The Wrecking Crew The Wrecking Crew is a realism group that prides itself in its dedication to realistic and enjoyable game play, without the rigid aspects like permanent ranks and having to shout "Yes, sir" at a 14 year old. While we play mostly as British Forces to make coherent training possible, we have a whole host of players who come from all over the world, some as far out as Malaysia and South Africa. You select the role you'd like each week for our editor-driven operations, as long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the required training sessions for that role, with some not requiring any. This allows you to vary from leading a platoon one week to driving a tank the next. The freedom to experience so many different types of game play without hindrance on the co-operation & enjoyability is something you will struggle to find in most other ArmA groups. Public Server If you would like to experience first hand what it's like to play with TWC, come join us on our public server. It runs different dynamic game modes made entirely in-house with a more relaxed game play than in our operations, but it will still give you a good insight in the community and play style. You don't need to sign up to participate on our public server, just the mods and to connect to our TeamSpeak server. We've created an easy to follow guide on how to get connected here. About our Operations Alongside a public server that runs 24/7, the biggest event our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 20 to 40 people. As well as the occasional 'Joint Operation' with other groups which have encompassed up to 70 people total. Our operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you can liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in the plains of Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents. In these operations any recruit or member can play any role as long as he has received the corresponding training. In our operations we strive for maximum realism. We find real-life solutions for problems that we may face in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like saluting, hour-long marches and range etiquette. We aim for the most immersive experience possible by having minimal HUD, first person only, a single life and using ACRE 2 for communications.   4. YouTube Advert: Who are we? Zeus Community, an open community which has been playing Arma since the OFP days in 2001. Our Teamspeak server is our primary home with more information available via our website, forum and Discord channel. Links provided below. What should I expect on your server? We strive for Milsim oriented gameplay. In the hierarchical command structure, players are expected to follow the orders of their superiors and take responsibility of their subordinates. Communication and teamwork is key. Lone-wolfing, purposely ignoring commands, and other selfish behaviours will not be tolerated. We do employ some basic Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and radio procedures for the sake of efficiency but nothing overly complex which can't be understood quickly while playing. We play mostly cooperative (PvE) missions at platoon scale (around 30 players) though we have been known to play Team vs Team (PvP) missions on occasion. How many ArmA 3 servers do you run? Two main game servers: One “vanilla” public server and one “addon” server. The vanilla public server is open to anyone interested in milsim gameplay, experienced or new, as long as you don’t break server rules of course. For the public server, there is not a mandatory mod requirement though we do often play missions which require official DLC such as Apex for the Tanoa terrain. However, it is strongly recommended that players to connect to our Teamspeak server (even if you don't have a mic) since we use Teamspeak for pre-mission briefing, post-mission debriefing, and on-mission squad comms (instead of group/green channel). We also recommend that players install our optional custom modpack called "ZClient" which includes very useful clientside mods such as ShackTac HUD (see Info Repo link below). On the other hand, the addon server requires all players to have a working mic and installation of our custom addon server modpacks which includes gameplay enhancing mods such as ACE3, ACRE 2, RHS, additional terrains and more. It is recommended that newcomers try out our vanilla public server before considering moving on to our addon server where gameplay is slightly more hardcore (e.i. always revive vs permanent death). What times do you play? Zeus Community #1 Public: Gamenight every Sunday & Thursday, start 18:30 UK time (GMT/BST) Zeus Community #2 Addon: Gamenight every Saturday & Wednesday, start 18:00 UK time (GMT/BST) Why should I choose Zeus Community? Milsim gameplay but without the role-playing fluff. While the missions we run on our servers do employ a hierarchical command structure, the community itself (outside of gameplay) does not have player ranking, role whitelisting, or any other unnecessary RP fluff like some other milsim communities. No need for "Sir! Yes sir!". No mandatory training or minimum attendance required. We are an open community so we don't punish players if they happen to have a busy life and can't commit to playing games