experience in writing code, but for the life of me cannot figure out how to write a small add on that is 1) always present, not a modified SQF(I do know how to sign a PBO) 2) Access events or other Arma scopes, I want to control the execution of my code. Does someone have a config.cpp with necessary headers for creating an add on. I just want to save flight data out of the game. I have seen the members/types of the Arma Class on BIS's web page, but have no clue on how to structure it. Thanks in advance!
  9. THERE IS ONLY WAR A Warhammer 40,000 mod for Arma 3. Warhammer 40,000 is a thrilling fantasy universe, one filled with deep stories, enormous conflicts, supremely evil characters, and an eternity of unending, soul-crushing war. It deserves a proper, massive, frontline experience that only a certain game can provide, and that game is Arma 3. "There is Only War" is a mod whose goal is a true representation of 40k in Arma. There will be a no-nonsense approach to creating this ultimate experience - Boltguns will blow targets away, Necrons will be nigh indestructible, Space Marines will stand heads taller than mortals, and one day, Battle Titans may stride over warzones, crushing and annihilating whole companies of troops with one volley of fire. This project will be true to the universe, and lore will be followed as closely as possible, confined only by game limitations, and in extreme cases, common sense. Now, this mod is not affiliated with the Warhammer 40k mod already on the Steam Workshop. While most of the devs on this team came from that project, and quite a few assets were given to us by that mod, we are not working with them, we are a separate mod. It is also important to state that we are not and will not be using any stolen assets, or assets from 40k video games, content will be made the old-fashioned way. "There is Only War" is currently in early development, and we have under a dozen developers at this time. We don't have a first release date yet, but it is certainly within a few months, and afterwards, we plan on monthly updates and patches! This mod is a very ambitious one, scores of animations must be done, hundreds of models completed and textured, and uncountable hitboxes and configs made, and we are looking for more developers to aid us in our endeavor, if you love this universe you'll find yourself at home with us. It's a tough job, but this task is not impossible to complete. Here is a short gallery of assets currently being worked on : There are many more assets in production, but all will be posted in time. Lastly, we do not own Warhammer 40k, all credit goes to the respective owners!
  10. ADV - ACE CPR Giving you a second chance if your everyday CPR doesn't do squat. UPDATED INFO: Dear community! I spent a lot of time here on the board and writing mods for my own community and you to use. And it has always been fun for me. But I haven't played Arma in over a year now and modding without using the fruits of one owns labour would be equally selfless and tedious. So I quietly waited out the end-of-life timer of my mod, as it was only a question of time when ace³ would release their medical rewrite. As of 1. January 2020 this has now happened. I therefore decided to drop my work on ADV - ACE CPR completely. My mod still works with ace³ versions below 3.12.6, so there's still the option to keep using it (but I'd recommend dropping my mod to update ace³ to the newest version!). Additionally you may visit my github and download all my ADV-ACE CPR data and modify, rework or base your own work, and distribute the mod as you see fit. The licence has been updated to reflect this, as with version 1.5.7 only the ace³ provided GPL 2.0 licence applies. Please feel free to post links to your work in this thread, so I can include the successors of ADV - ACE CPR in this first post. Sometimes I may even still come here and take a look at questions, but please don't expect too quick an answer. I have to thank the whole community for their positivity, help and support not just for me, but for every mod creator out there. When I started I didn't think something so small and simple as a mod that simply modifies the way CPR works, would be used so widely and by so many people. I'm thankful to have had this opportunity. You guys have been lovely to work with and I hope someone will pick up the lantern and provide you with the additional medical mods you need! Have fun! Current versions that came to my attention: ///////////////// OLD TEXT: My community and I had a serious problem with the way ACE handles its CPR. If you're playing with ace_medical_enableRevive=1 you might have found out that CPR practically does nothing as long as your patient has no pulse (i.e. is in the revive state). You would need to use a Personal Aid Kit to revive your patient, setting all his health variables back to their start values - practically doing a magical heal with the magical wand called PAK. With adv_aceCPR you can finally use CPR to get someone out of the revive state without healing