  1. Trying to have a soldier called AA_01 unholster/switch to a rocket launcher that's on his back. He isn't carrying a primary weapon or sidearm.   2. In the past I've noticed issues with performance that coincide with high memory use by the MsMpEng.exe service, which is the background 'real-time scanning' by Windows Defender. The problem seemed to go away, but now has returned over the last week. Thus far I have followed the advice from Answers Microsoft, changing Defender's Schedule and adding MsMpEng.exe to Defender's exceptions. However, the issue has persisted. I began booting things up step-by-step to see where the issue kicks in. When completely idle (no apps launched), the anti-malware service would run, but usually at a low level and if it did spike it wouldn't be as extreme as when playing Arma and would subside shortly. With Steam launched, the disk use rises (around 60-80% typical), with the service appearing to be the primary guzzler of disk use. However, shortly after launch things return to a 'stable' state. The same cannot be said once the launcher is run. Disk use spikes to 80-100%, with MsMPEng.exe being the primary consumer at between 60MB/s and 80MB/s. It continues to fluctuate for as long as I have the launcher open, even if I do nothing with it, and will subside once it is closed after a little while. I have tried adding the arma3launcher.exe service to Defender's exceptions and have restarted since...but Defender doesn't seem to be paying any attention. Would appreciate some advice on next steps from somebody a bit more familiar with such things. Cheers, Law
  3. Looking for some help if anyone could oblige me? I linked my Steam and Bohemia Accounts last night, but got no confirmation that the two were linked other than the steam "you're logging in from a new device, please enter this code" email. Since then when I load up the launcher it doesn't show my unit, and says the accounts aren't linked. It also shows in my in game profile that I have no unit, which is slightly concerning as I'm currently in the process of founding a unit. As a note everything was working perfectly fine before i linked the account. It also appears that instead of linking to my steam account it has created a totally new steam account. Does anyone know of a) how to fix this so i am actually shown as a part of a unit and b) to either delete the linked account or link my bohemia account with teh steam account i play and bought the game on? I tried looking online and most of them seem to be resolved by a PM on here from from Bohemia. Any help to sort this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

    Arma 3 - Dedicated Server Problem

    I had a problem for about three days. I downloaded the "ARMA 3 SERVER" tool normally, I also downloaded the application to easily manage the "TADST v3.1.0" server configurations, put it in the Arma 3 Server folder as it teaches, I opened the ports on router 2302, 2303, 2304, 2305, 2306 and other necessary doors, I opened up too many doors, my "UPNP" is enable. But whenever I start the "dedicated server" it appears in my "ARMA 3 LAUNCHER" on the "RECENT" tab, but when I look in the "INTERNET" tab it does not appear. My friends have tried direct connection, searching in the search box and nothing, just does not appear to them the server. I've already tried disabling the "FIREWALL" completely, I already tried it in virtual marking with "WINDOWS SERVER 2012 R2" and nothing, just appears in the "RECENT", wanted to know if there is any solution to my problem, because all places say the same thing about opening ports or disabling the Windows firewall.My internet provider follows the "PPPOE" system, does it influence anything?     Launcher for linux/mac?

    As the tittle say, will be possible a launcher for linux/mac, i know there are already launchers for unix, but i would like to know about an official launcher with all the features of the windows launcher.
  6. Frontline is a PvP mod that brings the same structured teamwork orientated gameplay found in games such as Project Reality, Squad and the Tactical Battlefield mod back to Arma 3. The aim is to create a set of realistic game mechanics and systems that puts the responsibility on the players to play as a team to win. The majority of the features of the mod will be very familiar to players of the aforementioned games/mods. Roles and squads Commander features and command structure Rally points and forward outposts Weapon re-balance, smoke and particle rework Defensive structures construction Vehicles and assets become available at specific player numbers. Medical system Custom suppression effects Squad radar Spotting system Heavily modified and enforced TFAR version 3D Interaction (Easier door opening, ladders and more) Vehicle Maintenance Freakishly simple 2-clicks-from-vanilla-arma-to-being-screamed-at-by-your--squadleader launcher. Excellent performance relative to other game-modes that have large player numbers Smooth and polished interface and systems AI fighters only for when the server is waiting for actual players to join But why is it called Frontline? Because we fight on the Frontline! Gone are the days of fighting over arbitrary buildings and locations, now territory is king. You decide what locations are tactically relevant the whole battlefield is your playground. Push the Frontline by taking and holding ground, the team with the most territory bleeds the other of tickets, the more territory the faster the bleed. The Frontline constantly updates and flows with the shape of the battle forces the teams to play together, communicate and fight in a realistic manner. Flank enemy squads to cut them off from reinforcement and supply, probe for undefended gaps in the Frontline and breakthrough. The only place to play it is on the server run by the development team (this will change as the player-base expands). The mod and it's dependencies are available on steam workshop. If you have any problems installing please use the launcher we made. It's idiot proof. The steam workshop is there because people wanted it, and it works just fine, but we will only support/help people installing with the launcher. Details of the launcher in the second post of this thread and you can get it on the website. The server also uses CUP terrains, Kunduz and some custom terrains that are all in the mod pack delivered by the launcher. Teamspeak is mandatory because of the mod-integrated Task Force Radio, but even if you don't have TS, the launcher will help you install teamspeak, take care of all the TFR plugins, open the frontline teamspeak, put you in the right channel, open TrackIR if you have it, launch Arma, put you into the server, and make you a nice cup of tea just the way you like it.) We have a website here frontline-mod.com but nearly all interaction with/between the community is on the discord On the discord we discuss feedback, trash-talk and organize events and playing times. We play at specific times, we don't yet have the player-base to have spontaneous games so we set specific game nights to get bigger games with more players and combined assets unlocked. So yes the server is empty most of the time, and no that does not mean the mod is dead. Come to the discord to find the time of the next fight, but right now it is every Wednesday (RHS), Saturday (RHS) and Sunday (Iron Front) at 1800GMT. Some background on the development: The mod has been in development for several years now, starting with a sub-section of the dev team that developed Tactical Battlefield. The SQF coding is built on top of the framework made by the AAW team. The tech behind the Frontline itself is something entirely unique to this mod. A whole Python extension framework has been built from scratch just to be able to execute our Python code on the server that takes care of "capturing" the terrain and computes a realistic frontline based on the situation in the AO. On a side note: we're quite proud of how we implemented it. In fact, we're so proud of our ingenious tricks used that we're currently (early 2018) going to Python conferences and giving talks about the gamemode. Its pretty cool stuff and as the bonus of fantastic performance.

