I've been having quite some headaches trying to figure out how to make a sidemission generator Basicly what i want is via player input (like pressing a button via addaction) to be generated a side mission with custom units on either a few specified possitions or on a random possition. I think it will be simpler by using scripts, but if there is a stragiht up init would be nice aswell If anyone can help it would be appreciated

One of the reasons you’re reading this is either you don’t have an arma squad and is looking for a proper one, or you have one which is utter shit. Either way you’ve come to the right place. What do we do? Well most of us spend our loving free time playing the amazing addictive game called Arma 3. For a long time we played on different invade and annex servers, life servers and other servers, but we wanted to do our own thing. So we created and bought a server for us to run our Zeus Campaigns/Operations. We’ve been doing Zeus for a lot of time and we find it very fun but it is important that the fun is there. So if you’re gonna join expect most of our gameplay to be with the group on our own server. The Companions History We started out by meeting each other on a invade and annex server, there we formed a group called Steel Fangs. The little problem was it was ruled and lead by a person who was incapable of running a group. Everything felt a little bit like North Korea, and we were simply getting tired of it. So we told the guy leading to go bite himself and we went on to create The Companions. One of the important things when we created this new group back in February was that it wouldn't get too mill sim, coz we still wanna have fun. We do try to mix it up, so you still get the immersive feeling. Who are we? We’re about 50 members at this moment. Well we have a majority of swedish people but we do have a rule stating that english is the language to be spoken within group. We’re all nice people but we do enjoy banter, if you feel like someone is being too rude, well bad luck we are a banter group with limits. We also have some south africans, irish people, finnish people, english people a little bit of everything. What to expect if joining? Frequent gameplay, great mates and a lot of hours in Arma.   3. Hi, Some friends and I have rented a server we would like to advertise to the community. It is a BMR Insurgency (Credits to Jigsor for the game mode) I have modified it slightly to add some new units and roles that I think will make the server more interesting. (SWCC boat teams, FA-18's, mechanized teams, combat rescue teams, etc...). All of the core abilities within BMR's insurgency are retained (CAS system, heli extract, AI recruiting, HALO jump for players and AI, suicide bombers, enemy air patrols, etc...) OPFOR is disabled, however. Right now we are running a Tanoa RHS Insurgency. (In the future we will host CUP maps but for now we wanted to stay as minimal as possible) I know Tanoa is notoriously resource heavy but I have set the game parameters up so that the game will run as smoothly as possible. I have experienced 40+ FPS during firefights outside and inside the towns. ASR AI3 is active and makes a big difference. The game is much more enjoyable with this mod. The AI is terrifying and reacts much more intelligently to your actions.     Utes Battlefield

    WELCOME TO UTES BATTLEFIELD Utes Battlefield is a DeathMatch / Player vs. Player / Player vs. Ai / survival game mode. The objective is to gear up as fast as possible and survive as long as you can. No mods required. Only requirements are Arma 2, OA, BAF and PMC FAQ: Q. Rank system? Is this COD? A. Not a really, but you do get perks with your increasing score. Basically you spawn with better gear. Q. How do you get a gun? A. Weapons are found in one of three places, first in ammo caches that are marked on the map and randomly spawn in areas, or second, inside and outside buildings, and third, from supply drops that occur every once in a while. You can also find them on dead players whose bodies have not yet been looted or despawned. Q. Can we have fun with vehicles? A. Yes, there are all types of vehicles placed on the map, each of them with a build-in repair system (use scroll wheel on them when damaged) and a respawn when destroyed function. Vehicles will respawn to their original locations. Q. Are medics essential? A. No, everybody is able to fully heal themselves. Only after you get hurt, will you be able to use a medkit. The option will be available with mouse scroll wheel. You can get new medkits from marked boxes, dead players or medical tents/vehicles. Every player can only hold a max amount of 3 medkits. Q. Why can't I get inside a vehicle with someone else? A. The game mode is set to Death Match, which basically means everybody is your enemy. Arma game mechanics don't allow you to get inside a vehicle which is being controlled by an alive enemy. Q. How do I use the missile strike function? A. You need a Laser Marker with batteries to target something. Then you can call in the strike. Laser markers can be found in random building spawns or in some boxes. Q. Why is there a poop function? A. To stop people camping in air vehicles or somewhere in the sea (you can not poop inside a vehicle or over water). You will get notifications telling you the condition of your belly. Once it tells you : You really need to poop now!, then you only have 60 seconds left before death. It also has a nice side effect giving you 0.05HP back.   8. Started in July 2016 by a few friends interested in MilSim operations. We have recently decided to make the unit official and public. We are still working on getting everything organised and setup, we have a 100 slot Teamspeak, a professional Training map, a Dedicated Server Box, mods which allow us to take the 1st ID role both visually and mentally. Requirements Must be 17+. Must speak fluent intelligible English. Must be able to make events in the CST timezone (2pm - 8pm) and commit a reasonable amount of time to the unit. Information The 1st Infantry Division realism unit is a unit in which enforces a realistic type approach to the game of ArmA 3 like many other realism units. We are looking to induct dedicated, mature members willing to put the time and effort into bettering their skills and strategies for the unit. Recruits will go through a series of courses and tests to make sure that they are ready to take on the challenges the 1st Infantry Division will come across in combat.   10. The world as we know it is gone. Within days, Red Venus spreads like The Plague, infecting millions. Those who are infected later die and come back and feast on the living. Fast forward to 2 years after the outbreak, (2 A.Z) The People's Survivor Army, an advanced military organization on Altis took up arms to restore order and beat back the infection once and for all. The year is now (3 A.Z), the PSA have failed to stop the infection. They pulled back to their last operational base, Fort Huxley, and turned it into a safezone for survivors. It is currently the last known functioning PSA facility on the island. Will you join the ranks of the PSA? Become another survivor? Take up arms against the PSA? Or flee far away and establish your own faction/tribe/community? It's all up to you in this harsh Roleplaying world! What Exactly Is Red Venus? Red Venus is an Apocalyptic Life sim where you RP one of three modes (You can swap between them). Military, survivor/civilian, and mercenary. Military personnel have to enforce laws, ensure safety in safezones, and attempt to take Altis back from the dead and rebuild civilization. Civilians are basic survivors who must choose between a safe life within the safezones, or a hard life of banditry away from the safezones. Finally, Mercenaries are basically survivors who do not trust the military anymore, and decided to take matter into their own hands, where safety of civilians is their number one priority. Red Venus is the first ever gamemode meant to immerse the players into a heavy Roleplay environment based in the zombie apocalypse. Rather than throwing the players into an open world with the basic survival mechanics with no real idea of who you are or what you're supposed to do, instead Red Venus puts the players into one of three factions, fighting the undead and struggling for survival. Red Venus relies heavily on Roleplay. It puts the players into a post-apocalyptic world, but also prohibits RDM and pointless killing; "Forcing" players to roleplay. What Makes This Different? So first of all, this allows you to play as someone we barely ever see in zombie games: The government. They will have to coordinate and execute side missions and large military objectives to eliminate the undead threat. While also having to worry about Civil-control, settlement management (Think State of Decay-Style), and even combating the local resistance based on the player's moral choices. For mission makers and server owners: Red Venus RPG is fully customizable. With an easy-to-use system, you can remove and add the features you would like to use in your server. Feel free to completely customize it and host it on your server for others to play.     Redline (FR) French

