  1. DESCRIPTION: In the first of a planned series of scenarios, take part in the first phase of the US 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit's campaign to liberate Sahrani. As a USMC aviator aboard the Khe Sanh LHD, provide support for Marine heli-borne infantry from the cockpit of your AV-8B Harrier II V/STOL aircraft. LINK: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=945008166 FLAVOR TEXT: After the fall of the Soviet Union and the global threat of Communism in the early 1990s, many former puppet states of the Kremlin found themselves without a supervisory global force to guide their development. For the small island nation of Sahrani, this has proven particularly troublesome. In 1993, the Communist government crumbled without Soviet economic and military support. It wasn’t until 2003, when the Sahrani government appealed to the Russian Federation for assistance, that the US began negotiations to provide aid to the island nation. Incensed, the pro-Russian majority in the Northern region of Sahrani attempted to overtake the South, where the seat of government resided. Despite a majority of the Sahrani Defense Force’s assets being stationed in the North, the attempted rebellion was quashed in short order by the US Army’s Rapid Reaction Force. Shortly thereafter, a UN Accord forced the US and Russia both to forgo further intervention in Sahrani’s affairs. In 2008, Russia violates the accords by sending first military equipment and advisors, and then Military Maritime Fleet infantry garrisons to the North. In an effort to dissuade further Russian involvement in Sahrani’s affairs, the UN passes a Resolution forbidding any further involvement with the Sahrani government or risk facing economic sanctions. Not long after these developments, a military junta seizes power from the legitimate government, and the capitol in the South is overrun and demolished by pro-Russian military hardliners. The newly christened Sahrani Liberation Army claims to be in control of Sahrani.   2. Hello Bohemia Community; I recently ran into a really confusing and frustrating issue with Arma 3 servers, and I'm hoping for some potential insight. What's happening is that, when I connect to certain servers, the game loads into a place devoid of objects, terrain details, and even my own 1st/3rd person character model; the only things that I can see are the grass and the terrain color/texture itself (I've attached some image links). I'm absolutely certain that these images are not in debug areas too. I've connected to a good variety of servers with the same sort of outcome. Here is a small list of servers I experienced this issue: Trailerpark Wasteland on Tanoa (A3 Wasteland Version 1.3B) BIB Wasteland (A3 Wasteland Version 1.3C) BFC Exile Esseker US #2 EXP Exile Chernarus EXP Exile Napf However, to make it more confusing, these results are rather inconsistent. For instance, I can load into an A3Armory (runs A3 Wasteland Version 1.3C) hosted server, and everything would load in fine: I see buildings, terrain details like rocks and underbrush, trees, etc., vehicles, weapons, and my character model. As potential fixes to this problem, I've tried: Reverifying my game cache of Arma 3 on Steam A clean reinstall of the game itself A clean reinstall of my game mods Isolating mods reported to have issues (a Steam forum page noted that the "CUP Terrain - Maps" mod specifically had this rendering issue - the forum suggested the "Auto Detect" button in the Arma 3 video settings, but that didn't work). I'm unsure of what else I could possibly do, and so now I turn to a community that knows much more than me, at least. I hope to hear back from those of you who could possibly help.     [COOP19]Breakthrough

    About mission: Breakthrough is a COOP mission best played with 8-19 players. This is 3rd mission in my Takistan missions series and surely not the last one! It's April 2017 in Takistan. We made huge progress past year in destroying ISIS and we hope to crush them by the end of the year. Campaign is a success for us, both in politics and war terms. We are getting more and more feared in other countries, our plan seems to work well. The one and only problem in our campaign is (as always) the USA. They started their operation in Takistan after our numerous successes. They want to rule global politics once again but we won't let them. We need to strike fast and gain control of majority of Takistan before they do. We still have initial advantage, let's not lose it. Mission description: Finally this day came. We are at the Jilavur military base on the frontline. Thanks to our specnaz units we can now assault the town with full force. Enemy dug in at the Feruz Abad town. They prepared two defense lines. We need to break through them. You need to split to two teams. One should head to north of the town and the other one with tank to south. DO NOT assault the defense lines alone. When you are ready call 0-0-1 for the friendly forces to attack from our base. We prepared armored vehicles to support you. Be aware that this will trigger all enemy units from town to defense their positions so expect heavy resistance. In the north there's enemy checkpoint north of the town. We also