    A3 Launcher

    So Arma3 Launcher suddenly decided to axe all of the mods I had subscribed to. Says mods do not contain Addons folder (when they clearly do as I checked and double checked). https://imgur.com/j3Qp4vz EDiT: to add some further context. - I can still launch and play the game without any mods active; -newly subscribed addons do not download and are stuck in an eternal quenue limbo; -I had played A3 with same update just the previous day with no such issues; -Repair tab does nothing
  8. I was able to export and import mod presets, but my friend couldn't because his button was grayed out. And after I restarted the launcher the same thing happened to me. Any fixes?
  9. So as the title says, I have a problem. Played on a really bad computer for like 20 hours, no problem, now I changed my specs to much more decent and can't even open the launcher.   10. Hello, recently, I updated my windows 7, as it had been out of date for some time, and I noticed that after the update my Arma 3 launcher refuses to work. Note, I have noticed a few strange error messages on other programs, like, D3DComplier_47.dll is missing and so on, since I updated my windows so maybe that has something to do with this. This is the error message I get when I attempt to launch the launcher: https://imgur.com/a/JzSlP Note, I can launch Arma 3 through the .exe but not through steam or the launcher.exe. Here is what I have tried so far to resolve the issue: 1) I have searched other BI forum posts and FeedbackTracker tickets to see if anyone has resolved the issue. So far, none of them have worked, and it appears that the issue I am having seems to always have a unique fix. 2) I have downloaded the D3DComplier_47.dll file and I have placed it in the main Arma 3 folder and System32 folder. 3) I have downloaded a couple of registry error fix programs. 4) I have verified my game cache and reinstalled Arma 3. 5) I have deleted various files inside the \Launcher folder in the main Arma 3 directory and verified the cache to reinstall the files; no luck. 6) I have attempted to install various versions of Microsoft Net Framework, however, everytime I try to install them them, they fail or cannot be updated. 7) I have checked and updated my graphics drivers. 8) I have checked and updated my CPU drivers. 9) I have checked my computer for an update file known as KB307... something along those lines, and I don't have it on my computer. 10) I have tried using Windows Checker System via the CMD window as suggested by BIS_Wizard on another forum post, so far, no luck. Here is the official error .txt file that is placed on my desktop everytime the launcher crashes Any help, suggestions, or input, is greatly appreciated. I'd defininetly like to get back to playing Arma 3. Thanks!

Does anyone know why we are getting this error with our server when viewed from the ArmA Launcher > Servers; select server and click the More details... button: https://1drv.ms/i/s!AnX2_vGoXf5F8VT8JH3gxW6q-lPV Basically I get a nice red line telling me "Server can't transmit all data; some allowed mods might be missing of their signatures not regognized In the mods list the none of the mods are recognised and some have a red text message: e.g. "Load 'USP Patches & Insignias' from library (signature mismatch)" I did not have much success searching for other people with similar problems apart from one thread where someone thought there was a limit on the serve information that could be transmitted and it was an issue with having too many mods specified (though I thought this was unlikely). Thanks in advance. S PS - If you ignore the error and select Keep Current Selection and Join button there are no problems joining the server.

    Launcher server fiters

    Hello, i wanted to play multiplayer on public server and meet serious limitation - every server have restricted access beacuse of required DLC. I didnt find ANY game without required DLC i do not own, so is there possible to add filter of required DLC's, like you can mark what DLC could be required?
  13. Does the game find out by it self that i shall use the X64.exe in the game or do i have to use the x32 launcher and add the mods i need and then close the game and then press X64.exe in game folder?

