Does the underslung grenade launcher work ? If so what are controls to load/select/shoot please ? On Xbox

So the vanilla version of ArmA has persuaded units to throw grenades. However it seems like this is the preferred method of attack and their ability to use it is instantaneous. I am inside a building and I peek through a door to see an AI approaching me. He instantly snaps from holding a gun to throwing a grenade. If AI are to use grenades they need to be more realistic. If an AI wants to approach a player and snap off a grenade then he should look like he is holding a grenade. If he has a gun in his hand he should have to at least take time to get the grenade out and then throw it. Giving me an opportunity to shoot him. Is there any way of reducing the AIs' willingness to use grenades. Does anyone have experience with bCombat or ASR AI 3 in this respect? Thanks in advance. S

The mod reworks the smoke effects of various weapons and events. In the initial version this includes much bigger smoke clouds created by all types of smoke grenades. The main aspect is the improvement of the visual experience while not decreasing the performance compared to vanilla. In general this means that the amount of spawned particles remains unchanged. Features The following list presents all added/changed features: reworked effects of smoke grenades and smoke shells double the size more volume due to increased spreading blocks the sight of AI same particle amount than in vanilla (performant, particle limit is not reached faster) compatible with common mods like ACE small and compact, no overhead perfomant Troubleshooting The smoke effect does not look like in the video? If you use any mods, try again without (vanilla). If the problem still persists, locate the problematic mod. Ensure that SplendidSmoke is loaded after this mod, this should fix the issue. Hello, I am looking for a solution for spawning a flashbang effect, possibly on a marker, invisible helipad or possibly using any other way that works best and can be customized for future use. So far I was trying to spawn the grenade using the createVehicle command and getting a position of a marker. Two problems I have are: - Flash/stun grenades do not explode on spawn, they appear for a few seconds and then disappear entirely (I've checked smoke as well as frag grenades and those two do work fine) - The command spawns a literal grenade which can be seen physically, whereas I am looking for it to either explode on spawn (for the grenade itself not to be seen) or for it to trigger only the effect instead. The command is supposed to be a supplement to door breaching on action and is supposed to affect AI as well. I believe that the effects of the ACE M84 grenades do, so that would be the ideal solution. Thanks for any suggestions! Adam

Hi all, been lurking on the forums for a while now but this is my first request for help with triggers. I am trying to make a line that spawns a live grenade (preferably a 40mm he grenade) and drops it from a drone flying above. Basically replicating what groups are doing in the middle east with rec. drones, any help will be appreciated. I have tried "G_40mm_HE" createVehicle (getPos drone) (drone being the name of the object it's spawned to) I've used this in the past for other classnames used for explosions on the ground, but I think I'm having trouble with the grenade being 'live'. I have a problem with most grenades added in by mods like unsung,rhs,etc.the grenade itself appears in the game but i cant switch to it with cycle grenade nor can i throw any of it it as if the grenades are not register as a grenade at all.can anyone please help? Hello. I'm trying to make the grenades play a pin pulling sound when you throw them. This is what I have: But for some reason it doesn't seem to be playing. Can anyone spot something wrong here or help me out?

can anyone (ideally someone from BIS?) explain how the throw distance is managed in the engine / addons? we have about 15 grenade types in unsung mod with some pretty large blast radii, that worked great in arma 2, but with arma 3 the throw distance is about 25m, whereas in arma 2 you could chuck a grenade up to 50m, which is more realistic. 1. we currently face 2 choices - reduce our blast radius (and make the grenades unrealistic) or 2. increase the throw distance (and make the throw distance realistic) we would prefer to increase the throw distance in our weapon "throw" or in the mass of the grenade etc, but i have no idea where to start, despite looking through all of the base classes. Is the max throw distance of 15-30m hard-coded?
