DESCRIPTION OPEX: Opérations Extérieures (External Operations) is an immersive fully dynamical task generator introducing the French Army fighting against terrorist organizations all over the world ! AUTHOR'S NOTE Bonjour ! I have to be honest, OPEX has totally be inspired by MSO from ArmA II, so all credits should go to its development team. After I tried it, I thought the idea of a fully dynamical task generator was brilliant, but there was some features that was not perfectly fitting to what I was expecting and some others that were missing. Firstly, I tried to customize MSO but I finally chose to rebuild everything from scratch. It's certainly not as good as the original one but after more than 5 years of development (yeah, really !), and even if there are still many things to do (correcting all bugs, creating versions for some other maps, adding new tasks, optimizing all scripts...) I must say I'm pretty satisfied of what I did so far. It was initially a personnal project, but I thought maybe someone else could now be interested too so I'm proud to present today the first public relase ! I hope some of you will enjoy... MAIN FEATURES SP & MP compatible Option menu at startup to customize the mission by enabling/disabling/modifying included features Mission entirely built with random parameters for unlimited replayability Let the engine select a random task or select it by yourself among various ones (patrol, defend, attack, rescue...) Additional unique tasks depending on maps, to use some of their unique features (example: searching for caves on FATA...) Fully unpredictible situations to increase stress and realism: in opposite of most of all other similar task generators, enemy strength is fully random and is not based on players numbers Many random AI activities: patrols, ambushes, assaults, kamikazes, weapons caches, IEDs... KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES (any help is welcome !) Picture pictures\overview.paa not found at startup when joining server despite the picture is present in the mission folder, I don't know how to fix this. Ambient civilian vehicles are sometimes spawning on buildings (so they explode) when playing on some unofficial maps. It seems to happen because some ArmA I / ArmA II buildings are not recognized by the engine ? The armory may take some time to initialize ion MP (you may see a few weapons or objects flying at start-up). Just wait a few seconds, everything should automatically move on the walls (maybe a server sync problem ?). Ambient AI animations may sometimes be weired when playing on MP TO DO LIST (Extreme prioriy): fix all bugs reported by the community (High priority): add many new tasks (High prioriy): create version for many other maps (High priority): always reduce addon dependency as much as possible (Medium priority): add more details to briefings (Medium priority): add notes and tips (example: how to use tactical glasses...) (Medium priority): optimize and tweak all scripts and functions (or better: rewrite everything because so many time has passed since the first code I wrote !) (Low priority): correct current localizations and add new ones (will require some translators !)   2. 7CMBG has been around since 2007 through ARMA 2 and is now solely an ARMA 3 unit. We are the oldest Canadian Armed Forces MILSIM unit in the ARMA community. Our goal is to build a professional-looking unit with great servers and like-minded people to have fun in an immersive environment. 7CMBG as a MILSIM unit that looks for realism and follows strict ROEs when the mission or campaign calls for them. We pride ourselves on being immersive and realistic in how our missions are made and planned; but allowing our members to operate freely and have a good time while remaining as realistic as possible. Roles: We are comprised of an air detachment and a mechanized infantry regiment. The infantry path starts with your basic qualifications course to work with the standard equipment starting from the C7 rifle and working your way up to the Carl Gustav. As an infantryman you will learn the roles of rifleman, light machine gunner, heavy AT gunner and basic field medic. As you become proficient in the weapons and tactics of the unit you may progress through the ranks and assume a leadership position.   3. "When civilization ends, it ends fast" - Tobias Greetings everyone! Today I'm here to share with you my biggest project yet. Operation Cobalt. What is Operation Cobalt? I'm sure we can all agree there is a lack of "good" FPS/TPS games based in The Walking Dead universe, with very few that even give a glimpse of the Army/Gov in action. Operation Cobalt is an apocalyptic life and milsim based in The Walking Dead universe, using RAVAGE as a base, and attempts to portray the efforts of the Military in a roleplay and milsim environment. Operation Cobalt is the name given to the plan devised by the U.S. Military in order to contain the spread of the infection. The initial stage of Operation Cobalt was initiated three days after the initial outbreak began in the U.S.A., with the deployment of military units into major urban areas (such as Los Angeles, California or Atlanta, Georgia) after the outbreak overwhelmed local law enforcement. Once deployed, the units would set up easily defensible 'Safe Zones' in urban areas such as Safe Zone India in Los Angeles or around the CDC in Atlanta. Medical facilities and refugee centers, such as those in the Los Angeles Arena and Raynard Community College, would also be set up to secure those believed to be infected, provide screenings for the injured and sick, and to act as bases of operations. Once these areas were set up, the safe zones would be used as a spring board to try to take back major metropolitan areas. The plan for the initial stage of Operation Cobalt can be described as follows: Selected, easily defensible areas to be chosen for safe zones. Medical facilities to be established for treating the ill and possibly infected. Those brought to the medical facilities would be held in custody until either seen by a doctor or symptoms of the infection manifested. Those who have either turned or showed signs of infection are to be humanely terminated, with their bodies being cremated. National Guard/Army units to use safe zones to retake city. You RP one of two roles (You can swap between