I am trying to make paradrop plane to fly a little bit higher, the feeling of flying Tu-95 (RHS) 100 m above head is surreal. Using the support module to drop a crate. _this flyInHeight 500 ; //plane is flying like kamikadze or _this flyInHeight [500,true]; //gives error

I know flyinheight has been covered a lot in this forum (and I already had difficulties with this command in OFP), but I just want to be sure. When you control a drone and use the right click feature for setting the height, you can tell the drone to fly at 20 meters. However, it doesn't. I then started using a dialog to adjust the height of the drone (hovering above one point) and everything greater than 29 meters works perfectly. But going below that doesn't, until you tell the drone to go down to five meters. It will do that but will then ignore all subsequent flyinheight commands. Is this just a bug? Does anyone know a way around that? ps. I cannot force the drone with velocity commands as the player may also instruct it to move somewhere else.

Precise chopper flyInHeight at low altitudes ?
Tajin posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
It seems that flyInHeight values below ~10 just send the chopper in a low hover without allowing fine control. Has anyone found a way around that? I'm considering to run a setvelocity loop to enforce the altitude but I'd prefer to use a cleaner solution than that. Background: I have a MH6 manned with Gendarmerie that I want to fly a search pattern at treetop level. The cops are sitting on the siderails with their guns/flashlights, looking for targets. I looks pretty nice at night but the effect is somewhat lost if they fly too high (or crash)- 5 replies