him completely, making gameplay much more interesting. After successfully "stabilizing" the patient, he/she will have a basic pulse of at least 30bpm. ACE-doctors have a 40% success rate and ACE-medics have a 15% success rate. Regular riflemen can resuscitate a patient, but they will have a much lower success rate. They can still keep the patient from dying due to an expired revive timer though. The success rate is lowered if the patient looses blood and is raised if the patient received Epinephrine right before CPR. The minimum rate is always 2%, unless the player starts with a success probability of 0 (look at "For mission builders" for additonal info). Depending on your settings (adv_aceCPR_maxTime, see below) you might be too late to resuscitate a player with CPR alone - in that case I have good news for you: With version 1.4.0 a new item has been added to ADV - ACE CPR: A defibrillator. The defibrillator works almost like the CPR action, but you have to have an AED in your inventory and it's much faster and the success rate is way higher. Using the defibrillator will induce pain to all units who stand too close to a patient when the defibrillator is used (except for the operator). You can only use the defibrillator if you're a medic (ace_medical_medicClass > 0). With version 1.5.4 I have added the option to use stationary AEDs. You can set the stationary AED objects via CBA settings. Default is Land_Defibrillator_F. You can place a stationary AED via editor or curator. Players can approach the item and use an ACE action to activate the stationary AED. By activating it they have 12 seconds to use it on any unconscious patient in a radius of five meters. After 12 seconds the stationary AED will deactivate again. I recommend using ADV - ACE Splint additionally to ADV - ACE CPR - not just because I'm the modest author, but because these two mods offer the things I felt missing in the current version of ACE³. Download: The most current version (1.5.7) can be downloaded here: https://github.com/Pergor/ADV_Medical/releases/download/1.5.7/@adv_aceCPR.zip Or get it at armaholic (thanks to foxhound!): ADV - ACE CPR v1.5.5 For now I uploaded ADV-ACE CPR to Steam Workshop as well: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1104460924 Advanced Combat Environment 3 (ACE 3) Community Base addons A3 The Addon is signed and has a bikey. And of course ACE³ is needed - adv_aceCPR works with at least version 3.12.6 For mission builders: You can set the probabilities for successful resuscitation individually depending on the value for ace_medical_medicClass a player's unit has, or the time to be added to the revive timer or the duration during which CPR can still be applied successfully. The easiest way to do this is via CBA Settings ( https://github.com/CBATeam/CBA_A3/wiki/CBA-Settings-System ). Alternatively you can use the following variables in your mission: adv_aceCPR_probabilities = [40,15,5,85]; //the first entry is for ace_medical_medicClass == 2, the second for == 1, the third for regular units with ace_medical_medicClass == 0 and the fourth one for the defibrillator. So if you want to disable CPR for any player with less than ace_medical_medicClass below 2 just use something like this: adv_aceCPR_probabilities = [40,0,0,85]; The time to be added to the revive timer (+/-3 seconds) can additionally be set with this variable (default is 30, maximum is 40, minimum is 15 - if set to anything below 18 there's a chance you spend more time on CPR than you gain): adv_aceCPR_addTime = 30; To set the duration during which CPR can still be applied successfully, you can set adv_aceCPR_maxTime. (Eg. if your ace_medical_maxReviveTime is 600 seconds and you want players to only be able to resuscitate patients for 300 seconds, set it to 300. If the value is higher than ace_medical_maxReviveTime, it will revert to ace_medical_maxReviveTime). After this time you have to use AED or PAK to resuscitate a player (default is 1200). In other words: after adv_aceCPR_maxTime each CPR only adds time to the revive timer, it won't bring your buddies back: adv_aceCPR_maxTime = 300; The classname for the defribrillator item is "adv_aceCPR_AED" I highly recommend to adjust the values for adv_aceCPR_probabilities when handing out the AED. Current issues: - Unknown Special thanks: - LeWarz and the whole Spezialeinheit Luchs for playtesting - Markus from Boom Tools Filmton for his support and the AED sound! - T.Fork - NorX Aengell - DeliciousJaffa - GodofMonkeys - veteran29 - corp-0 Changelog: 1.5.7: Updated: licence And of course, the licence: This addon - as a whole - is allowed to be copied, distributed or modified as per the GPL-2.0 licence. Additional terms apply for the usage of this addon: You may not use this addon or parts or derivatives of it for any commercial purposes, including monetized game servers. This addon or parts or derivatives of it may not be used in any derivative of Life gamemode. Different licences may apply to parts of this addon if it's not copied or distributed as a whole.

