  1. H Squadron - 22 Special Air Service H Squadron is a Cold War themed MilSim community based on the British Special Air Service in the late 1970s - early 1980s. Aiming for a semi-realistic MilSim experience, the community will focus on the fictional H Squadron, deploying to conflicts, flashpoints and British foreign policy actions overseas, both fictional and based upon historical events. What we do: - Provide a short training phase, designed to emulate parts of SAS selection. This is mainly to ascertain the level of skill and ability of new members. - Conduct a mixed array of operations including: -- Deployment to ongoing British overseas operations -- Conducting domestic and foreign counter-terrorism operations -- Team Tasks (training and rapid overseas deployments) -- Training foreign militaries. - Approach taskings with the method of ‘basics done well’ using historic British Army doctrine and period equipment. - Research and interest into the SAS during the Cold War period. Requirements: - Age 18+ - Arma 3 - A short list of workshop mods DLCs: -- Mandatory - SOG Prairie Fire, Western Sahara -- Desirable - Global Mobilisation (Separate mod list available for those without Global Mobilisation). Desirable traits: Interest in Cold War history. Interest in Cold War period SAS operations and strategy. Squadron structure: - HQ Troop - Command and Control - 4-8 men - Air Troop - HALO, HAHO, Static Line - x16 men - Boat Troop - Maritime, Diving, Boats and Submersibles - x16 men - Mobility Troop - Motorised Patrols, Weapons, Logistics - x16 men - Mountain Troop - Reconnaissance, Surveillance, Mountain Warfare - x16 men - RAF and RN support assets. What to expect: Twice weekly sessions (Days TBC) Relaxed command structure. Encourage individual patrols to operate independently, and with creative strategy to overcome developing and changing situations, often where the odds are stacked against the squadron. No long training or probation period. Selection phase designed to ascertain the level of knowledge and skill of individuals. Which we can then add to that knowledge, to bring everyone to the same operational standard. If you are interested in what we do, please join our discord. We are hoping to run our first selection phase soon. Waiting for ample numbers to show interest before we start. We are in the early stages of setting up this unit, so if you're keen to have a say and be involved in running this community now would be the perfect opportunity to sign up! Discord Link

  10. Formed in 2019 the 2 Mercian Regiment take years of military experience and combines it into the confines and limitations of the Armed assault series. Members who are or have served in the British army and RAF regulars and reserves both at Officer and non commissioned ranks, this brings a realistic flavour into the community but also balances that with great humour which is incredibly important to us as we all play for fun at the end of the day. There is no politics or red tape in this community however we have a rank structure to facilitate leadership, provide progression for members and keep tactics fluid. Above all we are a stable and friendly community who love to relax and have fun. We are keen to embrace all prospective member experience whether that may be Arma Life RPG, Milsim or real life experience it is important that we harness all of it into the community to continuously make it a better place. We will never stop learning from each other. With that in mind we cater for people who are brand new to arma/milsim so do not be perplexed. ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ Training Phase 1 and 2: Basic infantry training comprises all section level battle drills, Marksmenship, OIBUA/CQB etc Every single member including those who founded the community have been through this package. It is designed to bring everyone onto the same page and is not about teaching people to suck eggs. The more experience you bring to the table the richer and faster your training will be, however there is no place for people who are cocksure and are likely to be 'Jack' . Progression Those who are impassioned to the community will get the chance to take promotion courses and could find themselves in rewarding leadership positions within the community or heading up specialized attachments. Attachments: Joint helicopter command - Providing transport, logistics and Close air support to infantry, JHC fly a number of air frames including the famous AH-64 apache gunship 3 Medical regiment - Experts in the deployment of field medicine and clinical practice 3 medical regiment ensure no player is left unattended too. 11EOD&S - Providing logistical support in a variety of scenarios, they are explosive technicians and experts in their field ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ 11. ArmA III strongly seems to lack expansive 2035-style expansions on vanilla content. It has been my dream to fill that gap with a mix of my own ideas and ideas brought forward by many avid fans of the BLUFOR 2035 setting. After five years, I started work on this project in November 2019, with the irreplaceable aid given to me by renowned mod authors responsible for the likes of the CSAT Modification Project, Community Upgrade Project, the unofficial Aegis expansion, and more. If you have requests for what you'd like to see in this mod, please note that if the uniform/vest/gear type isn't in the mod presently, I likely won't be able to make any texture edits until I add them into the mod. Thanks for the continued support, and I hope you enjoy the mod!
