  5. 2nd Ranger Regiment - new milsim unit looking for committed members About the unit: The 2nd Ranger Regiment is made with the intent to scratch your itch for military simulation in ArmA 3. We want this to be an immersive experience for players who want to both perform and learn. The unit is created with ArmA 3 in mind, meaning we will alter our doctrine to make it more effective in ArmA rather than what would be used in a real situation however for as many things as the game will allow we intend on keeping it authentic. Our final goal is to have an entire infantry company, complete with support elements such as; armoured, rotary and recon. What we can offer you: Our philosophy is with great training comes great players who in turn is given the abilities to overcome tremendous tasks and with every role receiving training and testing before being able to assume just about any position in a mission we believe that our final product will be able to swing with the toughest there is. We also realise that only some people is looking to become a group leader which is why it would be up to you if you want to go to sergeant school or if you want to continue up the enlisted ladder. Below is a few of the many roles we provide specialized training for: -Recon/Marksman -Rotary support pilot -Group leader -Advanced rifleman -Platoon commander -Medic -Light armour - Zues What we demand from you: To give a consistent experience for everyone we obviously need our players to be consistent. We also believe in serious fun meaning the fun part of playing ArmA should be to overcome the challenge through the skills you have learned through teamwork and communication. We don’t run a hard age restriction but the demands both for attendance and maturity will be the same whether you are 16 or 36. Important note: Due to the unit being so fresh that we are still working on the final stages meaning it will be another little while before campaigns can be launched and obviously we need at few players before it will make sense to start the specialized training or to even start running missions. So if you are the kind of man or woman who values learning, immersion and loyalty highly either write me here or swing by our discord for a chat and let us see if the 2nd Ranger Regiment may be the new home for your ArmA heart Discord: https://discord.gg/rx9CsnF

  8. Introduction Greetings, Im PFC. D. Ryan with the 1st Army Rangers we are a new WW2 semi-realistic milsim with 10+ members and we are looking to expand. Add me on steam for more questions. Background It was originally formed shortly after the United States' entry into World War II and was modeled after the British Commandos during the war. Members from the unit were the first American soldiers to see combat in the European theater when they participated in the failed raid on Dieppe in France in 1942, during which three Rangers were killed and several more were captured. Later, the 1st Ranger Battalion was sent to North Africa where they participated in the landings in Algeria and the fighting in Tunisia in 1943. Also in 1943 the unit provided cadre for two more Ranger battalions created between the campaigns in Sicily and Italy. Origins The 1st US Army Ranger Battalion was founded in late April, 2018. It is a subgroup of a larger gaming community, known as "Splinter Cell Gaming". Purpose The 1st US Army Ranger Battalion is focused on providing an effective atmosphere for those who wish to immerse themselves into the Second World War era, from the perspective of a member of the 1st Rangers. Operations Operations with the 1st US Army Ranger Battalion will occur in two major "types". Miniature operations, occurring spontaneously throughout the week, will be minor missions. Examples of such are stealing intelligence or destroying an enemy outpost. These minor missions will have small effects on the Major Operation (such as knowing the enemy's location, or having an enemy vehicle at the disposal). Major Operations, occurring at scheduled dates and times, will be the Primary Campaign of the 1st US Army Ranger Battalion. Each Campaign will consist of multiple Main Operations. Requirements 16+ Years of age Mature Show up at unit events Know how to play Arma 3 Download selected mods Speak English Teamspeak IP: 173.234.27.145:10022 Steam Group: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/1stArmyRangerBattalion

  12. Disclaimer: 3rd Special Forces Group is a newly formed Unit, which will be based on maturity, cohesion, and tactics. No fancy ACR's or Quad NVG's. Good men, and good games. We are veteran owned and veteran operated. What We Strive to Accomplish: The 3rd Special Forces Group (3rd SFG), will be a small tight knit community centered on good laughs and realistic game play. The core focus of the group will be small unit tactics and solid communication. We do not use a ranking system and will follow a chain of command based on position. Training: We are looking for the best we can find. We will accept no less through our doors. We have a small but rigorous selection process for our unit. If you pass you will be selected as a Candidate for our group, with full permissions. Once you prove yourself and earn an MOS, you will complete a culminating exercise known as "Robin Sage" and you will earn a permanent spot in our ODA. There is no basic training here, if you don't know your stuff, you need not apply. Operations: Been to CLAfgan 50 times this week to fight "ISIS"? Not here. 15. Hi guys i'm a Zeus player looking for a milsim unit to Zeus for. I've been Zeus for two communities in the past and despite the difficulties I've also been Zeus on public servers too. I'm mainly looking for a unit that isn't too large or too strict. I'm from the UK so i'll be more inclined to join a more EU unit due to timezones though i'm open to joining other units too.