  13. Dynamic ISIS War System ATTENTION: - 01/22/2019: Mission is under development again! I will upload it to Steam, when I get something ready! Heavily modified version of the famous DUWS-M, originally developed by Kibot (DUWS), modified by Bigshot and rlex (DUWS-M) and enhanced by myself (DISWS). In this version player(s) have to fight the Islamic State as well as the Al-Nusra Front. On each restart you'll get a dynamic, procedurally generated campaign, playable on any map you like (not tested on all maps! Please report back!). It's all about asymetric warfare against an enemy who is sometimes difficult to find. Even when you cannot find any differences between the enemy and the civillian population! Face suicide bombers, ISIS supporters and a lot of new features which are making the famous and great DUWS even more enjoyable! NOTE: If you like this mission, please leave me a rating. Thx! ******** A.T.T.E.N.T.I.O.N ******** !!! This mission does NOT run on dedicated servers !!! I'm very sorry for this, but there are so many scripts and for now it's just too much work to change them all. I once started creating this mission for SP for myself. - Update 1.80 - See Changelog below --------------------------------------------------------- *** Check the LATEST required mods *** --------------------------------------------------------- FEATURES It's basically DUWS - but with a LOT of new stuff! I turned it into a Insurgency-style dynamic whole-map mission with a lot of atmosphere. All new elements are working seamless together with the DUWS mechanics. Commandpoints can be earned by shooting Al-Nusra fighters, disarming IEDs, get intel by locals, finish missions based on intel, and more. You can choose several winning conditions for your playthrough in the mission parameters (lobby). Additionally to taking over ISIS held zones you have to help the locals defending their villages against the Al-Nusra Front. If you help them, they will forgot about civilian casualties and there will be less suicuiders and other supporters. Also Al-Nusra and ISIS are hostile to each other. I.e. if you get intel from the locals about an ISIS weapons cache, that one might be placed on a location where Al-Nusra fighters are hiding - or attacking. They will fight each other and you can use this situation to your tactical advantage, just to name one example. The whole situation provides a nice "dynamic chaos" with unforseen situations happening. AL-Nusra also likes to ambush their enemies - for example they hide in buildings and shoot from windows. So you might need to kick in doors and search houses to get them out of the towns. There are so many possible things happening around a playthrough that I really cannot write it all down. For DETAILS about using new features please check the DISWS-Manual (map ingame diary)!! Reputation System: Civilians will whether like or hate you, or just being neutral. Depends on the amount of casualties and if you help them defending their towns against Al-Nusra. The occupied/attacked villages will change on each new playthrough. You will never know where they are, so you have to check the villages. A red marker will appear when you find a occupied/attacked village - and turns green when you defended it succesfully Al-Nusra is able to re-take villages in some rare cases. If you fail to defend a place against one of their attack waves, they will occupy it and you have to plan an attack to re-take it. The more civilians get killed, the more people will join the enemy = More suiciders and ISIS Supporters will operate against you! Civilians are "divided" into religious groups who hate each other (Sunni and Shia muslims) You can gain your reputation by defending towns against the Al-Nusra Front. Conversations: You can ask civilians about their opinion and thoughts. Talk to them to monitor your progress about occupied and defended villages, as well as civilian casualties. Search civilians and dead bodies for intel and items - but take care. A suicider doesn't like to get interrogated! More sidemission from found intel! (Weapons caches, HVTs) Perform your own playstyle (missions from HQ, from Intel, or just clear villages or fight against ISIS) Command your team or command the whole army! It's up to you. Like in DUWS there's an AI commander, but you can of course add HC squads however you want Full RHS U.S. troops and equipment for WEST. ISIS and Al-Nusra Front troops and equipment for enemies (and some stolen vehicles from the Syrian Army) IEDs Arsenal Buy, recruit units, vehicles, weapons, support, AI squads, platoons, tanks, planes, helicopters, etc. Fire for Effect (Immersive Artillery System. See ingame description) Supply Drop includes Arsenal Logistics (transport any object with vehicles like trucks, helis, etc..) Respawn at homebase or any established FOB There's a chance for a dead man's switch triggering when shooting a suicider. So keep distance. Immersive Mine Detector for IEDs (it detects also materials used to construct IEDs which can lead to false alarm) Ambient soundscape (Prayer call, music, radio at houses and other places, ambient chatter - ONLY with TPW MODS) Support for Weapon Mods (Can be equiped via Arsenal) All progress is persistent and will be saved with your savegame All scripts and features written with performance in mind! But if you still get low