  1. Description and dynamics of the mission This mission represents the French strengths in a real or fictitious conflict against an insurection. The primary purpose of the mission is maintaining of the peace, thus to patrol, secure roads, neutralize ammunition cache and to have a dissuasive effect, it does not necessarily mean that the fight will be absent. The insurgents will try to join localities to convert the civilians, and slow down you with IED and ambushes. When the insurgents will have succeeded, the zone in question has to reach a locality will become very dangerous. (There is 5 slots additional to intend for the players rebelled to pepper one can the mission). When a locality is captured your dissuasive effect decreases, thus it will be necessary to intervene as fast as possible while remaining careful. (Really needs to be bad or to make anything (or you really have no chance), success bad). -the insurgents fall has 0 ticket, successful mission: strong efficiency. (Really needs to be effective, difficult success) -The conflict gets stuck in the mud and nobody reaches has to dominate the region: mission which never ends. (Average success) HQ It is here where the peacekeeper start their journey, list of the supports available on the HQ: -arsenal -order of all the vehicles (light, armoured, aerials, support) -Recruitment of IA -resting zone (cross 6 hours) -scrap area, you can scrap the insurgent vehicle for extra ticket. -hospital (care in the max) -Support of land vehicle (gasoline, repair, ammunitions). -Support of the air vehicles (gasoline, repair, ammunitions) and especially pylons customizable. -3 box FOB which are also places of respawn, you can build fortifications, static weapons, arsenal, and light vehicle. The HQ can be attacked (players or IA) if insurgents approaches too closely a defense system will be automatically set up, this plan is not invincible thus be going to need that the players participate has the defense of the HQ. Note : the support vehicle are the just for the RP, it will not be possible to make of the maintenance on the ground it will necessarily be necessary to return vehicles at the HQ. Secondary Task Military convoy : It is necessary to deliver support truck has a precise point, the peacekeeper have to obtain vehicles has their expenses (truck of ammunition, fuel, repair) and will once be paid off arrived has destination.   5. Hey there, Der Server a small community of friends are looking to expand our current roster of eight. We come from around the globe EU, US, and CN. With this being said our missions run around a time to suit a majority. We are a mature group but also all get along really well and can have some good banter. The community plays with an relaxed approach towards playing “realism missions” and being part of the “realism community”. We don’t expect you to call higher ranking members sir, ma’am, do rigorous training courses, or know everything out of a tactical handbook. Instead we use the available mods to develop missions which would be played in a fun manner whilst also trying to tactically play out the mission. Each week the mission changes unless it’s a campaign so there’s never any set faction or playstyle we would be playing for weeks on end it helps to keep things fresh! TL:DR: if you like to play realism missions but don’t want to have to go through the hassle of training etc with a community then this is the place for you! There are some slight rules that what we adhere to and would like future members to adhere to:- -Speak fluent English with a working microphone and headset -17 years + -Ability to follow orders from others (in-game command structure system) -Be respectful and mindful of others We have recently made a switch to discord to arrange missions and will be used as a hub for the community ongoing however we still use teamspeak for voice comms.   6. Dearest Arma 3 community, I don’t know if this is the right place for it, I hope so and I'm sorry if not. A friend of mine and I had some major issues running Arma 3 with Hamachi to play some missions. Problem description: If we try to run Arma 3 over Hamachi, which worked just fine in the past, we can't join each other. He can see my server but if he's trying to connect to it, it just keeps connecting until he gets a time out or he disconnects immediately after he joined. Sometimes he’s able to connect but doesn’t have a menu. So, I manually assign him and start the game, my game starts completely normal but his game takes ages to load and if it's loaded he's suddenly in the water of Tanoa, no matter which map we are actually playing. This error occurs since a few weeks, the last time it actually worked was two weeks ago since then we couldn't get it running again. What we already did: • Checking for corrupted files in Arma 3 • Reinstalled Arma 3 • Reinstalled Hamachi • Both several times. • Deactivated our firewalls • Deactivated our Antivirus programs We also did this because we thought it might be Hamachi: http://help.logmein.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/Resolving-Hamachi-Request-Timed-Out Resolving Hamachi "Request Timed Out" for Windows Firewall Also, we deleted every workshop mod we had except for the map we wanted to pay, which was a BCTI mission in Altis. Before the issue occurred, the mission worked fine. We also tried playing the standard apex protocol missions. However, the same Issue occurred. We also checked if it's a problem with the IPv4 but there's no problem. I just wanted to note: Everything works just fine when we were playing Arma 2. Our PC's His: Win 10 (1803) intel i5 8600k Nvida gtx 1070 8GB 16 GB DDR4 Ram Internet connection 150 Mbits/s Mine: Win 10 (1803) intel i7 7700 Nvidia gtx 1060 6GB 16 GB DDR4 Internet connection 400 Mbits/s We couldn't find anyone with the same problem, so we thought we ask right here at the source. If someone recommend to change the ports of my router - I won’t do that. Why? Because I think it should be possibly to play games in coop without changing gaming ports which works just fine for every other game. So, I hope you guys have a fix for this problem.     [CTI-COOP] Dissension

