  1. Three AI helicopters will not land on the USS Freedom if I give them a waypoint to land on the deck. Each waypoint is to a different location on the flight deck, and each waypoint is in line with the flight deck. If I change the waypoints to a 'get out' waypoint, one helicopter will successfully land and the other two will nervously watch, then fly back to the nearest beach to land. There are planes and such on the deck, but more than enough space for multiple pilots to land. I realize that the AI is their own breed of unintelligence, but I am enthusing any options that simply get them to land on the carrier, like setting their fuel to 0 when the get close or something like that (for the record, I have not gotten this option to work).
  2. Hey guys, I've been playing a bit of the OPTRE mod, and I've talked with one of their devs about a way to attach a vehicle to a helicopter. I have a bit of experience in the 3D editor, and I'm familiar with everything up to more advanced scripting. The way it works is it attaches the MRAP vehicle to the underside of the helicopter, no ropes or anything. The line looks like this, with ___Name being the vehicle names: mrapName attachTo [heloName, ([(typeOf mrapName)] call OPTRE_fnc_PelicanAttachToPoints)] This works if you name the two vehicles, and activate the function, I've done a trigger and addAction, BUT, I want to find out how to run this WITHOUT having to name the vehicles before hand. I am guessing it would be some "find the ID of the MRAP, attachTo, find ID of helo" kinda thing. I would have to think normal sling loading has to do this to an extent, right? Find the closest vehicle, and attach the ropes...I just thought I'd ask if anyone knows where I could start looking for a way to do this. Thanks for any help -Envak
  3. http:// The Air Combat Command and 7th Special Forces Group are looking for mature helicopter pilots for co-op action. Focus will be on transport & logistic type missions and CSAR in the event of downed aircraft. CAS missions in attack helicopters may come further down the road provided we have the pilots to support missions of that nature, but for now strictly T&L / CSAR. Requirements as follows: - Legal copy of Arma 3 - TS3 with working mic set up for "push to talk" - Must not be afraid of mods - we host our own repository on Arma3Synch with around 30G worth of mods. - Skilled or trainable - Mature......I cannot stress this enough. There will be no no one under 18 accepted for flying, and there is absolutely a maturity limit. Training for pilots: - BCT, which is really a formal way of saying "we want to make sure you can survive on the ground, use ACE advanced medical, and won't frag anyone". - Basic flight TRA designed to see how you do, then tailor it to areas you need help in the most. Members have two weeks to complete both parts of Basic or will be dropped from our roster. Additionally, once basic flight has been wrapped up you will be working closely with me on more advanced type stuff in transports. There will be some copilot time, and once trained up we will be switching duties on and off, PAC (pilot at controls) one mission, PIC (Pilot In Command) the next.   4. Hello, So, I announced this add-on a few years back and quickly had to postpone it due to some employment related reasons. The issues that led me to postpone it originally are no longer a factor, I have started the project back up and have been working tirelessly on these models for the past few months. Here are some pic links... 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 I apologize for the hasty, low quality pics, I will try to make future preview pics higher resolution. *Pics have been updated to high resolution renders I have fashioned the model to be a representation of the systems upgrades that Bell-Textron introduced in 2012. I do not think that a model currently exists of this helo that represents this particular version. Here is how the model(s) are progressing... Geometry is about 95% complete. UV unwrapping is about 80% complete. Texturing is about 10% complete, so far the textures are just an ambient occlusion layer and color layer, with more detail in the instrument panel textures. Integration into ArmA 3 has not started yet but will as soon as all modeling and texturing is completed. So far I only have plans to create several versions of the Delta variant but would love to do the newer Foxtrot variant as well, we will see what happens. I am doing all of the work in Blender and Photoshop. I will post updates regularly as I reach certain milestones. Thanks for your feedback! - ADuke
