  2. I'm writing this message to developers for feedback and opinions, the vigor game is excellent such as the shelter and the upgrades you can do. Me and my friends have recently encountered a bug with the firing range that the number from the count down stays on your screen when you exit the gun range which means we have to reset the game. however the main issue is when crafting often the game crashes and displays communication error which is annoying an can cause other gamers to just come off the game and go play something that doesn't crash.. I like how weapons and crafting can take a little bit of time to gather which means you feel great when you kill someone who has a p90 or lots of materials you need. I know it takes long to achieve a great game however with this information maybe you can act on this and better the game.. I hope to see a better kill recognition because I'm confused sometimes weather I killed them or they are just prone, and the death box should glow up when you have killed them because I was running around for like half an hour trying to find it, in the snowy mountains.. I would also like to see fishing at the docks of the shelter and to actually see how the less fortunate benefit from the food we give .....
  3. Work in Progress (v0.8) What is CoopR? The abbreviation CoopR resolves into Coop Roleplay. These two keywords are leading the whole idea of this modification. CoopR Mod is a gameplay overhaul. Combining coop gameplay with interesting yet not immersion-killing roleplay game elements. CoopR will come in two different release systems. The first to be published is the CoopR Light coop gameplay enhancement. It can be described as a subset of features that passed quality assurance by bringing proper gameplay enhancements that do not have any dependency to other addons of the CoopR Mod ecosystem. The other release is the CMF (CoopR Mission Framework). This framework will provide a library of editor modules and scenario attributes to create multiplayer missions that redefine ArmA3 gameplay by a large package of new immersive features. Additionally the integration of popular modifications like ALiVE and ACE3 will push the feature list even further. The CMF will be officially implemented by CoopR and is planned to run on multiple game servers. The collection of those servers is defined under the CoopR Combat Theatre term. A “theatre” defines the lore multiple servers are running under. Technically players can transfer their characters and squads only between servers where the threatre is the same. There is no way of transfering a World War 2 threatre character into a NATO war theatre. CoopR Light CoopR Light’s primary goal is to extend the gameplay of coop multiplayer squads. It is a small subset of the whole CoopR mod idea. When the development of CoopR Mod started it was clear that this modification will take at least two years to implement all planned features. As time went by the amount of feature ideas grew and therefore the release date was pushed back further into the unknown future. To this date the CoopR team managed to develop a working base with a good amount of core features. We realized that there is a basic feature set ready to be released. We call this set the “CoopR Light” release. The reason to release this light version to the community is to start testing the early state of the modification. We expect to receive hands-on feedback and suggestions that help adjusting the development process. Reported bugs will be brought into the development of CoopR and fixed in future releases. The following conditions need to be met so an CoopR addon is a candidate to be released in the CoopR Light release: No dependencies to other Non-Light addons Adds striking enhancement of coop gameplay Will not require a wipe of any persistence data CoopR Mission Framework The CMF (CoopR Mission Framework) will provide a vast variety of editor placed modules, scenario attribute configurations mission configurations. The CMF will also offer a library of script functions to publish an API for other addons or mods. This is what the framework will bring to the customization point of view. With CMF you can build a completly new type of coop missions. One core feature is the RPG addon. It allows players to create characters with perks and role specifications. These characters are persisted and accessible between different mission created by the CMF. This bring another gameplay addition to coop missions - progress. Characters can increase their skills and “farm” their equipment. Incapacitation is not a trivial thing anymore. You can lose access to your character for a long time or even lose him completely due to permadeath situations. But the RPG system is not at all the only thing coming with the CMF. The bugs I’ve noticed when playing Vigor during the free to play weekend. - I noticed in the firing range when using the silver pigeon, the weapons animation is both bugged visually and the fact that the gun would show you reloading during the countdown and then you wouldn’t have any ammo in your weapon by the time it’s needed so you have to reload immediately when you start any of the challenges, also I’m not sure if it was intentional to make the scarecrows so far away in the challenge or I’m just not using the pigeon correctly. - Sometimes plates or bottles would be missing from a challenge and I’d have to restart my game to fix it. - While in a game was a generally smooth experience for what time I was given, I would say that the audio is a bit weird for sounds such as footsteps. When in a duo with my friend I can’t tell wether or not my friend and me are the ones I’m hearing or enemies because the footsteps would be delayed for about a second after we would stop moving. - Gunplay is ok, I didn’t necessarily have problems during my time in game but instead with the firing range mostly. - The shelter menu sometimes would bug to whenever I was in my equip menu, I would try to bring over one piece of ammo and I can’t see the ammo count unless I turned tabs and went back, having to go back and forth from tabs after every couple of taps. Also it sometimes sent the whole pile of ammo to my inventory and back when I had it on the 1x option. This is was my general experience of about 5 hours of gameplay during the weekend and this is also my first time posting something on a forum and I’m not very good at expressing myself.

