I have unit A that needs to be rescued by the player, so there is an action added to A. So i've done both situations of adding the handler to either unit A or the player and it doesn't seem do anything for either of them? I also checked wether it is added and it is as systemChat in the text block display in the case of the switch.

Action "DropWeapon" not working with AI now.

This used to work (last time I used it was a couple of months ago) but now it doesn't: _unit action [ "DropWeapon", ("GroundWeaponHolder" createVehicle (position _unit)), (primaryWeapon _unit) ]; _unit will perform the action/drop weapon anim, but the weapon remains in his hands. Obviously, I could just use removeWeapon, but this is more for the aesthetics of it as the player is likely to have eyes on _unit. Has this broken/changed or anything since Eden? edit: Scratch that, I must have changed some things that I forgot about. It used to be a handgun hat was dropped, not primary, so I'll probably just go back to that. But what would stop this working with primary weapons?- 10 replies

Need help with simple add action script

I was attempting to make a simple mission file script which adds a new scroll action to the driver of a vehicle. When this option is selected i want it to play a sound effect from my description.ext file, so that everyone in the vehicle hears the sound effect coming from the vehicle. I tried a few different things but none of them really worked out, any help? -
Hi, just place player and another unit (h1, with backpack) in editor (EDEN). fire a code: h1 action ["DropWeapon", unitBackpack h1, currentWeapon h1]; like on BI documentation. Crash guaranteed.

Hey, everyone. Having used player action ["SwitchToUAVGunner", uav] to put a player as the UAV gunner, I can't terminate it automatically with uav action ["BackFromUav", player]; Is this action not working or am I potentially missing something here?

Bug Report: Treating oneself without primary weapon leads to action stacked

Report a bug here: If you treat yourself without primary weapon, the action will be stacked and you cannot move anymore and just crouching there. (you can still turn, but cannot move or switch other things) Of note, I did not test whether the bug is due to no primary weapon or holding second weapon; and the reason why this guy did not have primary weapon is that I remove his primary weapon. I cannot figure out potential reason, I guess it was due to the order of action after the action of treatment, i.e., hold primary weapon or so. Nevertheless, I hope the development team could check this problem. Dragon Zen