  16. Who are we? Number 2 Company of the Coldstream Guards was created on the 2nd of April, 2018. We are a semi-realistic British milsim unit that operates in modern times. Since the Coldstream Guards are a Light Infantry unit, most of our events consist of maneuvers on foot at a Section-level although if we need to cross long distances or get somewhere quickly, we utilize lightly-armoured vehicles for transport such as Coyotes, Jackals and MRAPs. Event Information We conduct 4 types of events in No. 2 Coy, C. GDS. These are: Field Training Exercises (FTXs) Trainings Standalone Operations Campaign Operations Our events start at 7PM EST and can last anywhere from 1 hour - 3 hours depending on the type of event. We will give appropriate notice if the event will last a while. Structure of the Unit The Coldstream Guards are one of the Foot Guard Regiments of the British Army and is the oldest regiment in the Regular Army that is still in active service. Although we are technically underneath 1st Battalion of the Coldstream Guards, in reality there is only a single battalion anyways so we took that out of the equation when naming our unit. Our long-term goal is to grow and fill up an entire company and have linked support assets working alongside our guys on the ground. Although it may take a while to ever get to that stage, we are confident that with the right people helping organise and lead the unit, we can get there. Everyone has a part to play! Available Roles Since we are a brand new unit, we doubt they'll be pilot slots or sniper positions opening up anytime soon. That being said, there are plenty of infantry-based roles that might interest you: Rifleman Grenadier (Underslung Grenade Launcher) Pointman (CQB) Marksman (7.62mm Designated Marksman Rifle) Light Machine Gunner (5.56mm belt-fed Machine Gun) Medium Machine Gunner (7.62mm belt-fed Machine Gun) Junior NCO Positions (Cpl. and below) Senior NCO Positions (Sgt. and above) Signaller (Communications) Medic For those of you that enjoy helping units stay organised and would like to get into the admin side of things, once you've been in the unit for a couple weeks and have shown a good level of commitment and loyalty, we can look into getting you incorporated into our admin staff. Recruitment Process If you would like to join the unit, please contact one of our Recruitment Officers or comment below and we'll get in touch with you ASAP. (Please see bottom of the post for a list of our Command Staff and Recruitment Staff) Once contact has been made, we will answer any questions you might have and get you to fill out an application form. This gives us a good basis of what kind of person you are. After that, you will go through a quick 2-3 minute interview where we will ask you some standard questions and all you have to do is answer them to the best of your ability. Finally, you'll be tagged up on Steam, asked to start getting the mods downloaded, invited to the Steam group and voila, you're now a member of Number 2 Company of the Coldstream Guards! 17. The Wrecking Crew The Wrecking Crew is a realism group that prides itself in its dedication to realistic and enjoyable game play, without the rigid aspects like permanent ranks and having to shout "Yes, sir" at a 14 year old. While we play mostly as British Forces to make coherent training possible, we have a whole host of players who come from all over the world, some as far out as Malaysia and South Africa. You select the role you'd like each week for our editor-driven operations, as long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the required training sessions for that role, with some not requiring any. This allows you to vary from leading a platoon one week to driving a tank the next. The freedom to experience so many different types of game play without hindrance on the co-operation & enjoyability is something you will struggle to find in most other ArmA groups. Public Server If you would like to experience first hand what it's like to play with TWC, come join us on our public server. It runs different dynamic game modes made entirely in-house with a more relaxed game play than in our operations, but it will still give you a good insight in the community and play style. You don't need to sign up to participate on our public server, just the mods and to connect to our TeamSpeak server. We've created an easy to follow guide on how to get connected here. About our Operations Alongside a public server that runs 24/7, the biggest event our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 20 to 40 people. As well as the occasional 'Joint Operation' with other groups which have encompassed up to 70 people total. Our operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you can liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in the plains of Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents. In these operations any recruit or member can play any role as long as he has received the corresponding training. In our operations we strive for maximum realism. We find real-life solutions for problems that we may face in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like saluting, hour-long marches and range etiquette. We aim for the most immersive experience possible by having minimal HUD, first person only, a single life and using ACRE 2 for communications. Our operations take place on Saturday at 18:30 (UK time) and can last up to four hours or more. Interested in trying it out? If you're interested in participating in public, or signing up to try out our operations, you can check out our website for more information: http://www.thewreckingcrew.eu/. Alternatively, you can contact us on Discord, or pop directly onto TeamSpeak where any member will be willing to help you join with no hassle.