  11. Hi all, I picked up the game this week on steam and already played some funny hours. But I am experiencing an worse Ping every day. I started at 35 ms on Launch Day(Steam), and now I am at barely 100 ms. And as you may know, the Ping is an important thing in FPS's.......... So I wanted to ask, if it just me, or if other People are experiencing the same. -ThunderZz

Ok so I came up with some solutions to make the DLC even greater 1) visibility bar DEDICATED to Air vehicles, which means you will be able to boost the air vehicles objects showing further away without compromising your fpses when in a plane 2) I would suggest a kind of script (for low specs computers) that allowes you to decrease significantly the details on the ground and focus at 100% on air targets/visibility which is necessary for flying..i don't know if this is possibile but the arma engine is being pretty editable so I hope there won't be any problems 3) I would suggest a realistic stall system, together with flutter effect, g-forces 4) one more thing...camera shake when shooting with a freaking 20mm air gun..that's...NECESSARY. 5) I also suggest a much cooler pilot helmet featured by NAVY Pilots on the actual F-18s https://goo.gl/images/AJFV2I

    Broken shooting

    I get that everyone is aware of how bad the shooting can get and I know it's early beta but PLEASE fix this broken shooting. Auto either just completely stops working if you stop firing. There's no real way to actual tell if your shots are connecting. I just landed 71 rounds into someone. Pretty close range and my gun just decides to go nuts and lags. Pretty sure the other guy was the same cause his shots never done alot. I know it's early but the fact that this game is purely for looting makes it hard to not absolutely rage when you get killed and all your loot lost. Especially due to the game lagging. Please fix cause I love this game and so wanna play more lmao