    Dissension Alpha V0.1 Pre-Release What is Dissension? Dissension is a grand CTI with a focus on resource collecting, character leveling, base constructing, and out thinking the enemy. Dissension offers a unique experience when it comes to capture-the-island missions by challenging the players with AI commanders that try to outsmart you at every turn. AI commanders are assigned random personalities and traits that heavily influence the course of battle Players are just another tool that the AI commanders have in their arsenal. Players can choose to follow the orders given by their commander, assault territory, do supply runs, fortify positions, destroy enemy supply lines, or anything else they desire. The ultimate goal is destruction of the enemy commander. This thread is currently to serve as a way to communicate and collaborate with the community for creative ideas to improve Dissension before its first release. Below are features that are currently implemented, followed by features that are planned before first release. Hey everyone! I apologize for the silence, been working non-stop (I have 6 days off in a row coming up next week :D ) I have had time to work on Dissension and fix many, many, many bugs and problems that were reported. Such a complex and far-reaching mission is bound to be full of issues and bugs. Fortunately, a significant chunk of them have been squashed and dealt with. Although, I am sure some of the reported bugs remain, there is just so much to do :> So I want to push out another improved version. I have added a few extra features but it mostly focuses on bug fixing and smoothing out. Simply naming AI squads makes players more likely to support them/care about their progress. Keeping a squad alive longer could also have benefits in the future. In addition, letting players name their squads (and displaying their squad on the map), lets other players know where each group is and what they are doing. Making it easier to decide what group to join. The goal is to make players WANT to be in the same group and work together. CHANGELOG NEW: AI Groups are now assigned group names. These groups are persistent throughout the game, and maintain their group knowledge through respawn. NEW: Player groups are now displayed on the map. Players can now press U to make/join other groups. Players can name their group and invite others in. This will allow freshly joined players to see what each group is doing and join/ask to join that group instead of going in alone. NEW: Squad vs Squad report system. Players are now informed of which nearby squads are fighting (EX: “EAGLE is engaging PASTA”. This allows players to build rivalries or spread fear into opposing player groups. When your squad is engaged by an enemy squad a more obvious message is displayed on screen (EX: PASTA vs RAWRZOR). The color of the message dictates the enemy squad’s side. NEW: Nearby players all receive cash for one another’s kills. This will encourage players to group up and work together. NEW: All players in vehicles are now rewarded with cash for kills. NEW: POI’s (Points of Interest) are now capturable. POI’s are map specific locations (EX: COCOA PLANTATIONS, LUMBERMILL, SMALL PIER, RUINS, etc). These POI’s calculate their provided resources by what the POI includes inside its borders. NEW: Opfor Commander is fully implemented! NEW: Side specific markers. West/East can no longer see ANY of the territory owned by the other side. The only exception to this rule is when either side takes a territory owned by the other. NEW: Supply points will now spawn Aircraft that will attempt to retrieve supplies from supply points. However, AI piloting still seems very sketchy, so there is a good chance these will be replaced with Infantry squads that “carry” the supplies from point A to point B. Not happy about the frustration with AI doing supply runs… The other option would be forcing the players to deliver full supply points. NEW: Private Military Contractor Militia units are now uniquely kitted out. Works for Vanilla or RHS. NEW: Parameter for selecting wanted mod. Supported modes are Vanilla, RHS, and Iron Front NEW: Resistance towns now have the chance to spawn light vehicles. CHANGE: When playing with Iron Front, ARSENAL will only let you take weapons/most equipment from that ERA. (No A3 or RHS weapons when playing with Iron Front). CHANGE: Boat transports now completely cache the group and virtualize the transportation. If the boat is destroyed while transporting the squad, the whole squad is killed. This was done to support mixed AI groups with several vehicles and AI on foot. CHANGE: Supply points are currently using helicopters instead of trucks. The AI are not smart when it comes to picking up supplies…. This might be changed later to the commander requesting players to pick up the supplies and bring them back. FIX: Many, many, many RPT spamming bugs FIX: Many of the missions now respect the currently selected mod. FIX: Iron Front forces forced to appropriate sides when spawning in….Americans are Blufor. Germans are Opfor. Russians are Resistance. FIX: Vehicles are appropriately filtered when playing with Iron Front. FIX: Capturing certain locations did not work properly. FIX: Re-wrote part of the defense spawning for AI. They groups are now larger. FIX: Arsenal bugs out on Dedicated Server FIX: Joining in Dedicated environment would break the game :< FIX: JIP for the server is now working. The only exception seems to a few markers not populating correctly. KNOWN BUGS -When playing on a dedicated server from the very beginning, it may take a while to be moved to the correct position at the commander. This is due to the server still marking all the appropriate locations and spawning in the appropriate units. For now, the players can either wait for the Barracks to be created before spawning in, or simply waiting at spawn to be correctly teleported. -Still, sometimes the UI will randomly disappear.   