them): Military and civilian. Military personnel have to enforce laws, ensure safety in safezones, conduct missions, and attempt to take the region back from the dead and rebuild civilization. Civilians are basic survivors who must choose between a safe life within the safezones, resort to baditry, or start their own community away from the safezones. In an effort to combine Milsim, Roleplay, and Zombie Survival, Operation Cobalt is the first ever gamemode meant to immerse the players into a heavy Roleplay environment based in the VERY EARLY stages of the zombie apocalypse, offering players an experience never before seen in Arma 3 while witnessing the fall of society. Rather than throwing the players into an open world with the basic survival mechanics with no real idea of who you are or what you're supposed to do, Operation Cobalt puts the players into one of two sides, where the civilians are free to start their own factions and communities while fighting the undead, pesky bandits, and struggling for survival in the beloved universe of The Walking Dead, and the soldiers need to enact Operation Cobalt. This mode allows you to play as someone we barely ever see in zombie games: The government. They will have to coordinate and execute side missions and large military objectives to eliminate the undead threat. While also having to worry about Civil-control, settlement management (Think State of Decay-Style), base and community building, and even combating the local resistance, both AI and real bandit players. Features Two playable factions, each with their own dynamics, shops, playstyles, events, bases, and equipment. Authentic roleplay environment. 120 max players. Extensive base building with different options based on which faction a player is in. Highly modified Ravage zombies with custom sounds and DayZ animations. (Configured as a replacement mod for Ravage) New weapons and items such as an AR-15, Thermometer gun, fishing pole, pickaxe, hammer, and dozens of food and drink items. Hunger and thirst. Arma 2 animations and terrain walking sounds. Mining, picking apples trees and mushrooms, fishing, hunting, and cooking. Customized ACE system, including easier and better medical. ACE can be fully customized to suit your liking under Options --> Addon Options --> Server --> ACE Stuff. Extensive lore based in The Walking Dead universe, with nods to the show and eastereggs. Weapon, item, gear, and vehicle shops with trading. Money, XP, ranking, and kill tracker systems. Full persistence if the server owner has INIDBI2 enabled. Bandit and friendly AI. Background The 20th Armoured Infantry Brigade was founded in November of 2015 by friends without sufficient time or hardware enough to fully commit to a proper MilSim unit- but still want to play professionally as a part of a team. Mission Our current aim is to provide a professional unit that realistically recreates the role of British Armoured Infantry. In this role, the FV510 WARRIOR sees use within the section for the infantry to fight with and out of. We are also well versed in dismounted infantry tactics for varied operations, and for operations with other units where the use of Warrior wouldn't be necessary. Our overall goal is to provide a unit which uses realistic British SOP's as best as possible, whilst also having fun and banter. Who We're Looking For We are looking for people who are motivated to create a unique MilSim experience. Since we aim to recreate a realistic representation of the British Army, we'd love to find personnel with previous military experience, with experience using WARRIOR and Armoured Infantry, and those with leadership and management experience. As it is, we currently have a fair amount of members who are current or former service members of the British, US, Danish, and Croatian Armed Forces, including members who have served within the actual 20th AIB itself. If you would like to advise or help out, please give us a shout, and we will do our best to accomodate you! We're also looking for modders to help with the creation of realistic in-game variants of the FV510, FV103, FV107, and AS90. We are indeed willing to donate to those willing to help. If you'd like to join a MilSim unit, but do not have the time for regular attendance, consider checking us out. We offer a reserves programme which accommodates your availability once you've completed your training. Things to Note Regular trainings are on Wednesdays and Operations are on Saturdays, both at 1900 UK time, unless we are doing special events or joint operations. We are looking for people aged 16 and up, especially those with prior military or cadets experience Please do not ask us to merge with your unit. We will not accept any offers. We are open to joint operations provided you use ACRE2 and allow joint training to be conducted beforehand. We do not have Sodexo Catering or friday afternoon weapons cleaning, and when you finish your CIC we give you a virtual daysack (which also works at night). We are a Military Simulation unit. We do our best to implement tactics and SOP's that are in use within the British Army. As such, we have a strenuous training programme and qualifications to be earned, and we expect a certain level of maturity and discipline from our members. We do not, however, require members to address each other by rank or act a certain way outside of the game. The Revenant Group is looking for players who want to be part of a specialised unit focused on countering various asymmetrical and unconventional threats in a wide theatre of combat environments. Our soldiers go through trainings that have been created by studying real army trainings and they partake in operations that a real light infantry airborne unit would execute. We strive to offer an enjoyable serious experience for all our soldiers while also maintaining a very diverse community that enjoys playing a wide range of games. If you are interested in well organized military trainings and operations while also making friends the 173rd is the right place for you. What We Do Based in the Central Standard Time zone, we conduct in-game military operations similar to what you might see in real life. We employ standard MilSim methods to create a realistic--and fun!