  1. Gents, New version (1.63) of "Night Tigers", a multiplayer cooperative mission centered on night operations in Vietnam has been worked up. (For anyone new to Arma, Armaholic is a wonderful repository of all things Arma related; missions, scripts, tutorials, ad infinitum. By all means check it out. http://www.armaholic.com/ Mission info can be found below: Coop: recommended 2-4 players (will allow 9) (single player not tested) Requirements: ArmA 3 Unsung Vietnam War mod, CBA_A3, Apex DLC April, 1967. You are part of a MACV SOG team which has been ordered to locate and destroy several NVA AA guns in the "Muah Quah" area of operations located on Doung Island of the Rung Sat Special Zone, Vietnam. Mission features: (1) the ability to respawn at one of three points in the event the player(s) suffer any misfortunes in the field. ( Make sure you spawn at HQ initially.) (2) Highly immersive soundtrack which lends itself well to the eerie movement through the waterways and jungle. (3) Numerous sound effects add to the atmosphere. (4)Full arsenal availlable to kit out with; both at Headquarters and Outpost Kable and scattered throughout the map. (Look for U.S. ammo crates in and around enemy installations and emplacements.) ( Bring LOTS of flares; you're gonna need 'em) (5) On call artillery fire support. (Accessed via the "0" (ZERO) key at the top of your keyboard. Scroll wheel options availlable after that. (6) Option to insert/remove earplugs at any point in the mission. Make certain you take one of the PBRs parked at the "River Rat Boathouse" once you've seen the general and kitted up. (7) Random enemy patrol script ensures replayability. (8) And thanks to Sergeant Dennenboom, an "official" end to the mission. Mission Notes: It is VERY important to ensure before beginning that your sliders for "Effects" and "Music" are set to at least 50 percent. (Mission sounds/music based on those levels.) It is recommended to set the "Radio" slider to zero to reduce/eliminate annoying AI chatter. It is also very important to the flow and immersion of the mission to begin at Headquarters, see the general to get your orders and then take one of the PBRs located at the "River Rats Boathouse" to begin the mission. Read the briefing and check the map out to get a feel for what you need to do and how you want to go about it. It is suggested also to disable all AI in the slots not taken up by a human player Known Bugs: (1) "image: cluster.jpg" not found sometimes appears at mission selection screen. (I've apparently not the intellect to make this "go away".) (2) "no entry cfg weapons. We are a small unit currently (under 20 people), and we would love it if you made us your first unit, or official unit! We go by PST, and conduct our ops on Saturday. Our operation times and further information is bellow." Operations: Our operations, as mentioned above, start at 12:30pm and last until 3:00pm PST. DONT BE ALARMED! We have 2 operations (as stated above). First operation is a recon operation from 12:30pm - 12:50pm PST. OUR operation is from 1:30pm PST - 3:30pm PST. Recon element can participate during the real op, but they will be normal infantry. Mods: Our modpack is under 20 gigs. We use all the latest designer mods, to really enhance our unit experience. From map gestures to realistic radio communication mods, we use a variety of client mods, and much more! To download our mods, we use 2 services, that I'm sure you have heard about. If not, that's fine. We use a program called ArmA 3 Sync. 2nd, we use a program called withSIX. Either one will do. DO NOT USE STEAM MODS. There have been issues with the server mods and steam mods.     CCE2 beta 7.x series

    Hi all, I've been given approval by Drongo69/TacRod to publish a fixed version of his CCE2 beta 7 template. ABOUT COIN COOP ENGINE 2 Your goal is to succeed in the COIN operation by hindering all resistance activity in the area. To do so, you will be assigned a range of missions. The countryside is crawling with resistance squads and camps. As you complete missions and kill enemies, you may requisition additional vehicles and troops. ABOUT THE DIFFERENT VERSIONS In this thread you'll find two iterations of the original CCE2 created by Drongo69. The first one is beta 7.1.x, which doesn't change anything from the original CCE2 releases and is only focused on fixing bugs. The second one is beta 7.2 onwards, which uses the fixes from beta 7.1 and expands CCE2 with new features and gameplay changes. So, it's up to you to decide which version to use. If you want oldschool CCE2 then pick 7.1. If you want more stuff pick 7.2. Note that I mean fixing bugs (broken stuff), not gameplay issues (like mission X being too hard or whatever). For the latter, read below. To apply the fixes over your mission just copy/paste