FPS, try these: Ingame distance view setting (CH View. See ingame Manual) AI limiter (can be enabled via mission poarameters) ZBE Caching (can be enabled via mission parameters, if you're encountering low performance after trying other settings) All DUWS-M features are included and working - I won't name them here, they're too many Commandpoints will also be rewarded for disarming IEDs, shooting Al-Nusra Fighters and finishing tasks provided by intel Select the win conditions in mission parameters (lobby) DISWS-Manual can be found ingame (map). Check it for full features description and How-To Currently work in progress - So far everything is fixed now! I'll be working on future plans soon. SINGLEPLAYER: Use the server-browser and start a local host (LAN session). Save your progress using the custom save function (radio: 0-8-1 - Sitrep). - Default map is Takistan! But you can play it on any map you like. It might case trouble on real small maps. On some maps the random placement of zones/hq may not work properly - or placing zones out of the maps range. First try to decrease the distance from HQ, the zone radius or place them manually. To play on another map, just rename the PBO, i.e. to DISWS_1_66.Altis.pbo (Keep in mind that Windows maybe does not show file endings! Just make sure the file ends with ".pbo") DOWNLOAD PBO: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B81rpxl19DuQQVRneW9iZHpjWGs/view?usp=sharing STEAM WORKSHOP: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1159 CHANGELOG: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1159462402 KNOWN BUGS: - If you loose the Request Menu and other action menu items after respawn or when resuming a save, just respawn again or use the Save/Rest action at HQ or FOBs. 14. MONTELLA TERRAIN MOD ============================================================================================================================================================================================================================ ============================================================================================================================================================================================================================ Hello everyone, Its been more than two yeard since I started this project and I think it is time to make it public and breathe a sigh of relief. I hope you will enjoy every piece of it, just like i did making it. The Terrain is inspired by a mountainous region in Campania (Italy) south of Naples, yes it’s not an island. The vibe is the same as in “Chernarus” but with a touch of Italian Culture. The map is a scale 1: 1 with the real areas (Parco Regionale Dei Monti Picentini - Irpinia). It is essentially a big valley between two large mountains “Verteglia” and “Laceno” both with their points of interest, towns and much more. The valley has 3 big towns: the most important “Montella”, then “Bagnoli” and “Cassano”, two of which have already been completed. Also, an entire section has been removed to create an area that actually does not exist in real life, the “Irpinian Sea”. Being a rural area there are not many roads that connect the town easily therefore you will have to cross rivers and ride on top of high cliffs and mountains. The map uses at its best the Arma 3 assets both the vanilla and the Tanoa ones also, we imported some from Arma 2 and other mods. Update: Terrain is still Work in Progress The terrain is now in a condition i feel many of you can consider "playable". This does not mean that the mod is completed or that it represent a finished product, it still is a Work In Progress. You can download the mod from the workshop here: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198053485750/myworkshopfiles/ Latest Video: - Map size is 10240x10240m - Grid size is 2048 cells - Cell size is 5m circa - Sat/Mask size is 15360px - Citys and Villages 6 - Airports 2 Completed Task: - Towns: “Montella” and “Cassano” with their surroundings. - All the areas covered by trees are completed. - 20 km of rivers. - Almost all of the roads are completed and connected. - Custom highway that joins the two sides of the map. - Custom handmade “satellite map”. - Custom “mask map”. - All configs are written and ready. - A test server with a Custom made Exile Mission is fully functional. To do list: - Second largest city “Bagnoli”. - Small city on “Laceno”. - Harbor and its surroundings. - Fields and houses to fill the areas between each town. - A lot of small adjustments in cities like light-poles benches garbage’s bin and many other small details. ============================================================================================================================================================================================================================ I regularly post updates on my twitter and my YouTube channel and sometimes Stream at: https://twitter.com/MontellaTerrain https://www.youtube.com/user/avatar1924 https://www.twitch.tv/mistermark My Workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198053485750/myworkshopfiles/ If you want to contribute and help with the project you are welcome to Support the Team at: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=22T9PSBBVQD2U