    FRENCH version RedLine La communauté Elements Gaming vous propose de rejoindre l'expérience RedLine! Le Mod RedLine RedLine est basé sur le Mod Wasteland, (http://a3wasteland.com/). Vous y retrouverez donc les mécaniques de bases avec 3 camps, des villes à capturer pour gagner de l'argent ainsi que des missions pour récupérer de l'équipement, des véhicules de l'argent etc... Les particularités de RedLine: Les factions sont représentées par L'OTAN, la Russie qui ont leur propre base fixe avec une safezone et les rebelles (ou indépendant). Sur RedLine chaque camps à son propre armement, M4/M16, HK417, Scar... pour l'OTAN et AK,SVD, PKP... pour la Russie. Sur les missions ont trouve aussi bien de l'équipement russe que OTAN ce qui vous permet lors de rares occasion de profiter de l'équipement adverse. La carte est séparée par un mur qui détermine la frontière. Il y à plusieurs points de passages matérialisés par des postes frontière, d'ou l'appelation "RedLine" du Mod. Un système de classes est en place avec l'infirmier, le sapeur, le fusilier, le pilote d'hélico, le pilote d'avion, le conducteur de blindé lourd et bien évidemment le sniper. Chaques classes à sa particularité, par exemple, seul l'infirmier peut réanimer un joueur, seul le sapeur peut réparer et utiliser les lanceurs anti-char ou anti-aérien etc... Ce fonctionnement permet de mettre en avant le jeu en équipe. Sur Redline vous trouverez également un sytème de spawn différent d'un Wasteland vanillia. Les indépendants spawn aléatoirement dans les les villes d'un secteur de la map, pour Bornholm il s'agit du Middle-Nord (villes autour de Gudhjem. L'OTAN et les russes spawn sur des "MHQ", c'est à dire des postes avancés mobiles qui sont à disposition aux bases et que les joueurs peuvent transporter par hélico pour les positionner sur des secteurs stratégiques. Les missions IA: Vous trouverez deux sortes de missions d'IA, les mission annexes ou "side mission" et les missions principales "main mission". Pour les side missions: Drug runner Geo cache Hacker Helico hostile Outpost Smugglers Les main missions: APC/Blindé lourd/hélico armé Convoi Convoi d'argent Les addons/scripts intégrés sur RedLine: ETV: "Explosive to Vehicle", permet de pouvoir attacher une charge explosive sur un véhicule Mag Repack: outil pour combiner les chargeurs entamés TAW View distance: permet de régler au mieux votre distance d'affichage Vehicle action: interaction sur les véhicules véhicule pour obtenir les infos et lock/unlock. Statut bar: affiche en bas de l'écran les infos du serveur (FPS, nombre de joueurs, temps avant restart) Ear Plug: bouchons d'oreilles activables pour limiter la gène du bruit lors de déplacement en véhicule. Safe: possibilité d'acheter un coffre personnel au shop pour sécuriser son stuff et de l'argent. Les fonctionnalités inédites de RedLine: Système anti-camp (sur Roenne,Aarkirkeby et Nexoe): si vous restez trop longtemps sur la même zone, un carré s'affiche sur la map indiquant votre présence (carré de 50m*50m). G-force: prise en charge des "G" que votre joueurs peut encaisser lorsque vou etes en hélico ou en avion. L'écran s'obscurci si vous prenez trop de "G". Restrictions sur les classes: par exemple si vous utilisez un fusil de sniper sans être sniper, vous n'arriverez pas à stabiliser votre visé, si vous n'êtes pas pilote d'hélico vous ne pourrez pas prendre les commandes d'un hélico etc... Usure des silencieux: prise en charge de l'usure des silencieux afin de limiter l'abus de son utilisation. Gestion des IA: nous utilisons nos propres scripts pour gérer au mieux le comportement des IA. Armurerie spécifique pour chaque factions: chaque faction à accès à son propre armement Customisation de la map: certaines zones et villes de la map ont été modifiés, ajout de camps de batiment etc..
