    The Voodoo Missions

    The Voodoo Missions I'm starting to have a lot of missions spread across 3 campaigns, so in the interest of keeping them a little more centralized I'm creating a single page to store them and update with info. Voodoo Team is a band of ex-NATO Special Forces troopers. They started out as a regular front line unit during Operation Dardanelles in the Aegean Sea. After having seen what private mercenary groups like Ion Corp can do when left unchecked, they left NATO forces to create a Merc-Hunting team. Financed through unofficial and unaligned nations seeking a way to curb the rise in influence of non-state corporations such as Ion. Led by their Intel Officer know only as Highres, their first real test against Ion Corp was Operation Venture on the Tanoan Islands. They led a successful guerilla campaign against a large Ion Venture on the Island. The success of that operation brought in new recruits and new equipment. They are increasing the scope of their activities in the latest Operation Free Malden, where they are deploying heavy weaponry and air power for the first time. Campaigns (Ordered by most recent) All missions are Single Player or COOP Operation Free Malden Mission 1 : Hammer In order to Free Malden, we have to offload our new Infantry Fighting Vehicle. It's currently strapped to the deck of our trawler, which allows it to fire on targets on land. But to get it rolling, we need to capture a deep water port. La Riviere has one such port, and although it is well defended, we should be able to get in fast without alerting them too early. Strike fast with 3 teams, and capture the town and port! Workshop Link ========================= Operation Venture Mission 1 : Spider Spider has arrived on the south west island via speedboat. He's been driven to the nearby airfield where a deal with the local gang is being hammered out. Spider is meant to leave via that same speedboat, so our first task is to destroy it to prevent his escape. Ion does have air assets in the area, but it will take time for them to organize an airlift, so we will have time to reach the airfield, and kill Spider. One of our local contacts has left an RHIB near the airfield for our extraction and return to this safe house. Take note, the local gang is real nasty. They control the entire South West Island, and they'll shoot any (especially armed) strangers on sight. We can try and do this all stealth like, but I don't think we're getting out of this one without a few firefights. Workshop Link Mission 2 : Contacts Our Intel Officer HighRes is out meeting a contact. The rest of the team is resting at our beach safehouse. What could go wrong? Workshop Link Mission 3 : Requisition As you know, since our safehouse was destroyed last week, we are desperately low on hardware. Luckily, Ion Corp has tons of weapons and gear on the island just ripe for requisitioning. And they're not being very discreet about it. We know they are bringing in large weapon shipments through the Blue Pearl Industrial Port, which they have conveniently offered to guard for the local government in exchange for guns and bribes. These bribes keep the local government out, which is good for us because we don't have to worry about shooting local police while we aggressively requisition some new gear for our purposes. The downside is that the port is crawling with armed Ion thugs. We will have to steal a Weapons Truck from the Port, and bring it to our new Safehouse. Workshop Link Mission 4 : Intelligence Our raid on the Blue Pearl Port really helped us get back on our feet. We've got weapons and gear, and I've been able to re-establish SatCom. The downside however, is that Ion has used our attack on the port as a pretext to take over pretty much all of Tanoa security. They are now in most towns and cities with more agents arriving daily. I'm starting to think controlling the entire Island was the Ion Objective from the start. In any case our mission is still the same. Find and disrupt all Ion operations on Tanoa. More specifically we need to find out where the Regional Director is operating from. To that end we need additional Intel. Workshop Link Mission 5 : Centerpiece Our Intel raid has paid off. We've discovered that ION is not actually looking to control Tanoa outright, they just wanted an excuse to build up major military infrastructure on the Islands, and then sell the resulting installations to CSAT for a huge profit. The Centrepiece of their venture is the Island of Tuvanaka. They've been restoring and rebuilding various facilities on the island, and it will be offered to CSAT as a complete pre-packaged base of operations for the entire Area, with pre-packaged subdued local government to boot. If we can sufficiently degrade and destroy Ion military installations on Tuvanaka, we can make their Venture near worthless. Workshop Link Mission 6 : Power We managed to cripple ION's Venture on Tanoa. ION Personel have started to depart the Islands, but the Director is still at large. Communication Intercepts indicate he's based at a Villa near Georgetown. He has an armed guard, and the Villa is ringed by powerful floodlights. We will cut the power to his villa by blowing a power line, then storm the building, find the Director and take him out. Workshop Link Mission 7 : Departures Since we almost got you killed last time, Highres assures us that today's intel is top notch. Seems the Director was pretty convinced we had been killed at the Villa, and showed his face in