    So what is the basic mechanics of a match? Is it always 8 players or up to? If a player is killed can another join? Does the zone get smaller? How does it work?
  16. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DEV-A3 --- Dlegion's Enhanced Vanilla - Arma 3 --- adding the ARMA3 missing features ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- by DLEGION (email: ddelfino@hotmail.com) DOWNLOAD: https://mega.nz/#!TlYzBKYK!47utKrd9Fv7x59fn5ZHnBW3oGiFpPsxkshDoeiGyMcY (if someone want to put this on armaholic thats welcome) --EDIT---here is a video of the features: Vanilla (default) ARMA3 gameplay and gameworld interaction is way too limited, really unacceptable for today standard, especially for a game like ARMA3! each DLC (like jets) that comes out, i ask myself why,why and why they dont want to fix simple things like attach explosives to objects/vehicles, open inventory underwater (at least charges!!), manipulate game objects like move barrels, push a car ecc.....but obviously they dont intend to fix all this. here is why i searched for scripts that enhance vanilla gameplay, and merged them togheter fixing all the problems to have a single stable script base to enahance gameplay (so no mod needed, just join a server with this scripts and play!). it took me almost 1 year to discover all this awesome scripts and edit them to make they work togheter, i dont want any glory, just give back something to the community that helped me, and make life easier for other people in my situation, so in few minutes and not a year they will set-up theyr enhanced gameplay! its a collection of many scripts, made from different authors,all great people, that gived me permission to use theyr awesome work (and in many cases helped me editing). i made it so its Multiplayer, Join-In-Progress and respawn compatible, there is no noticeable FPS or any kind of performance drop (adding 1 infantry squad to the game has waaay more impact on performance). it adds many very basic features so much needed for any game of this kind. to name some of the most relevant: - logistic to EVERY game object, including man, allow move every object (can disable unwanted objects by a variable or class) - attach explosives to EVERY object (including man, unnamed map objects like trees, vehicles ecc...) and detonate only specific one. - drag & drop wounded, alive or corpses! - melee kill. - make AI (of your side) join your squad and command of it. - factory to build every object for a cost (can limit object types) and credit sytem. - dual (secondary) primary weapon, to carry two primary. - selectable grenades throw force, can pick-up and throw-back grenades. - selectable random civilian spawn with traffic in a range around player. - magazines repack. - random survivable helicopters and aircraft crashes - towing system to recover damaged vehicles or simply bring one more around. - many more little tweaks. as i saied it has no noticeable performance impact, every feature is selectable or can be removed (knowing how edit scripts), are just scripts,so everyone who will join your mission will found this ready and working without need of mods ! this lack of gameplay interactions was killing my game experience, i was about to drop ARMA for other games, but thanks to the help of some guys i was able to make this, and finally play happily! for helping a poor script-noob like me,and sahring theyr work, my best and sincere thanks to (in random order): Dolf,Sarogahtyp,Pierremgi,Kauppapekka, Nikander, BlacKnightBK, Lucullus, Xeno, Ilias48RUS,French R3F team and especially KillJoe, Serena, Fred41,Grumpy Old Man, Tankbuster, Larrow, Midnighters, Davidoss,Zorilya,Stealthstick...and everyone else that helped! i will not name them, but i wish to let you know that there is people that called me "troll", laughted at me and closed my post about fixing the game just for pointing out that ARMA, after 16 years of development, still lacks very basic features, and that developers should take care of this problem. afterall, thanks to the "good guys" that helped me (a lot), seems that was possible in simple way and few time to fix the basic features, with no noticeable performance impact at all. i still dream about devs giving one single day of theyr work to fix once for all the basic ARMA features...but seems that is just a dream. Island itself, and its towns, are dominated by GREEN faction by default, that uses A.I. bots to populate and defend critical locations. player can also play as GREEN, helping A.I. to defend islands from BLU and/or RED invasion. if you want you can play as civilian too, the island is populated by random civilian on foot and civilian traffic on roads, so you can easily get disguised as a A.I. bot. civilians have no specific mission, but they can disturb other factions plans :) technically you can play as spectator too, lol. other than primary targets (the randomly selected towns) there is always a randomly selected secondary mission (save hostages, destroy objective, stole vehicle ecc) and there is in the middle of the island a central airport with a factory, where you can build any kind of vehicle or structure for free, so its very important conquer it and hold it! to add some variation, 4 squads of RED and BLU start from the respective bases and move to the middle of the island, fighting enemys on theyr way, and trying to capture airport and near zones, and as they ger killed, they respawn at bases with same objective! (so you have to face random situations where there are enemys in random places of the island). CTS capture the suitcase mission very simple CTF style mission, RED and BLU team both have to take a suitcase, and bring it to extraction point. the interesting feature here is that this mission never ends, you just get credits to spend on your factory when your side win. and every round is different because it choose a random point from more than (hand placed) 50 spots, then randomly place all other objects like HQ,extraction points ecc...in a radius of +200 -200, this create so many possibilieties that every round is unique (your HQ or extraction can spawn on water too, for example, making for scuba fighting rounds). ========== E D I T =========== please, feel free to suggest other awesome gameplay scripts you wish to see implemented in this pack, i will do my best to merge them (if author gives permission)!

  18. Hello Guys, I want to ask you about some ideas and concepts for a new Arma 3 game mode. The focuses lies on a muliplayer gamemode, which ideally do not require a database (there is no problem if there's a need to but its easier without). This can range from 5v5 (project argo, rainbowsix, cod search and destroy) like mode to a big 64vs64 (bf conquest, tank/jet only) mode. It can also contain some mods or be a fully modded experience, but don't have to. Personally, I quite like the idea of crysis wars power struggle mode or something in that direction. Alternatively I like the idea of having a fully populated island you can travel around with ambient life and stuff, outposts you have to take and so on, like in the far cry series. But i have no clue how to include a multiplayer mode around that. Im quite experienced in scripting in arma as well as modding so there are no restrictions at all. What do you think people would enjoy playing in Arma?