have information about enemy rocket artillery units in Falar city. Don't enter the town until you dealt with them or they'll toast you. Remember that you can always kill enemy artillery crew and use it to support our attack on the defense lines. After you deal with the artillery you can attack enemy HQ from the north together with south team. Ambush enemy tanks heading to first defense line and then support our attack at the second line and town. You've been supplied with a lot of Anti-tank weapons if your tank gets destroyed but try not to lose it. Try to eliminate their AA guns so our chopper can support you in every fight, it's guided rockets are deadly for both infantry and vehicles. Features: Vehicles and air support - Show your skill Replayability - Randomization Two teams layout - Two different set of tasks Freedom - It's up to you how to deal with most of objectives I tested this mission extensively with my friends and I can't find any bugs. Requirements: CUP RHS ACE3 (if you do not want to use it, just install it and disable all its functionality) Task Force Radio (if you do not want to use it, just install it and disable all its functionality) Known issues: - Crash when unconscious and trying to respawn THIS IS NOT MISSION BUG. I can't fix it. This is ARMA 3 or ACE3 bug. How to avoid problems: I did my best to ensure that mission will work as it should but here are some tips to make playthrough errorless: Please don't use Join-In-Progress. Start the mission only when all players are loaded in briefing screen. Don't use saves. Why so many mods?: There are just two big mods here (CUP,RHS) and small ACE,CBA, TFR so 5 mods in overall. Why there are so many mods in the list? There are minimods from ACE that ensures compatibility between RHS, CUP and ACE but they're very small. Not all mods may be mandatory. For example CUP CWA may not be needed same as RHS GREF and mission may work without them but for best experience I recommend to have them all anyway. SITREP: CENTCOM has assumed command of NATO Coalition forces deployed to deter Takistani aggression against neighboring Free Karzeghistan. Operation Guardian Edge is in effect. NATO forces have advanced into the Royal Caliphate of Takistan, and have inflicted significant casualties against regular army forces. The US Army 1st Cavalry Division faces serious resistance from the 5th Republican Tank Corps of the Takistani Republican Guard, threatening the momentum of the allied advance. Further mechanized reinforcements requested at the Forward Line of Troops. Hey there, everybody! I'm not exactly brand new to mission making, but I am fairly inexperienced. As a result, I would like to improve the quality of my missions and to do this I need criticism, comments, and advice.   8. A remake of the Operation Flashpoint campaign mission #13 "Pathfinder", using CUP USMC units. As a machine gunner, assault the village of Saint Marie and Chapoi. Take out the self-propelled anti-aircraft gun (SPAAG) systems (ZSU-23-4 "Shilka") so that air support can be brought in to deal with heavy armor guarding the towns. This mission was one of my favorites. It can be tough, but well worth it once you get to finish it successfully. You may have to try it a few times, your squad may make it to the end or you might end up being on your own. It plays out very much the same as the original OFP mission did which i'm very happy with. By the year 2035 DPC has over 100 members and is considered a private military. DPC’s goal is simple, you pay, we kill for you, no matter the faction. Dead on being guns for hire, like any business Ryejin made it professional. At the same time Ryejin wanted no big jobs, so for years to come, they could hide under the radar of the US and Russian governments. But with CSAT forces on the rise and more conflicts drawing to Tanoa, DPC was not just dealing with terrorists but Chinese as well! Death Packs headquarters is a private office building in Grourge Town, Tanoa. Death Pack history Founded in the year 2021 by Ryejin Yamato, it started out as any PMC would, hiring soldier's and gaining their trust to get the job done. It was rough for Ryejin for many years recruiting, but as Death Pack got popular, the recruitment got easier and more and more recruits were in the company. By the year 2030 Death Pack had enough members and money to be considered a threat to most terrorist groups and competition to other private military companies like ION and that makes enemies. By the year 2035 Death Pack had two new enemies they would always run into on a hired job, CSAT was the most common, since Death Pack head quarters is based in Debai, Iranian CSAT forces where on the rise in the region and even attacked Death Pack directly a few times. on July 14th, 2035 Iran CSAT forces attacked Death Pack HQ directly but thanks to quick thinking and good intel Death Pack wiped out the opposition and only lost 5 men. On February 7th, 2035 a new power came into play in the Tanoa, they called themselves, SWORD. The Strategic Worldwide Organized Regiment Department is a private military Corporation that is fully funded by the Chinese and works for CSAT. Intel suggests they been hiding in the shadows for years and when Death Pack