public. He was followed to an Ion HQ building in LaRochelle. Intel also says that he's about to get the hell out of Tanoa. This is our last chance to get him. Workshop Link =========================== Operation Dardanelles Mission 1 : Preperation Take out an enemy Recon Helo so it can't be used to spot our invasion force. Workshop Link Mission 2 : Invasion! Hit multiple beaches and clear out enemy forces from the Southern tip of the Island. Workshop Link Mission 3 : Consolidation Consolidate our foothold on the island by capturing the radar station Mike. Expect a massive counter attack. Workshop Link Mission 4 : Sabotage! The frontline has stabilized, go behind enemy lines to sabotage an arms dump. Get out quick though! Workshop Link Mission 5 : Knockdown A major concentrated assault should break through the lines. Take the lead assault team deep into enemy territory to take out its HQ. Workshop Link Mission 6 : Rout! The enemy is in full Rout. Lead a sniper team and distraction team to the airfield. Lure the General out of his hiding spot and take him out. Workshop Link
  2. Currently, it seems that Combat Patrol doesn't reward the player after the completion of missions. Will this be changed? If not, what's the reasoning for it? I'd much rather play this game co-op to level up and get weapons necessary for performing well in pvp maps. This reduces the pressure and frustration from being a new player and helps to get them acclimated to how to play the game without ruining pvp matches due to a large skill gap.

The 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division - How Company Introduction: We are the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) we are a semi-serious milsim unit that plays with a variety of mods in conjunction with the World War Two setting. Within the unit we have key structure and organization that mirrors that of the real U.S Army Airborne during the fourtys time period. Our key priority in this group is to bring players together with a similar interest and have fun in a structured setting to allow organized play. We have recently opened our doors just a week ago and are already growing quickly leading to us expanding further!   4. Players must quickly assault a Syndikat held town as they search for a stolen file that has troop movements for the area. Using the cover of night, silenced weapons, and night vision players will have to get the drop on the bandits, if they allow themselves to get bogged down the superior numbers will overwhelm them. Ambushes and roadside bombs are common tactics of Syndikat.   5. SmallMilitaryEncounter Generator A dynamic mission for ARMA3 that generates small military encounters. The intent of the mission is to have something similiar to an Domination / Invade & Annex type COOP missions, but in a smaler and more infantry focused scope. And have a mission that is easily customize able, at least in my opinion. Most things you may want to change can be found in the files under config/. Also the mission is build from scratch and not a derivative of some other mission existing. I hope that most of the stuff works quite stable, but the mission didn't have very much "stress-testing" or balancing. This is also a reason why I relase it here, gather some feedback/criticism. Vehicles for completing a set of missions: mobile HQ / mobile respawn armed light APC armed light helicopter After completing two mission one vehicle will be spawned, starting with the MHQ. If one vehichle gets destoryed it will be respawned instead of spawning the next tiers vehicle. There won't be multiple iterations of the same vehicle. The reward vehicles can be found outside the base in the hangars. Also vehicles can be reapired in a service station in the main base. Vanilla Systems The missions uses various vanilla systems: BIS tasks BIS dynamic groups BIS virtual arsenal BIS respawn menu Time Acceleration: the time is accelerated: 4h IRL = 24h in game. If you want to change this, there is a module placed in the mission. Additional Scrips And the mission uses some other scripts: T8-Units Script FAR Revive (but in my own 'flavour' with some of the later sqf improvments) download data script (a bit updated version of my script) Singleplayer I use the singleplayer mostly for debugging. There are also some keys preset to help with porting the mission to a new map.   6. "Stop the convoy heading to the airport, and clear out the enemy desert base." This is a faithful recreation of Desert Ambush, the highly popular cooperative mission that featured in the original Operation Flashpoint (ArmA: Cold War Assault). Every element has been carefully recreated: the same number of soldiers, vehicles and similar-ish weapons. A lot has changed between Operation Flashpoint of 2001 and the latest version of ArmA 3, therefore there is the option of a virtual ammo drop and the option to enable revives (mission parameters). The default setup is very hardcore, just like the original. AI difficulty is dependent upon the host's settings. This mission requires RHS (AFRF, USAF, GREF and SAF). BACKGROUND S Squadron is a multinational ArmA 3 unit that emulates a real world 22 Special Air Service Squadron, offering the opportunity to operate and train as a member of the UKSF, implementing undisclosed tactics, techniques, procedures, as well as modern equipment and vehicles. S Squadron was founded by a group of like-minded individuals with years of experience within various milsim and realism units, across different games and platforms. This provides members with an enjoyable team atmosphere and exciting and unique gameplay features, making all training, operations, organisation, equipment and vehicles are as close to the real life counterpart as possible. ABOUT S Squadron is an ArmA 3 multiplayer group which takes pride in its level of immersion and professionalism as well as maintaining the important balance between realism, gameplay and fun. Operations are conducted using multiple methods of insertion including high altitude parachute drops, undercover infiltration, covert underwater insertion, air assault and vehicular insertion utilising heavy weapons platforms. Our exclusive insight allows for a high level of immersion and realism in our training programs as well as during operations.   