8. Hi. I am making a coop mission where 30+ players are acting as civpop that have decided to become rebels. I am looking for simple ways to make the occupation AI act as if it's never sure of whether a player is legit civilian or whether it's something one should engage. So I'm thinking a lot of different conditions that cycle the BLUFOR player through setCaptive true and false. Does anyone have good ideas, or know of others who've tried? I tried a fair bit of searching, but my wording didn't return any good results. Here are some ways I'm going to try to go about it. Help is much appreciated. 1) Crowds can be treated as hostile. In real life some occupation forces disband the freedom of assembly and impose crowd limitations during curfew etc. I'm thinking of each player running a script that checks how close they are to others. If the script finds 3+ players (or AI civs) within a radius of X meters, they get flipped to setCaptive false. If there's civpop AI, those could conceivably be grouped silently with Resistance. For even more complexity, the script could avoid counting players/AI inside buildings. >>> How would I check whether players are inside buildings? 2) Anyone armed is hostile. The script checks for whether they are openly carrying a rifle/pistol, or are carrying a launcher of any kind. >>> How would I script the difference between a pistol in a backpack not being seen, as opposed to a holstered/backslung rifle being seen? 3) Anyone who ends up setCaptive false must then be un-detected by OPFOR before they can be flipped back to civilian. Not sure how to go about this. >>> Should I maybe check whether any units belonging to side==east have a knowsabout higher than 1 or 2? 4) Anyone running or sprinting while AI is within a certain radius. >>> Are there any isRunning commands that I could check?

  13. Hello there, I'm running a Public Server, one thats generally more fun oriented than milsim . With that said I'm open to ideas for things people would like to play. Me and my old timer buddies prefer more of a PvP element, although Coops are also a nice change in pace. So for example, if I put up a series of Star Wars PvP maps where teams take areas to bleed the other teams respawns, would anyone be interested in that? Or a full time PvP with Iron Front server with Coop Mission Nights ? Lampreys and Zombies? Even a Submarine naval themed server could be possible. Anything that could be outside the norm but is still wanted by the community. I would like to gauge the current state of the playerbase before I begin making more maps. If people would prefer just CUP I have some TDMs all ready to go. I'm just not sure i I want to go in the direction of Arma Life or Exile; although it seems those are the most demanded/ populated servers. Any other ideas are welcome. Pick one of five available transport helicopters at Khe Sanh Combat Base and complete five missions. Players can either choose to man a single helicopter or fly a helicopter each or use one of the combat helicopters or planes at the main Khe Sanh Combat Base runway. For example, one player may fly a transport chopper, while another player can fly a gunship for fire support in case of a hot LZ. There is however only light enemy opposition present in the area currently. There are three places setup to deliver fuel, repairs and new crew members. The re-fueling occurs automatically when landing or hovering besides the fuel barrels close to the start area. Repairs and healthy crew members are acquired by landing at the repair/medics marker respectively, staying in the vehicle and using the radio 0-0-1 for repair and 0-0-2 for healthy new crew members. The player himself is not healed though. There's a simple respawn system in the mission, a player will be respawned at the starting area and is able to get new missions from the commander. A destroyed transport helicopter is respawned at the starting area as well. A crash landed damaged but not destroyed helicopter has to be destroyed by other means: Use an available gunship from the main base for this purpose. The mission makes use of a headless client to spawn most AI units there. If possible please use one, as it significantly reduces stress on the server. However the mission will also run with low fps on a hosted system. Best experience will be had on a dedicated server with a headless client (HC), see https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Headless_Client for setting up a HC. As this is about my first published multiplayer mission, please cut some slack for bugs and omissions. KNOWN ISSUES Sometimes the AI at hill 950 only reluctantly boards the helicopter. Often it is good enough to lift off and land the helicopter a few meter from the landing pad. Most times stuck straggler AI will board then. The AI does not like to walk on the landing pad, it will walk through it. Currently the mission will be nearly unplayable during the night.