on a regular basis. We only ask that you don't slot into mission critical roles (e.g. squad leader, pilot, etc.) for a mission if there is a reasonable chance that you may have to go AFK for significant periods of time. Also, although we do employ basic SOPs, radio comm procedures, and we do organise optional training sessions, we don't require newcomers to undergo mandatory training before they can play. Just listen to your leaders, follow the example of more experienced players and you will quickly familiarise yourself with how we operate. In-community developed, custom missions. Using the 3den Editor tool, 99% of the missions we run on our servers are developed by the community, for the community. While we do allow our community’s developers creative freedom, we still maintain quality standards for our missions. Do note that, despite a coincidence in the name, we actually rarely play Zeus Game Master missions (our community name predates ArmA 3's ZGM gamemode). High frequency of brand new missions to play. Most milsim communities are stuck with a relatively small pool of missions to replay for months where new missions are produced on an infrequent basis. Our community on the other hand, benefits from a combined pool of around 600+ missions and produces an average of 5 brand new missions across both servers each week for the community to play. Mission diversity. Unlike many other milsim communities, we don't limit ourselves to particular factions, equipment, vehicles or mission objectives. In one mission you may be a guerrilla fighter with limited equipment tasked with ambushing an enemy convoy, and then in the next mission you may be a tank crewman in a combined arms scenario with CAS and artillery support. Even revive or respawn mechanics (or lack thereof) can differ between missions. Diversity is the spice of life. Echelon International | Veteran Run, No Commitments, Daily Operations Echelon International [IIIE] is a collection of like-minded individuals who are looking for a streamlined, tightly knit community of experienced players, hosts, and veterans who participate in authentic and immersive operations in a variety of settings. About 1RRF 1 FUSILIERS (1st Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers) is an ARMA 3 military simulation unit founded in 2016 by former Fusilier who served in the British Army. We use the British Army's FV510 WARRIOR tracked vehicle, specialising in delivering direct action through fire and manoeuvre. We want to bring together individuals who are looking for a more realistic, teamwork driven and team focused approach to online gaming in first person shooter (FPS) scenarios. Aiming to provide a good compromise between completely real tactics and tactics that work in game to maintain its core values of teamwork, friendship, realism and the drive to succeed. We take an immense amount of pride in disregarding numbers; only retaining those group members with the right attitude to cultivate the best possible atmosphere for enjoyable, immersive military simulation. FAQ Diverse Roles We offer a diverse selection of roles ranging from Armoured Infantry (FV510 WARRIOR), Aviation and Support Roles. Gameplay We are focused on first person gaming with limited aid to give our members a more realistic approach. The Fusiliers prides itself on its accurate and realistic training methods employed in conjunction with a well disciplined and professional atmosphere that is observed at all times during operations. As a Community, we will work together to ensure that our gaming experience is as close as we can get to the real thing, by: adhering to strict communications procedures; utilising a fully realised Ranking System, based on the British Army; providing detailed and well thought out campaigns and missions, built in-house; employing higher command to oversee section movement and taskings and methodically plan and execute operation orders. Sunday Night Ops We conduct operations every Sunday at 7:30pm London time. Our missions are created in-house and put an emphasis on realism, action and narrative. We will hold mid-week trainings or mini Operations as well as a bigger Operation every Sunday - both of which are primarily focused on Co-Op gameplay. Modifications We have our own in-house developed Add-Ons and we support and use modifications such as Advanced Combat Environment (ACE3), Community Upgrade Project (CUP), Advanced Combat Radio Environment (ACRE2). In order to attain the levels of realism that we require we utilise a number of mods for Arma 3, these are split into a core set that will rarely change and mission or campaign specific mods. Additionally, we do not allow our members to be in any other milsim communities, this is because we expect a high level of commitment from all our members.   