the CCE directory over your that of your mission (make a backup first, just in case), then tweak DefineMission.sqs and DefineUnits.sqs accordingly (or copy the content of the CCE dir but those two files to avoid having to re-tweak). Then copy the trigger in the middle of the map in the mission editor to your mission or create a new one yourself with the settings: Axis a and Axis b about 8000 both (adjust depending on the size of your island, but it has to cover every single unit), Activation: anybody, Once (so, no repeat), Condition: CCE_Ready, On Activation: CCE_All = thislist DOWNLOAD CCE2 beta 7.1.1 Template: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zzs9vwrp73huuyg -- CCE2 BETA 7.2.3 This version of CCE2 expands on the original, fixing bugs and adding new features and gameplay changes. REQUIRED ADDONS - CoC Unified Artillery (if you use CWA you'll also need to apply this fix) These below aren't actually needed, but heavily recommended: - SNYSptPack.pbo (from SP/MP support pack) - for the rope and rappel anims - DrongosToolkitVoices.pbo (a modified version from Drongo's Toolkit), ECP_DSAI.pbo and ECP_DSAI_2.pbo (from ECP and its patch) - to activate DSAI - BN_tracer.pbo (BN880 version) - to see the tracers OTHER - FWATCH - to be able to show the personal menu with a key press - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED NEW FEATURES - New mission: Liberate Hostage - Helicopter insertions and extractions: The insertion types available are normal (by landing), fast rope, paradrop and HALO - Informer: There's a local informer in the camp that might know the approximate location of active camps, for a price. (additions in CCE\Informant, CCE\CAP\CampBossAI.sqs, CCE\Client\Start.sqs) - Equipment automatically assigned to players on (re)spawn (starting gear can be edited at CCE\respawnGear.sqs) - Disband: You can disband any of your units. When doing so, those units will be able to be recruited by any player. They'll be removed after a few minutes (in CCE\disband) - Reorder Unit(s): You can now send any unit or units to the end of your group formation. This way you can now, for instance, easily sort the big gaps in formations when units die or by having vehicles in the middle or the start of your group. (in CCE\reorder) - Reinforce: You can access the Reinforce menu from anywhere - Request Airdrop (CWA ONLY): Players can request vehicles and ammo crates to be airdropped to a specific location, for an increased fee. Only works for CWA. It's automatically deactivated for OFP servers. - Rearm: Players can now rearm the whole squad with their standard equipment. They'll keep radios and NV goggles given by the player, though. - civPopulate is now integrated into CCE2, in a modified version that works in MP. This allows to populate all the towns (and any other desired area) with civs, while actually using just a handful of civ units. It also features traffic, but only while playing in SP. For the full changelog refer to the readme in the /docs directory. BETA 7.2.3 MISSIONS WW4 Lead a Special Forces squad in your mission to hinder resistance activity in southern Everon.     Are there any groups or people still playing coop? I've been playing OFP since 2001 but I wasn't part of the community until 2006 when I got access to fast enough internet (and bought Resistance) to download addons, then Arma hit the shelves later that year so I never really got around to trying coop in OFP. I would like to finally play some good coop games, maybe with WGL, WW4 EXT, or with classics like FDF mod and the old Tonal.

  11. Hi all. I'm a total noob to Arma scripting (or scripting at all). I've read some tutorials, but still, nothing better than expirience. But, back to the point. I've been creating a MULTIPLAYER mission with Mobile HQ. I've done some testing with my friends, and generally most of things work, but there's this one issue I can't solve. Here's the code of the script I'm going to reference (the file name is mhq1.sqf and it is executed by execVM in init.sqf): MHQ1 is obviously a name of a marker I have set. mhq1 is the variable, name of object - SUV I have spawned in the editor. mhq1SpawnMarker is another marker I've put down in the base. The marker moving works fine. Now, when I am alone on the server and destroy the MHQ only one MHQ respawns. But then, when a friend of mine joins and we do the same, 2 of them spawn. If another friend join there are 3 vehicles spawning and so on. I've tried multiple variations of this code, including using remoteExec function, but no luck. I can't understand what's the issue, why this isn't working. I am aware that I could use a ready script from the net, but I'd like to learn scripting the way I'm doing it now instead of using other's work. Anyway, thans in advance for helping me out.