  12. Mission Statement Reaper crew is a professional ArmA 3 unit looking to balance quality gameplay with military style realism and tactics. A great deal of ArmA 3 units are based around a specific military organisations and, coupled with the desire for realism often comes with the added encumbrance of less than exceptional gameplay and tedious training sessions. Here at Reaper Crew, we aim to embody our mentality of 'prevail through professionalism', providing our members with a level of serious, professional and immersive gameplay without detracting from a simple fact. We're all here to have fun. We are based in the UK. Operations and Events Our regular main weekly event is every Saturday at 20:00 UK Time (GMT) Core Principles As a unit, we aspire to embody some core priciples that are the basis for our community: Be professional - At the core of everything we do is professionalism. We strive to create an environment that everyone can be proud of. Quality over quantity - We are far from the largest unit, and with this comes a requirement to perform at our maximum ability. Put the work in, and the experience is greatly enhanced for all Your input matters - Everyone's opinions are important. If you have something you feel you want to say. Say it! Give & take - We aim to be as accepting as possible of real life, plans change, emergencies happen. We don't seek to discipline or criticse those who cannot turn up every now and again. We encourage this give and take attitude to go both ways. Can't make the weekly event? No worries! Perhaps host something during the week for your fellow community members as a way of giving back! What are we looking for? If you would like to get involved, you must have meet the below criteria with no exceptions: Be aged 16+ Speak English to a good level Be willing to commit to regular events All new members will go through a very basic training course to ensure that the base level of tactics and procedures are understood, any additional training is usually acquired 'on the job'. How do I apply? Simply go to: https://reapercrew.co.uk/application-form/ and join the discord link provided!

Rather than continuing to release Spearpoint as a monolithic mega-mod, I'm breaking it down to enable faster updates and to give players the customisation to create a set up that suits their group (in the same vein as 3CB and others). This post details the weapons packs of this mod. Coming soon: Fully featured FN Fal & more Latest release: L2 Sterling SMG Get it now on Steam Workshop The L2, ubiquitously known as the "Sterling" after its place of manufacture, is a British submachine gun in service with the British Army from 1953 to 1994. It continues to be used by some police and military forces around the world. First release: Lee Enfield No.4 & L42A1 pack Get it now on Steam Workshop Post WW2 the Lee Enfield became one of the most widely available weapons in the world. 15. 42 COMMANDO MILSIM UNIT GRIFFIN HAR2 RHS RETEXTURE -------- About: Two distinct Griffin variants are in RAF service, the HAR.Mk 2, operated by 84 Squadron as a multi-role helicopter from its RAF Akrotiri base, and the HT.Mk 1, flown by 60(R) and 202(R) Sqns as part of the Defence Helicopter Flying School (DHFS). In the support helicopter role, the Griffin HAR2 carries six fully-equipped troops, or up to eight if operationally essential. It also employs underslung Bambi Buckets for fire fighting and has a vital search and rescue (SAR) mission, as well as taking force protection, military aid to civilian authorities and ISTAR roles. The Griffin HAR2 is equipped with night-vision goggles and a FLIR/ TV turret, which affords its crews a relevant night capability. Owing to the hot, arid climate of its Cyprus base, the HAR2 regularly employs its crucial fire fighting capability across the region. Other capabilities include search and rescue. The HT1 lacks the weather radar and one or two other of the HAR2’s operational features, but is equipped to deliver comprehensive multi-engine helicopter training to future frontline pilots and rear crew. It also equips 202(R) Sqn, formerly the SAR Training Unit, providing UK military helicopter pilots with SAR and mountain flying training. RHS UH1Y Retexture of the Griffin HR2 Helicopter. 