    ARMA wont launch

    t arma didnt come up after hitting play on the launcher Restarted computer, verified integrity, reinstalled arma, backed it up, crazy and sandman gave all the suggestions they could. I feel like I've tried everything.
  15. I am attempting to add Launcher animations and transitions for the prone stance. Selecting a launcher in prone only to make your character stand or crouch, revealing yourself to enemy fire or sight, is unacceptable. Not being able to ready a launcher or even fire one from the prone position is unacceptable. ACE 1 and 2 did this by creating new States in the animation config, and altering the Actions for transitions. As ArmA 3 has added more actions and made some animation config entries defunct, I am having difficulty porting this feature over. Currently the animation state works correctly when switching from a rifle in prone to a launcher in prone. Attempting to switch to a launcher without a weapon (civil Lying) goes into multiple animations ending up in civil standing, and it does not work when switching from launcher standing or launcher kneeling.   17. Hello, I'm sorry to post. I've read and tinkered with settings for days and there don't seem to be any clear docs on this. The basic problem is: I'm trying to allow my group to join the server via the vanilla launcher. But when they go to join the server, I can't get any mods to show up in the "Required Addons" section. Here's what I've tried... Mods are launched via the -mod parameter (of course) All mod's keys are in the keys folder Mission.sqm's define mods in the addons[] and addonsAuto[] array verifySignatured = 2 battleye enabled My server is registered with out unit page But no matter *what* I try, they don't show up in the required part. Here is what it looks like while trying to join... I believe my server config is correct or close to it. So what does "Server can't transmit all data; list of required mods might be incomplete" mean? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Since yesterday i'm unable to use game's launcher, it just crashes out of nowhere by hitting buttons like options or hovering the mouse on certain options or by just simply trying to save a preset, I'm able to launch the game but once and if i quit the game the launcher still crashes upon exiting (the game app). I have already verified game's cache. I have already deleted logs,presets and .nson and .json files from my AppData\Local\Arma 3 Launcher so it force it to create new ones. Still no luck.. Hi there any help would be amazing as I have had this trouble for a very long time I have tried everything, new hard drive, another computer, reinstalling the game but the issue is not getting resolved whenever I launch the launcher.exe file from either the game directory or steam itself i get this pop up: Screen-shot of error It also leave a dump file on my desktop and i believe it to be an issue with my public key token if you don't want to read through all the jargon but if I launch the Arma 3 only .exe and also the battleye .exe it launches and I can play multiplayer.   20. I've been playing on tanoa a lot lately and am wondering if there is a way to load tanoa on launch. The only options I see are altis, stratis, virtual, and empty. Really wish there was an option for it in the launcher.

Since the last update (or 2nd last), every time i start the game via the launcher (with battleye enabled) windows UAC pops up and wants admin rights for arma3battleye.exe this is definitely new and annoying since my guest pcs over here are all running without admin accounts i have to put in the password every time... every other battleye enabled game i know doesn't want admin rights... please fix it.
  22. So recently my arma 3 launcher has decided to crash constantly without warning. I start up the launcher and crashes anywhere between after 5 seconds of launch and 5 minutes. I also occasionally get a system out of memory exception which is extremely strange since I have 32GB of ram. Here are the steps I have done to try and fix the issue - Deleted the entire game and re-installed (Including the files in my documents and app data) - Verify integrity of game cache - Removed all anti-virus' - Ran steam as an administrator - Added" - Safe" to the launcher parameters - Restarted my pc about a 100 times Here is the arma 3 launcher exception Here are my system specs Any help with this matter would be really helpful. I have tried every last thing I can think of and have been searching for a fix for over 2 weeks. Arma 3 is my favorite game with over 3k hours of play time and it kills me not being able to play.   23. On one of my test servers I'm currently trialling a new mod call SM_Zombz which is on the Steam Workshop. The server is running Arma 3 will full DLC including Apex. The mods are Zombies and Demons, Exile and the new mod SM_Zombz. The server works fine, loads/uses all mods as it should and everything is working correctly in game but, the launcher shows the server as not requiring any mods. It also says no DLC is required. If you go with the suggested option of "Set Up Mods and Join" you obviously get kicked. In a 3rd party proprietary launcher everything shows as it should. All correct mods showing as required and you can launch into the server without any problem. So, I'm at a loss as to why the Arma 3 launcher isn't showing the required mods and dlc... The launch params are below. I have tried with mod name as just SM_Zombz and removed the "" wrapping the -mod= parameter but, that makes no difference. "-mod=@exile;@ryanzombies;@SM_Zombz v0.3.2.3;" The mission.sqm has the addons correctly as below: addons[] = {"exile_client","A3_Ui_F","RyanZombies","SM_Zombz","brdm2","uh1h"}; On most the other server owner discord channels I've asked on, the general response is that maybe it's taking it's time. I have been having an error ever since workshop modding came out where I cannot access any of my workshop mods at all, whether through the launcher or by moving them into the directory so I can control them manually. Steam frequently updates and downloads workshop content as necessary, but there is no way for me to use it and it is incredibly frustrating. For more info, I had my Arma directory located on my C: Drive but got a new HD and decided to port it to my E: as mod content was taking up so much space. I have re-installed numerous times, to no avail. Please let me know if I can fix this, or there is a steam issue.