12. Who We Are: This unit started as a merge between an American and a British unit all the way back in ArmA, yes the first ArmA. We didn’t start out as a parachute regiment back then, but as the 23rd mountain division. It became apparent however, that we wanted a different way. And we came into the world as 3PARA. The era the unit will be taking part in is the war with the Covenant (along with fighting insurrectionists as well) and the possibilities can range from dropping behind enemy lines, to supporting militias on occupied worlds or can range to planetary defense or invasion of an occupied world. we are also interested in playing with other units. Information The unit is a community between milsim and casual play, in-game during unit events, members are expected to play with a sense of realism from loading in and grabbing gear to the ending with a debrief. Campaigns will be 4 missions long (1 mission per week), Major Campaigns will be 6-8 missions long (1 1/2-2 months long) operations will be on Sundays at 6pm EST (5pm CST) and training will take place on Friday at 6pm EST (5pm CST). Campaigns will have different endings depending on the outcome of the previous missions before the final one, and can depict of moving the unit to another planet or retreating and changing the outcome of its position in the UNSC's fight against the covenant.   22. About us: [GHSE] - Gameaholic.se is a non-profit gaming community (earlier known as Hjerpeskans) founded in 2002. We host and administrate our own servers, arrange a 4-day long LAN-meeting every summer and have a booth at the Sci-Fi World convention every year. As a community we testing and playing alot of games, editing missions and making events together. We've become a bunch of really good friends over the past years, sometimes it feels like a big family or more like a band of brothers. With a member pool on around 1000, there were never a problem with creating a ArmA 3 unit, event or server. Today we are ~40 active members signed to permanent roles and Groups for our Coop-Nights and other special Joint-Op events. Our missions: On Friday nights every week, around 18:00 to 02:00, we run one of our ArmA 3 events, called "Co-op Night". As most of you know, Co-op stands for cooperative which means, players against AI (Artificial Intelligence), so if you're up for TvT/PvP, we aint what you looking for. During all Co-op Nights we play in permanent groups, with predetermined roles and dutys. Before mission starts, all participants shall have thier group, role, equipment and addons ready. This is almost the only demand we have, so please follow it. On our ArmA 3 server we've chosen to play MilSim due most of us have done military service and Sold-F is our Bibel. In other words, making the game as realistic as possible, mature gamers, playing missions together with high empathy. It's pretty simple, all who playing with us on our server need to follow this code. If not, dont even bother joining. In order to get the gameplay as realistic as possible, we use a few mods and addons on our server using ArmA3Sync. Some of'em just trusted, but most of'em are a requirement, read more about it in here! Same goes with Teamspeak 3 Client, due to all of our voice'n radio communication in-game is over TFAR/ACRE2. We play as Swedish Armed Forces and our main language during missions are Swedish only. When Friday night closing in, we take down the server, updating or changing mission. Around 18:00 server are back up'n running so all players and groups can get thier shit together before heading out (normaly 19:30 ish). Prospective Signallers and Combat Medical Technicians participate in a more basic version at Phase 1; a two hour Common Military Syllabus (Recruits) course, before moving on to Phase 2 for either the Regular Radio Users cadre or Phase 2 RAMC. Experience is key within 160 Infantry Brigade. Although every step is taken to ensure an authentic experience representative of the modern Rifles Regiment, the unit deviates in key areas from British Army doctrine and it is the wealth of experienced gained as part of the unit as opposed to an individual's experience in milsim that defines our leaders. For those with enough time and dedication under their belts, potential junior non-commissioned officer courses are held when positions open to determine candidates for the next generation of section commanders. Successful JNCO candidates then undertake Phase 3 training as part of the section commander's battle course; with further options including the platoon serjeant's battle course available. Basic Recruitment Requirements: - 16+ years of age - Based in a European time zone - Excellent grasp of the English language - A working microphone and copy of ARMA 3 - Able to attend the majority of Friday operations - An interest in organised, realistic and teamwork-oriented military simulation - The will to learn and support the unit's development Other Information 160 Infantry Brigade is a small milsim unit, representing at largest a single infantry platoon of 1st Battalion, The Rifles. Our aim during operations is to focus in on light role infantry combat, eschewing supporting elements such as joint helicopter command or recce platoon in order to concentrate our efforts on producing the finest infantry milsim we can possibly achieve. Those looking to perform pilot, vehicle crew, sniper or special forces roles will not find this unit accommodating for their tastes. All Brigade operations take place once a week on Fridays at 1900Z. Unit communication, warning orders, leave of absence and administration is handled through a Discord server and steps will be taken to discipline and eventually remove members who fail to communicate and/or contribute adequately to the unit.