It has been almost 2 years since Russia sent a squad to search for scientists. Chernarus is completely isolated from the outside world. There is almost no electricity left. The border of Chernarus is guarded by the best russian soldiers. However, some stalkers found a secret path to the territory of Chernarus. A squad called "Walkers" entered the territory of Chernarus a couple of days ago to find valuable items. One of them (Artem) was bitten by an infected. After a couple of hours, he felt sick. He had to leave the squad. A couple of days later he contacted us. Symptoms of the disease disappeared. Everyone realized that he is an antidote. Artem left the squad near Polana. After he contacted us, he said he was in Solnichniy and was heading to Tulga. After that, the connection was lost. Perhaps he is still there. Our squad of stalkers detected demons who were going to Tulga. It is necessary to distract them from there and save Artem. Currently the squad is in the hideout near the village "Kamyshovo". 30 minutes ago, electricity disappeared almost everywhere... ABOUT THE SERVER Our public Insurgency server is a Dedicated Server built to run fun ArmA 2 style Insurgency ACE & ACRE missions, but with ArmA 3 with updated and modern versions of addons such as ACE and Task Force Radio. For those who played ACE and ACRE Insurgency servers back in ArmA 2, we are trying to revive the gameplay style along with other servers doing the same to provide a fun and realism experience on a public server. This server will be up 24/7 unless updates or restarts are needed. The server may under go mission changes as we like to switch the terrain up from time to time, so don't worry about having to play the same terrain over and over again. We will keep the mission style to insurgency but some missions may have a slight difference depending on the scripting that went into the different missions. These missions are pulled from mission devs that are not part of our group, but will be modified for a better experience, such as adding ACE, Task Force Radio and CUP Terrains. HOW TO JOIN To join our server, all you need is the required addons and the latest version of ArmA 3. REQUIRED ADDON LIST ACE3 ACEX CBA A3 CUP_Terrains_Core CUP_Terrains_Maps Task Force Radio HOW TO PLAY For those of you new players that have not played these style of missions, we will describe how to play. Insurgency is a mission of clearing red grid squares that indicates towns or buildings, within those red markers are hostiles. You objective is not only to clear red squares to turn them into blue or green squares, but also retrieve intel of ammo caches in the region. Intel can be in forms of cell phones, radios, documents, pictures and even talk to civilians for intel. Once intel is acquired, red question marks with a number next to it will pop up on the map. Those question marks will give the approximate distance in meters of the cache from the marker. Once you find the cache, you are to detonate the cache. Once all 12 ammo caches are detonated around the map, the mission will end and restart or move on to the next insurgency map. If players do not want to cache hunt anymore, that is fine. There are also randomly generated side missions that generate around the map, such as, Eliminate HVT's, destroy IED factories, Destroy enemy convoy, Capture and much more. These missions will also give the players rewards such as new vehicles and equipment back at main base if the task has been a success. Being part of our server with the Task Force Radio addon requires all players to join our Teamspeak server for communication. This allows players to have a better realism experience having to use radios to communicate from one side of the map to the other. This also allows better organization in the server for multiple teams of people to communicate with out stepping over each other with default in-game communications.
