How to create Geometry lod more fast & practical?
colddriven posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MODELLING - (O2)
Hello, I have more than 100+ models of buildings/apartments purchased from many 3D sites, in short, medium & large sizes. Can deal with their resolutions, roadways, memories, paths etc. all the time, there's no issue. However, it seems like a very laborious task to create geometry lods separately for each large building. Especially, if there are interior parts of the big 8-storey building for instance. Well, it isn't what I didn't do, I always made the buildings' geometry lod beforehand by combining the various quadrilaterals manually. These were the little houses. And then they didn't cause much trouble, they didn't take my time. - But in this, when the building is so large and it has many interior parts, applying the same old method can turn into a torture. You just cannot simply create a few geometry lod square and leave model alone thereafter. Worse, it will delay the releasing date of the building pack Would like to know if there is a more practical, faster way to create easily geometry lods for big static objects (with interiors) Many thanks -cdrv -
Hi all, I'm trying to develop this addon: https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/225321-max-crocodile/ I'm having problems with the Geo Lod, because, despite my efforts, my Giant Crocodile hasn't any collision with the others units.... that is my Geo LOD: Any suggestion or advice?

I have a problem with a plane model. Despite geometry LOD looking normal in Oxygen, in game I can walk through it as if it was made of thin air. Anybody had similiar problem?

Hello, I'm currently working on a object for our Arma 3 Unit. I'm really new in modeling objects, but everything worked so far. One thing I can't fix is the geometry LOD. I have a simple table (this is just for testing): https://gyazo.com/a97757e83ea5b4f36342c4ba2b773db4. How can I make a geometry LOD, when you still can crawl under the table but not walk through it? Is it just the same 3D model but then with a geometry LOD configuration? I hope can help me, thank you in advance.