19. Hello all, I am pleased to present my second attempt at making a map - Ypres 1917. Background The map is a WW1-based terrain set during the Third Battle of Ypres, 31st July-10 November 1917, also known as the Battle of Passchendaele although the heightmap and satellite are randomly generated/custom made. For this reason, the Arma 3 WW1 mod is highly recommended. When the map is released in full it is possible that it will also become integrated into that mod, but for now any earlier version will be independently released. Features Map Size - 2km by 2km. The map features over 2.5km of trenches, both front line and communication trenches. Various underground bunkers/ dressing stations. The map features transitions from a small rear area, untouched by war, into the front line and no man's land. There is an airfield behind the lines in this area. Several fortified strong points along the front line, including a ridge with several pillboxes and outposts as well as a sector of the trench that is integrated into the ruins of a village. Different types of sectors along the front line. Because of the size of the map, a single, unbroken continuous trench line would be boring to make and play on. Instead, I've tried to add some variety to the terrain in different parts. One sector of the front line is flooded partially and composed of multiple outposts or fortified shellholes. Another sector features several separated but mutually supporting slit trenches in a forest. The fairly small gaps between different sectors are covered by barbed wire and pillboxes etc. A few artillery positions/emplacements. 2 half-destroyed towns. No man's land - ranges between 300-100m between the opposing trenches. Covered with shell-holes with varying depths that offer cover. Gameplay/playability One of the main issues about making a WW1 map is the Arma 3 AI. The AI aren't really capable of moving within the longer lines of trenches, but I've altered the map in some areas to improve AI playability. Some parts of the trenches are separated for 5-10m which allows the AI to pass through the front line into the rear, or likewise to pass through trenches on the way to attack. At some point I am going to add some better sheltered forming-up positions which will allow the AI to attack or reinforce with ease, making it possible for them to gather for an attack but out of sight of the opposing trench. The AI can't really enter or jump into the opposing trench line unless there are gaps, but they will attack it and stand on the parapet, letting them shoot into the trench. They are however capable of defending trenches pretty easily, and quite effectively, as they just need to be placed on the fire-steps. The AI perform much better around the less complex slit-trenches, which they sometimes are capable of entering/moving around. The shorter the distance between waypoints the better. Sometimes the AI will try to avoid passing through trenches completely and will detour huge distances to get to a waypoint behind the front line. However, this can be avoided if waypoints are placed close to each other. I highly recommend VCOM AI for attacking AI, although it should be disabled on defending AI to prevent them moving and glitching through the trench models. Gameplay - The map requires some skill/planning to attack an opposing trench. E.g. A frontal mass infantry assault in daylight without artillery will fail. However, in order to pull off a successful attack it's necessary to carefully use smoke and artillery, and make use of the cover in shell holes. Anyone willing to playtest the map is welcome. The mod uses assets from IFA3 as well as the WW1 mod, so both are required. To-do list / problems Add more reserve lines of trenches. This should allow for scenarios with multiple stages of attack. Polish the map and tidy up some of the messier sectors of trenches. Add more textures to the map. The current satellite image is provisional, and might be changed. Add more cover to no man's land in the form of craters, debris etc. Make the map in general, but specifically the trenches more easy for AI to use Screenshots Any feedback is welcome.