10. I've recently been working on a mission that will involve a little player on player deception, but I'm struggle with a way to balance it that will be fun for everyone in the mission. First a little setting of the scene so everyone gets an Idea what I'm going for. The island of Stratis is a militarized location for the AFF and also a site of a Biochemical testing facility. An EMP on the island takes out communication with the mainland. Assuming the worst a HAZMAT special operations team is sent in along with a NATO overseer to find out what happened. Unknown to the players at the start of the mission the research division was secretly looking into interdementional rifts and caused a demonic incursion on the island that wiped out most of the inhabitants. (Demons wont appear until later in the mission and be specific encounters, the mission is designed to be more suspenseful than just waves of zombies. I highly recommend leutin09's 'helvan indecent' videos to see the kind of atmosphere i'm going for). A large storm/unknown disturbances are making communication difficult at long ranges with basic radios, meaning the team will have to meet their insertion chopper at a defined location and wont be able to radio the rest of the squadron circling the island. This is the basic setup/story for the mission. The twist however is that the NATO 'overseer' is an agent for the faction preforming the dementional tests. That player will have separate briefing tabs only they can see describing their mission. Their task is also to find out what happened, but to retrieve the results of the testing and leave the team they deployed with stranded on the island. My issue is finding a fun way to balance the experience for both parties. Being the overseer and just trapping the hazmat troops in a room and blowing them up with a charge or shooting everyone in the back would be pretty dam easy, that would be boring and cheap and not lead to the experience I want to deliver. While the overseer is a high rank he is not in charge of the mission, that duty falling to the primary player leading hazmat team 1 (there are 2 teams of 3 + the overseer, obviously a better experience with more people). So while they will be working together, the overseer cant simply order the team to 'wait here' or 'stay put while i steal your vehicles'. But likewise the hazmat leader cannot order the overseer around with authority (mission meant to be role played at least somewhat, going to recommend task force radio in description for best experience). At some point the deception will be revealed and at first i think people will be like 'dude wtf are you doing' they'll catch onto the story component and go with it. I was thinking was that the overseer has a kill-switch to disable one of the jeeps the force starts with and escape in the other to another area where they have more to investigate, leaving the hazmat team with no fast transportation. The difficulty is making so that the hazmat men and overseer have encounters which will be hard to balance and time. I think his jeep should get wrecked/break at some point when he's equally close to a common objective with the hazmat team, forcing an encounter. I was thinking that during the players first encounter with demons over the radio the players hear the extraction heli team getting attacked by 'something' and then cutting to static. After (or during) the demon attack the overseer could abandon them for a secondary objective of his. During this his truck could be ruined, forcing him to move at a similar pace as the hazmat team, both gunning to the extraction site. Upon arrival they would discover the bodies of the team and find the chopper crashed and ruined nearby. Unable to contact the rest of the platoon circling the island, they would try try to reach the radio station to transmit a stronger signal. It either wouldn't work or they would contact the heli squadron (barely) and decide on an extraction point. The overseer, being nearby watching the team from a distance, would reveal himself and tell the team that he discovered the device is going to go off again and release another EMP, which would bring down the extraction choppers and their only way off the island. Despite the obvious mistrust, the overseer would be the only one able to disable the device but isnt able to reach it on his own (maybe its to heavily guarded by demons or something), and also needs to get on the extraction choppers, which are part of the hazmat team, who he has already betrayed at this point. From here there is a tense 'alliance' with the hazmat team keeping a close eye on the overseer. He would have to both work with the team and find a way to leave them at the last possible moment. I think an