  15. Hello community! I've had this released on the Steam Workshop after a long development period, and it's about time I introduce it here. I hope communities will enjoy using this! Hunter'z Persistency Module What is it? It's an "offline" (meaning, an SQL server or similar is NOT required) persistency framework for complex dynamic missions. It's meant as an alternative to existing solutions that use SQL servers. Instead of using a server/database approach, Hunter'z Persistency Module is fully SQF-based and outputs save data to text files in SQF-format. With this module you can avoid having complex infrastructure such as SQL servers and set up a persistent server with ease. What can it do? As a framework, it's got all the functionality you need to save any object, ammo crate, or vehicle and it's designed to be very easily customised so that you can save custom information such as object or mission variables. The module is focused mostly on realism/logistics scenarios, which means whatever you want to be persistent, you can set it up with ease and it will save every detail without compromise or room for exploits. For example, if you want to set a vehicle to be persistent, all you have to do is call one line of code and its state will be saved with all details down to the number of rounds it has in its guns. Player units are also persistent by default, which means not only does it save your position or your gear upon logging out, but also how many bullets you have in the magazines inside your backpack, the damage on all your body parts including your full medical state if you use ACE, any map markers you have placed and whatever else comes to your mind. The customisation of the framework is done by using API functions that you call either through scripts in your mission or live through the in-game admin console. These are all described together with setup instructions and further information in the manual that comes with the module. How does it work? It uses Killzonekid's debug console dll extension (with his permission of course) to write to a save file on the server machine. Although the save file comes out as pure SQF, due to the limitations of extensions in Arma, large data arrays are split up into smaller ones and parsed back to normal by the module during saving and loading. This means that you might see a lot of text in your save files, but since it's all SQF, you actually have the option of editing the data manually by hand in case of any problems you have in your mission or things you want to change. Saving to file is done automatically, through an auto-save system, for which you can set the save interval. The module is very performance friendly as it only uses resources when conducting a save, which usually takes less than a second. Player persistency is managed through connect/disconnect event handlers by the server, and other than these situations the module will not be using any CPU power! Future work / TODO? I plan on adding more features to the mod. One thing I will investigate soon is persistency of damage to map objects, such as buildings that are part of the map. No promises though! Download link You can obtain the mod through the Steam Workshop. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1207707864 Licensing The module is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. You may not sell this work or any derivatives of it, or financially profit from the use of the mod in any way. Trivia Although I've been working on Arma 2/3 for a few years now, this is the first mod that I got ready to be released for public use. I'm hoping to have release versions ready for my other mods, especially the AI mod I've been developing since 3 years, but we'll see... 16. Hello, community! 🙂 I have tried to create a mod with units using Drongo's Config Generator. I know how it works and I have created some mods already. What I want to share is an issue when I made my last mod. I have used this mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1124966491 for the uniforms and also Contact's Spetsnaz units, as my units should be Russians. I have tried the mod afterwards and only the uniforms are the CSAT vanilla (default) ones instead of the Russian variants. I have tried several times and I have got the same error every time, no matter if you units are from the F1 faction menu or the F2 groups menu. What could cause this problem? Thank you in advance! 🙂 🍻
  17. Hi. How can I add requiredAddons to a mod? I know it should be added to the config.bin (or .cpp) and I know the structure should be something like this: class CfgPatches { class My_Mod { units[] = { }; weapons[] = { }; requiredAddons[] = {"CBA_Extended_EventHandlers"}; version = "0.993"; versionStr = "0.993"; versionDesc= "My Mod"; versionAr[] = {1,0,0}; author[] = {"Me"}; }; }; But I don't know where you get the name of the required mod from. For example, in the above code I don't know where the name "CBA_Extended_EventHandlers" comes from. (I know what it is though!) Can someone please explain it to me?
  18. Hey guys, I've created a faction here, https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2023072593, but the BDRM and most vehicles have no gunner. I've check the config files and it has the Main turret crewed, but it does not have a gunner turret. IDK if that's how its suppose to look or.. if you check the faction, all the vehicles that are suppose to have gunner seats do not. Please help, Thanks.