  23. Greetings to all, and thanks for checking out my post! There are plenty great of groups out there, and I hope you find the one that is right for you. What follows is a summary of the inspiration behind TFTW and some additional information to help give you an idea of what the group is all about. Before we start, here is some good music to bring pleasure to your ears while you are reading: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQM0QDQf21k :) In July of 2017, some good friends and I founded Task Force Timberwolf while I was in Eastern Europe on a training mission. The group has already grown into something extremely meaningful to me, and it's a project I hope to continue building for the rest of time. I am passionate about and have an immense interest in everything military and the Arma series is the perfect sandbox to tell stories, play out scenarios, and overall just be immersed in a military conflict zone environment. The type of gameplay offered in the series is unmatched by any other platform, and it scratches that itch perfectly. Since starting this group, I have focused hugely on ensuring that we have a healthy, good community of players. This is an absolutely critical part of building a group right. We only take those who can get along well with others, those who have maturity, and those who have a passion for Arma and military role-playing/simulation. Our group focuses primarily on military sandbox gameplay augmented by other event types which can take place in a conflict zone. The goal is to create an immersive and interesting military sandbox environment for each mission, and I have a dream of introducing unique role-playing elements into missions to add depth to storylines. I encourage our players to treat every scenario with the thought of "what would I do if I was in this situation in real life?". Our sandbox environments and use of real-world tactics bring an incredible amount of life and purpose into our scenarios. The group is a small project currently, but its future is incredibly bright and I am absolutely hyped to see the community grow and prosper. If you think this type of gameplay is what you're looking for in an Arma group, I highly encourage you to apply. Be forewarned, though, the selection process is tough, and I am looking for quality, dedicated members who truly want a good experience. While Task Force Timberwolf places an emphasis on using authentic tactics, techniques, and procedures of actual military operations, the community is definitely NOT a hardcore MILSIM group. It's a friendly, light-hearted community outside missions and people are never going to be subject to rank-and-file nonsense of many hardcore groups out there. My goal here is not to force people into the right state of mind for events, it is to attract the types of people who really do enjoy a type of gameplay that is often slower-paced, much more authentic, and more immersive than the typical experience. Task Force Timberwolf won't ever require members to attend our regular events. People should want to come to the events instead of being forced to come to the events. Our members have families, jobs, school, commitments, and otherwise. As a US Army service member who was stationed overseas, I totally get that. It's part of being a member of society in the real world and Arma shouldn't define your life. Session Times: Fridays at 2200 US Central Time (alternate with Saturdays) Saturdays at 2000 US Central Time (alternate with Fridays) Sundays at 1300 US Central Time We require that all applicants: Are 18+ years of age Own a legal copy of Arma 3: APEX Use a working, clear microphone Use wired internet connection Have a great attitude! If you'd like to fill out an application to become part of our family, please find one under https://www.taskforcetimberwolfhq.com/recruitment. Make sure to actually submit text here, some people tend to overlook that. We will likely not accept short applications of "hey, I want to join" etc. Please put some thought into it. I'm excited to see what you have to say, it's always a pleasure to be connected with the Arma community! See you in the field! IN PACK, WE HUNT! Very respectfully, ICE MAN Founder, Task Force Timberwolf
  24. Welcome to the Mobile Infantry! In the 1. Mobile Infantry Division we strive to produce an active and elite organization that utilizes ground and air assets to accomplish the mission. For the most part a member of the 1. MID is an infantryman and undergoes a thorough training program to later become an official member of the Mobile Infantry. If the recruit wishes to be something other than a standard infantryman the option is available to become a member of the Mobile Infantry’s Air Corps if there are positions available. As the name suggests, Mobile Infantry is just that. Mobile. We use standard operating procedures that you may be familiar with if you have joined an ArmA unit in the past or served in the Armed Forces. Mainly the 1. MID sticks to the ground unless the mission requires traveling long distances. You will learn to use and maneuver ground vehicles in both friendly and hostile situations during training scenarios and standard operations. In the event of a long distance operation the 1. MID is flown in by our pilots aboard helicopters. We also may get resupplied by our Air Corps during long engagements to maintain combat effectiveness. To begin your journey into the Mobile Infantry your must first apply on the 1. Mobile Infantry Division’s website and afterwards download our Introduction Manual. Familiarize yourself with the Introduction Manual as it will instruct you on how we operate here in the 1. MID. You are welcome to join us on our TeamSpeak server at any time after your application has been accepted. Once accepted your first priority should be to meet with one of our instructors who will set a date and time for your training. After training and a brief probationary period of two weeks if you are under the age of 18 you will become an official member of the 1. Mobile Infantry Division. Positions in the 1. Mobile Infantry Division: (Position availability varies) Apache Company: 09W: Warrant Officer Pilot 15P: Aviation Operations Specialist 15W: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator Cherokee Company: 11B: Infantryman 11C: Indirect Fire Infantryman 12B: Combat Engineer 19D: Cavalry Scout The Mobile Infantry requires the following: Have a legitimate copy of ArmA and all official DLC. Have a working microphone and the ability to speak English clearly. Have the ability to download and store large files for our mod packs. Be at least 16 years of age or older. Be able to attend weekly on Saturdays at 2pm EST. Maintain a level of maturity and respect for others during Trainings and Operations.
