Give console players an Modding tools account
BuzzcutBob87 posted a question in Arma Reforger - Questions & Answers
It would be great for console players to get a steam key at purchase so they can get access to the modding tools. This would allow us to join in, but also create our own experiences, tailored for console. At the moment you can only get access if you buy the PC version. Would this be viable? -
I got following problem: I finally got my new computer setup und freshly installed arma3 after 5 years without any video games, but Arma3 just wont start. When i click on "Play" in the lower left corner of the arma launcher it seems to start the game but it gets stuck "initializing addons" while loading and then gives me following information: 0xC0000005 - STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION Details are: but i startet it without any mods and dlc's.. I didnt really found any helpfull support on that, this may be the result of my poor englisch skills so please be nice to me. Thanks for your help.

Prevent players from opening/accessing/manipulating with AI unit's inventory
Asmodeuz posted a topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Human players can access individual AI soldier's inventory when they are the acting squad leader for a squad filled with AI soldiers. Acessing the inventory can be done from the Action menu by selecting menu number 6 ("Action") and from there selecting Open subordinate's inventory Also already thinking past that human squad leader can also give an "inventory command" which makes the selected AI to approach some container and after reaching the container the AI's inventory dialog will open where the player can then freely transfer items between the AI's inventory and the container. Might there be some way to prevent players from opening, accessing or manipulating AI's inventory in aforementioned ways?- 4 replies

so I'm getting an error after the last hot fix patch today, "windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item" if I click ok the launcher pops up again and shows me the game failed to boot and i can start the game with battle eye disabled. however, this is not acceptable for online play. so far I have tried deleting the battle eye files off the appdata folder i have run a battle eye uninstall.bat file in the arma folder, and i have done a number of steam file checks. I have also run the launcher, and the game directly in administrator, i have changed the file properties of the arma and battleye .exe to launch in administrator mode as well. Please, any help would be appreciated.

As the topic states, what would be a reasonable time-frame / date as to when the modding community will be granted access to the Encrypted APEX PBO files.

[aps]gnat posted a topic in TAKE ON MARS - GENERAL
This is for Take On Mars user made screenshots only. As always, hotlinking images greater than 100kb is not allowed, and anyone breaking this rule will end up with their infraction level raised and the pictures removed. Also: Please, no discussion here about the screenshots. Do not post screenshots that give away any campaign or mission spoilers, doing so risks an immediate ban from the forums. All replies without an image will now be met with warning and then infraction increases, use the Take On Mars Photography : Questions and Comments thread! (Pending) Broke it already !! -
Take On Mars now available on Steam Early Access
Korneel posted a topic in BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE - NEWS
Today we've released our brand new installment in the Take Onâ„¢ simulation video game series, Take On Mars. Available exclusively on Steam (Early Access) and Store.bistudio.com for 12.99 USD/9.99 EUR/8.99 GBP, Take On Mars is one of the 'smaller' and perhaps more experimental projects from our stables. At the same time I think it's also one of the coolest - especially if you're into space exploration like many of the Bohemians Interactiveans. If not, For those who hear about Take On Mars for the first time: in short, the game provides you with the opportunity to enlist as a Rover Operator and explore real locations on Mars (check the gameplay trailer below). With a scientific arsenal at your disposal, you will work your way through the numerous Science Missions in each of the locations, unlocking the secrets of Mars' distant past. And... as with any space exploration mission, the initial launch of Take On Mars is just the start of the journey. By making the game available as an Early Access title on Steam, we hope to create the most dynamic exploration sim game possible. Thus, besides the Space Program campaign and the individual scenarios, the game also comes with a scenario editor, Steam Workshop integration (to be added later) and modding support. Regular updates to the game are to be expected, and all players are welcome to report game issues or provide suggestions to the dedicated TKOM Feedback Tracker. Of course, we also invite you to the Take On Mars section on the forums. Marti(a)n Melicharek is actively replying to questions, and all of us are very curious to know what you think of the game! To Bohemia Interactive. As you know the 360 controller is widely used as a choice for a gamepad with pc gaming. Before the official release don't you think you should have a default settings for gamepads like the 360 controller. I see the game recognizes the controller. Some many people in the beta are having trouble setting this up. We know the game is complex but setting it up and getting to the action should not be. It does help your support of the game by not have that feature. For all other having this issue please reply so we can see if they are listening to our request. Also for those who have figured out the best setting for the controller please share.

Is there a way to limit FPS other than some unreliable 3rd party softwares? If the FPS keeps jumping from 30 to 60 all the time it's just unplayable, limiting to a solid 30 would give a much more consistent feel.

Hello everyone, In an attempt to satisfy everyone's curiosity (pun intended), we are proud to bring Take On Mars to Steam's Early Access catalogue on the 1st of August. After this initial launch, we hope to receive feedback and suggestions from players, and work together to create the most dynamic exploration sim game - driven by everyone’s passion for exploration and interest in extra-terrestrial bodies, such as Mars... Better said, especially Mars! We have prepared a short video of the Space Program gameplay to help demonstrate what the player can expect: Let the ideas roll in!