  20. Metropolitan Police Specialist Firearms Command is looking for new recruits to join our Milsim group. MPSSFC has decided that there really is little to no real Police Milsim units available to join we decided to base ourselves on the UK SFC with sub-divisions of CTSFO and SC&O19 we would like to think that we are not that serious of a Milsim unit we don't command an ultimate level of professionalism and seriousness we just ask that people act appropriately depending on the scenario but for the most part we just want people to enjoy themselves. We accept anyone from anywhere (You don't have to be from the UK to join that is not the case) as long as the applicant meets the application criteria and 16+ and able to speak English. If you wish to join our unit please fill out this simple application form: https://goo.gl/forms/Elj8HX51kFnHHIcw1 Alternatively, you can join our Teamspeak server and find out more and come have a chat with a member of staff! 22. 11th Armoured Division "Black Bulls" Who Are We: The 11th Armoured Division is a realism unit portraying the 11thAD (WW2) and 1RTR (Modern day) of Her Majesties Royal Army. We are a small scale unit (20 active) typically operating at Platoon level but as we expand we plan to begin company level operations. Our main focus is on accurately portraying motorized/mechanized infantry and Armored units in Arma 3, from the weapons and specials to the tactics and commands given. Training in the unit is based on the manuals of the time so you can rest assured your experience will be as close to what the real soldiers of the time went though. What do we do: Our unit strives to provide a realistic experience in ARMA 3, to this end we organize campaigns with shifting front lines and the ever present need for supply. What we play as well: We are playing Arma to prepare us for when Post Scriptum is released. We also play War Thunder as a Historical based squadron, to play against other like historical squadrons. We also hope to get into Squad as the Royal Dragoon Guards. Order of Battle: Post Scriptum/ Arma 3: 24th Lancers (WW2) 8th Battalion, Rifle Brigade (WW2) 75th Anti-Tank Regiment, RFA (WW2) Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Modern) War Thunder 24th Lancers 15th/19th Kings Royal Hussars 75th Anti-Tank Regiment, RFA Website: https://11thad.shivtr.com/ Steam Group: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/11thBlackbulls Discord Server: https://discord.gg/JseC8Dk Signed, Lieutenant Colonel Lucas I. 23. The Wrecking Crew The Wrecking Crew is a realism group that prides itself in its dedication to realistic and enjoyable game play, without the rigid aspects like permanent ranks and having to shout "Yes, sir" at a 14 year old. While we play mostly as British Forces to make coherent training possible, we have a whole host of players who come from all over the world, some as far out as Malaysia and South Africa. You select the role you'd like each week for our editor-driven operations, as long as you are competent and prove yourself by passing the required training sessions for that role, with some not requiring any. This allows you to vary from leading a platoon one week to driving a tank the next. The freedom to experience so many different types of game play without hindrance on the co-operation & enjoyability is something you will struggle to find in most other ArmA groups. Public Server If you would like to experience first hand what it's like to play with TWC, come join us on our public server. It runs different dynamic game modes made entirely in-house with a more relaxed game play than in our operations, but it will still give you a good insight in the community and play style. You don't need to sign up to participate on our public server, just the mods and to connect to our TeamSpeak server. We've created an easy to follow guide on how to get connected here. About our Operations Alongside a public server that runs 24/7, the biggest event our group hosts are weekly 'Operations' with between 20 to 40 people. As well as the occasional 'Joint Operation' with other groups which have encompassed up to 70 people total. Our operations span over a century of warfare, with a monthly rotation of World War 2, Cold War, Turn of the Millennium and Modern Operations. This means that in one month you can liberate a French town from Nazi occupation, halt a Soviet mechanised assault in the plains of Northern Germany, brawl with Iraqi armour in the deserts of Kuwait and patrol through the hills of Afghanistan, searching for insurgents. In these operations any recruit or member can play any role as long as he has received the corresponding training. In our operations we strive for maximum realism. We find real-life solutions for problems that we may face in game, while omitting more tedious parts of military duty like saluting, hour-long marches and range etiquette. We aim for the most immersive experience possible by having minimal HUD, first person only, a single life and using ACRE 2 for communications. Our operations take place on Saturday at 18:30 (UK time) and can last up to four hours or more. Interested in trying it out? If you're interested in participating in public, or signing up to try out our operations, you can check out our website for more information: http://www.thewreckingcrew.eu/. Alternatively, you can contact us on Discord, or pop directly onto TeamSpeak where any member will be willing to help you join with no hassle.