  19. Hello everyone To begin, I want to apologize in advance for my English, I am French with a small level of vocabulary, helped by Google Translate. I request your help for the French server that I am finalizing. I got the Invade & Annex mission from Ahoy World and I am facing a small texture problem. Indeed, I created my own textures in a mod but as the server will be public and therefore accessible without mod I apply the standard textures of the game and the rgb colors. So I entered the textures to apply with and without mods in the Functions \ Vehicle \ fn_vsetup02.sqf file and when I connect with the mods, the standard textures are applied. When I launch the server side mod, the moded texture appears as it should but when I reconnect without the mod, the standard textures are not loaded and therefore the vehicles no longer have bodywork. Extract of the code: private _vehicle = _this select 0; if (!alive _vehicle) exitWith {}; private _vehicleType = typeOf _vehicle; [_vehicle] spawn AW_fnc_vehicleInventory; _vehicle lock 0; //=============vehicle specific FBCTexture = isClass (configFile >> "CfgPatches" >> "RETEXTURE_CE"); if (FBCTexture) then { switch (_vehicleType) do { case "B_Truck_01_flatbed_F": { //HMTT Plateau _vehicle setObjectTextureGlobal [0, "\RETEXTURE_CE\Data\HEMTT\truck_01_ext_01_co.paa"]; _vehicle setObjectTextureGlobal [1, "\RETEXTURE_CE\Data\HEMTT\truck_01_ext_02_co.paa"]; }; }; } else { switch (_vehicleType) do { case "I_APC_Wheeled_03_cannon_F": { //Gorgon _vehicle setObjectTextureGlobal [0, "A3\Armor_F_Gamma\APC_Wheeled_03\Data\apc_wheeled_03_ext_co.paa"]; _vehicle setObjectTextureGlobal [1, "A3\Armor_F_Gamma\APC_Wheeled_03\Data\apc_wheeled_03_ext2_co.paa"]; _vehicle setObjectTextureGlobal [2, "A3\Armor_F_Gamma\APC_Wheeled_03\Data\rcws30_co.paa"]; _vehicle setObjectTextureGlobal [3, "A3\Armor_F_Gamma\APC_Wheeled_03\Data\apc_wheeled_03_ext_alpha_co.paa"]; }; }; }; What I would therefore like is that when I connect with my mod, the moded textures appear but when someone connects without the mods, it is the standard textures that apply. In addition, when the vehicle is destroyed and must reappear, the texture must be correctly reapplied to the vehicle depending on whether the player has the mods or not. I know it works locally but I can't seem to find the solution. I have attached the Invade & Annex file to you as an attachment Thank you in advance for your help !

    Problem with taking off

    So i got this problem taking off where the plane would 'bump' (like hitting an invisible rock or something) on the runway when reaching certain speed making it impossible to takeoff. It occurs on RHS's Tu-95, TeTeTe3's Su-35 and PAK FA (forgot the author's name) , some Sabs' aircraft, HAFM but vanilla aircrafts doesn't seem to be affected including Jets DLC planes. I dont think its because of the runway terrain because i tried it on altis, stratis,and virtual garage all with the same result. Does anybody have the same issue or.. is it just me? Original https://forums.bistudio.com/forums/topic/212258-problem-taking-off/ Decided to move it here from troubleshooting thanks to suggestions and how it affects only modded planes and i'm a noob in forums Thanks guys, appreciate every help.

  24. UPDATE: Mod found here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1919803068 Hi, my names Anthrax and im proud to announce the development of my first mod, a retexture of the Livonian Defence Forces to a desert/arid camo pattern, which in my view will enable missionmakers to use the faction and its equipment in terrains outside of Eastern Europe. The scope of the mod is to replicate the LDF Faction for BLUFOR and INDFOR in my geometric desert camo pattern, right now the features scheduled for an eventual release (deadline cant be given at this stage) include: Infantry, infantry equipment, infantry groups, basic ground transport vehicles. Here is a photo showing my progress with the mod so far, note the LDF Soldiers & Equipment (Please note that in this image, Render Worlds is used and the lighting in that is not the same as the lighting in most other maps) All uniforms except for CBRN Gear and the Helicopter pilots outfit have been made. I'm not familliar with forums but hopefully i'l be able to provide progress logs on this website, lemme know what you think of the mod so far. Cheers 😛 CREDITS -Avery for providing me the original LDF camo sample and the textures for the modular vests -The other members of the A3 hub for providing me invaluable assistance with general modding concepts
  25. I've just begun modding in Arma 3, after someone approached me and asked me to help him with modding in a beret that didn't exist anywhere on the workshop yet, I did everything as he asked me to and followed closely Arma 3's limitations (10k triangles at most, no smooth shading, all triangles, taken from https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Modding_Characters). I used Blender to model the beret and managed to export it into a P3D file, then I exported its texture in a PAA file, then I created its icon and saved it as a PAA file, too. The problems began with the config file. I used a tutorial for a steel tube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxiwU94zwjg&) first, and actually spawned it in the game, it appeared in my inventory, but it didn't exist once I dropped it onto the ground, I thought that's just because I didn't add a line to the config, I don't think it's important so I ignored it Then I found an actual config file for a headgear (from https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Characters_And_Gear_Encoding_Guide#Headgear_configuration) and I thought if I just changed up some things it'd work good enough. After I was done modifying that config file and got the mod working the game wouldn't let me spawn the beret in. I didn't get any debug messages, nothing. The beret just wouldn't spawn in my inventory, as if it didn't exist in the first place. Now I know this is a long post, but I feel like I needed explained my whole "adventure", so that maybe someone gets an idea of what the problem might be. Here's the mod file if you want to check it out https://github.com/Kalimedes/Mod