  12. Short backround: Me and 2 of my friends have been playing Arma series (from original Flashpoint) in every LAN-party we had. None of us have been playing these games in internet (no idea why), we'll not much anyways. Novadays we don't have LAN-parties as often as in kids (all +-30 years). So I'd have this idea to make a full cooperative campaign including the best missions from all games for our next LAN. Nostalgia for the win! And for extra twist I'll put us three in all of the missions and make some background story how we end up in all of the conflicts. So the campaign starts from 1982 Resistance and ends up in 2035 Apex protocol, when our 3 main characters are about 70 years old and still get dragged in to fighting. I'm not going to include all of the missions. And some missions like OFP's Desert ambush is just old MP-mission which is somehow integrated to the story (too legendary mission to pass!). Planned/finished so far: Reunite - Short mission in Tanoa, where all 3 reunite after many years [ALMOST COMPLETE] Resistance - Invasion (escape from Lipany, you can see Troska fleeing too, same idea as original mission, but alternative perspective) [ALMOST COMPLETE] More memories - Short side mission in "present day" Flashpoint - Desert ambush (not sure the date, maybe I'll put it between '82 and '85, more or less as original) [COMPLETE] - Flashpoint [COMPLETE] - Combined Arms [COMPLETE] - Camping [COMPLETE] - Alert [COMPLETE] - Montignac must fall [COMPLETE] - After Montignac [COMPLETE] These first OFP missions are pretty much identical to originals.   19. Mission updated to V1.2. Mission Briefing: One of our most hi-tech intelligence-gathering drone is captured by insurgency forces. The UAV probably had a malfunction. The plane is supposed to have a failsafe back-up system that automatically steers it back to base, but for some reason it went down and crashed. Now some of our most successful and useful surveillance technology is in the wrong hands. You are tasked to locate and destroy the drone wreckage before the insurgents can pull any information from it. Description: SP or Coop. This is a very atmospheric stealth mission with a tweaked detection system. It is possible to finish it without engaging the enemy, and without beeing detected. It is also possible to take out enemies without noticing the others, but since it's Arma; close-up-kills are out of the picture. If you are noticed or seen, the enemy will react thereafter and the mission will change and get a lot more difficult. The mission have some randomness, like the crashed UAV is on different locations, the enemy have random patrols, etc. etc., so each playthrough will be a bit different. The mission have NO respawn. Just to add some nerve. The nerve is important here. The AI is tweaked so they act like normal human beings, and not elite god-like soldiers that will pop you from 1 km away. Neither you or the AI have nightvision. The detection system in this mission can be developed even more, so leave me a message if someone have awesome ideas! Approximate time to finish the mission: 1 hour. (Depends on how sneaky you are) No mods required. Look at the screen shots below, play it and enjoy.   23. Mission update to V 1.1 (see changelog). This is a difficult mission that requires teamwork. The mission have no respawn, but it have ACE3 medical system and revive. Briefing: A powerful and professional military terrorist group have taken control over Chernogorsk. Most of the city have been destroyed and civilians have fled the city. The terrorist group is now using it as main base. Earlier attempts to bring them down have failed, and our officers have been captured and held hostage. The government is desperate and this is a delicate matter. You are tasked to rescue our officers held hostage inside the terrorist groups base. The terrorists main base is heavily armed. Satellite imagery reveals armed vehicles, large number of armed troops, snipers, HMGs, GMGs and mortars. They also have a huge searchlight spotting all activity in the area. It's not possible to take that out. Important: As soon you are spotted, or engage the enemy, the terrorist will prepare the executions of the hostages. Then we have 30 minutes before the first hostage is killed. After that, they will kill one hostage every 5 minutes. At least ONE hostage must survive. Choose your strategy well. Unfortunately we don't expect it's possible to save them all. Mods required: ACE3 Cup Terrains Features: A huge searchlight at the base. When detected by the searchlight, your position will be revealed and the searchlight will follow you until you can hide. Stay hidden when attacking or entering the base. High firepower. You will have Mortars, AT and UGV. But choose your strategy well. If you are easier to detect, it means you have little time to save the hostages. Dynamic difficulty.