EMP should bring down the backup helos but one is still usable. The hazmat team should have reason to keep the overseer around (bring back for debrief and questioning) but he is all the while plotting his escape and a way to leave them stranded on the island. I think if executed right this would be a very fun and unique mission to play but I need suggestions to refine my rough idea of what I want to make it flow. I know certain 'scenes' I want to take place but linking them together in a way that makes sense and flows will be tough. -Initial deployment and looking for clues -Overseer's initial betrayal and leaving the hazmat team -overseer/hazmat teams separated with separate tasks (overseer would probably loose vehicle during this) -both sides converging on extraction site, find helo ruined -using radio tower to contact rest of helicopter squadron -overseer comes back in contact with hazmat team, both sides enemies but need to work together -overseer and hazmat team working together (tense alliance out of necessity) -heli backup goes down, one salvageable -attempt to repair?/find?/defend? final helo to escape island with overseer making final play to abandon hazmat troops/hazmat troops attempt to stop If your still with me thanks for reading this far!   11. Hey guys ive had arma for a while but i never really did any research on how to use the server list, i kinda just left out all filters so i can see every server. I recently just played in a coop game mode (it only had 3 other people on blufor) and I was able to play as opfor. Im just wondering what can i do to find more specific game modes where its coop and you can also play on opfor. Most coop game modes i come across only let you play bluefor which I think is shitty. I know you can play in sandbox mode but that also has independent players and Im trying to find strictly a coop mode where its bluefor vs opfor and you can play on the enemy team as well. Thanks!

    About mission: Breakthrough is a COOP mission best played with 8-19 players. This is 3rd mission in my Takistan missions series and surely not the last one! It's April 2017 in Takistan. We made huge progress past year in destroying ISIS and we hope to crush them by the end of the year. Campaign is a success for us, both in politics and war terms. We are getting more and more feared in other countries, our plan seems to work well. The one and only problem in our campaign is (as always) the USA. They started their operation in Takistan after our numerous successes. They want to rule global politics once again but we won't let them. We need to strike fast and gain control of majority of Takistan before they do. We still have initial advantage, let's not lose it. Mission description: Finally this day came. We are at the Jilavur military base on the frontline. Thanks to our specnaz units we can now assault the town with full force. Enemy dug in at the Feruz Abad town. They prepared two defense lines. We need to break through them. You need to split to two teams. One should head to north of the town and the other one with tank to south. DO NOT assault the defense lines alone. When you are ready call 0-0-1 for the friendly forces to attack from our base. We prepared armored vehicles to support you. Be aware that this will trigger all enemy units from town to defense their positions so expect heavy resistance. In the north there's enemy checkpoint north of the town. We also have information about enemy rocket artillery units in Falar city. Don't enter the town until you dealt with them or they'll toast you. Remember that you can always kill enemy artillery crew and use it to support our attack on the defense lines. After you deal with the artillery you can attack enemy HQ from the north together with south team. Ambush enemy tanks heading to first defense line and then support our attack at the second line and town. You've been supplied with a lot of Anti-tank weapons if your tank gets destroyed but try not to lose it. Try to eliminate their AA guns so our chopper can support you in every fight, it's guided rockets are deadly for both infantry and vehicles. Features: Vehicles and air support - Show your skill Replayability - Randomization Two teams layout - Two different set of tasks Freedom - It's up to you how to deal with most of objectives I tested this mission extensively with my friends and I can't find any bugs. For example CUP CWA may not be needed same as RHS GREF and mission may work without them but for best experience I recommend to have them all anyway.     Teleport to players!

    It is a convoy mission, and the players are allowed to use whatever path they want. This makes me often loose them. But here is the issue. I want to be able to teleport to players as Zeus, but stuff placed in editor cannot be edited by Zeus. Is there a way to spawn PLAYABLE units in-game, so that i can just use them like normal ones? Or is there a way to go around the issue, for example by using some kind of a script?

  22. Hi. This is my first post, i usually try to search first, but i have found nothing to help me about my problem. I have a Hostage script that i found here in the forum. Hostage script by DrCox1911 , It works well, but on to my problem. When i start the mission on a dedicated server, my player character starts in the same position as the hostage and begin to untie him. It only happens when i play on a dedicated server, if i start a server from my game, it plays fine. What do you need to see, to begin to help me ?