became strong enough to become a threat to CSAT in the Pasific, SWORD came out of the shadows and began military operations against Death Pack. The two PMC's now sworn enemies have fought on several occasions in Iran each side taking heavy losses, each side also winning and losing. Though SWORD may have more military might, Death Pack has always been more brains than bronze. on February 20th, 2035, Ryejin got a call from a United States general giving them an offer they wouldn't refuse, the US general said he would fund them for the next 20 years if they were the wiped out SWORD. Ryejin accepted the offer and informed all his men. Death Pack today(2035) February 21, 2035, Ryejin seek out to old friends well hidden from public view and not only got more recruits and weapons and ammo but a information network that five hackers Ukraine set up were now hired by Ryejin to find any and all Intel they can against SWORD. it was officially time the push SWORD out of Tanoa! CUP mods are being added once again to our servers, and I suggest you get the latest versions of the mod files . USA can't simply stand aside and watch how Russia is being called 'Hero' in mass media because they're the only one to support Takistan's government in their fight. We will strike today to show everyone that USA is still monitoring the situation. Your main objective will be to kill the regional ISIS leader Abdul Ak-Sahrim who is hiding inside a big town in far east. Feels easy huh? Well it is not because enemy has a lot of outposts between our forces and their leader. Not even counting armored support. Their vehicles and weaponry are mostly outdated but still deadly, you should know that best. We need to regain respect on the world and when you succeed we will commence another operation, this time on a big scale. Don't dissapoint us son.   17. So, I recently purchased a dedicated Arma 3 server, the server is running on Linux, and runs vanilla Arma 3 without any problems. I decided to test out some mods, that I plan to use on the server, at first the mods would'n load correctly and I ended up changing the .pbo files in the addons folder for each mod to all lowercase names, this fixed the loading problems and the mods seemed to load. Once I joined the server I noticed that some of the vehicle from certain mods wouldn't show up in Zeus, missions with these vehicles in them wouldn't load either, the main mod in question is "CUP Vehicles" and "CUP Units". On the other hand i'm able to use modded weapons on the server and i'm able to place "CUP Terrain" Objects through Zeus. Server Log: http://pastebin.com/bdH4L24U

  19. Hello! I cooked up a simple little config mod that reduces haze on all of the vanilla, apex and CUP maps. This is more of a personal tweak as the default settings made me feel like there is a constant fog hanging in front of me. I only reduced the haze as removing it completely made the terrains look bad. The fog still works fine, the shorter view distances also look fine. The only known issue is the fact the sky gradient looks a bit off. By default only Stratis, Altis and VR are enabled. You can enable the reduced haze for other maps by moving/copying pbos from the "optional" folder. For interested, I changed "hazeBaseBeta0" setting in CfgWorlds for each of the maps. Hi guys, Short question, have tried on discord, but one of my terrain object I have imported from Terrain Processor using the area random module is reeds, or P_phragmites_summer from a2, using cup assets. They import just fine but are then substituted on export for random objects like signs or park benches. Sometimes they export fine but at some point they get degenerated and I have to clear the layer and reimport. Any idea what does this? What I want What TB thinks I want
  21. Hi All, I built this a while ago as a small mission for my group at the CPM. The boys liked it so I decided I would put it up as a template in case anyone wanted to use it. It is created entirely from BI or CUP assets and has a fair amount of CQB options. Our mission was to SDV to the rig at night and infiltrate. AI doesn't like it too much but it's brilliant for curated missions or roleplay (like we run at the CPM) or PVP. Features include: Multiple infil options by water leading to a small bottleneck at the top Offices and pump rooms, for adding your own story elements A usable helicopter pad (Ever tried making a landing pad float.... ?) Basically you'll keep respawning in a helicopter every 30 seconds then explode until the respawn is enabled. Currently if you kill the civilians (rebels), Citizen won't get mad at you. When playing in SP, an error will occur when you kill an OPFOR unit which is about to say a warcry - this DOESN'T affect the script or mission at all. Because units have disabled FSM, they take longer to react to combat. When clear the leader will stop and do nothing, continuing the mission allows the squad leader to continue. Thanks to...     mdhClassReplace.jar is a simple javaprogram to replace classes in all ext, sqs, sqf, sqm files in the folder and subfolders of the toollocation. Set classnames in the mdhClassReplace.cfg file. i wrote it to replace all the A2 classnames of my arma 2 missions with the CUP ones.