--gaming experience through curated missions and an established training structure. We like to train others to eventually replace us and grow our community... Each Saturday (7 pm CST) we embark on an operation (part of a larger campaign) that is tailor-made to bring the best out of us--whether we are squad leaders, radio telephone operators, or every-day riflemen. As part of a United Nations African Peacekeeping Operation two years ago, the 173rd Airborne Brigade was dispatched with the United Nations peacekeeping effort. Half a year after the 173rd Airborne Brigade was pulled out of the region, the United Nations left the region for good after a peace treaty was signed between Molatia and Afrenia to remain separate from one another with separate governments. Both nations began to modernize their Military with the previous United Nations checkpoints remaining as the DMZ. With reports of the Afrenian military executing prisoners of war, NATO investigated the situation. Battle plans provided by S3 (Operations) for Operation "Ensuring Borders" on 02NOV2019. We run 3 hour operations every Sunday from 7 pm to 10 pm UK time. 1RRF is an arma 3 milsim unit based on the First Battalion, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, an Armoured Infantry battalion in the British Army. Opened first in 2016 and now reopened in 2020, we strive to attain a level of Realism unlike any other. Our organisation, equipment and tactics are based as accurate as possible on the British Armed Forces and the Fusiliers. Renowned for our accuracy and delivering our members a true authentic in the field experience. DISCIPLINE At 1RRF maturity and discipline is at the heart of our focus. When recruits conduct their formal interview with a member of RRO one of the things they are tasked with is to define and describe an understanding of discipline and chain of command. Without this knowledge and understanding they are unable to continue. Discipline continues through into our procedures as well. A primary example would be use of radio. Generally, recruits and fusiliers are asked to keep comms clear. Instead we rely on an echoing system by which orders or remarks are passed up and down the line. While this frees up radios for IC’s and 2IC’s to deliver snap orders it also gets the lads into a habit of communicating well with one another and improves drills. The unit is rigorous in its approach to recruitment as we seek to cultivate the right group of people in order to get the most out of the game we play and achieve the unit’s goals of innate realism and full authenticity. Specifically, we seek to recruit those with a natural interest in the modern British Army, and who are thus looking for the closest experience possible. There are no Hollywood firefights in 1RRF, only realistic engagements and authentic operations. Recruits can expect to be trained fully by proper ITC staff through Phase 1 training, then after some experience in a rifle company they may branch out to a variety of supporting roles; everything from Warrior drivers and gunners to mortar operators and section commanders. NAMC(North American Mil-Sim Community) is a community for Mil-Sim operations style game play. Some training will include: Machine Gunner, Medical, Pilot , Squad Leader Course Q: What about ranks? How do you decide who the Squad leader is on any given mission? We don't feel this should be something that an organization can really control. Obviously, we want squad leaders that know how to play well and know how to lead while in game. We will organize the squads, and the squads will determine who is the squad leader. Obviously, if you have special training such as the Squad Leader course, you should have a higher consideration. We reserve the right to remove a squad leader if there is obvious reasons to do so. We will not remove someone simply because they hurt your feelings, unless it was out of line, or breaks any of our standing rules. Q: What about attendance? I can probably only play once in a while. We are specifically created for the busy gamer. Attendance is NOT required. Obviously, in order for you and everyone else to have a positive experience, we ask that you make as many events as possible. 1 event a week is considered normal activity. 2-3 events is considered highly active. We value all levels of activity as this creates a more immersive game play. Bottom line, play when you can, for as long as you can. Just remember our goal is to provide immersive Mil-Sim style game play.

Freddie Zeelie that died in combat operation in 1974. Island is set to year 1974 when South Africa's 1 Recce Commando Unit operated from FOBs in the North Namibia. The South African "Recces" were deployed to many local hot spots during the late 1970s and early 1980s, particularly Angola. Namibia-Angola border had no fence at that time, only visible cutout grass (line) about 1/4 down from the North tip of the map. There is only one FOB in central South region with an operational airstrip. Back in 1974 most of the land has been without any roads and permanent settlements, so we try to simulate that harsh environment in this map. But I've added some roads for AI to somehow cope with the harsh terrain. Map is dedicated to heroes of the war and used by South African SF soldiers that also enjoy Arma 3. The Basics We do not do "Boot camp" or basic training before your first operation, First Company relays off of Qualification courses for it's people to fill specialist roles such as and including Marksman, Demolitions, EOD, Pilot fixed wing, Pilot Rotary, and more. Qualification courses are not mandatory to play specific roles, but put you in a higher position to pick those roles before operation start, if a qualified person for a specific role does not take the slot, and wishes to play as a different position, an unqualified person may take it. you may qualify in as many qualifications as you'd like to widen your skill base, or just join in and play at the casual level, we do not require you to sit through a training, or a boot camp in order to hold a rifle. we encourage all of our players to take the qualification courses, as it better expands our collective knowledge base within the community. Qualifications. qualifications are the essential piece to the puzzle that First Company uses for it's specialized rolls as stated above. a qualified personnel will go through a course where you will be taught the way we want you to preform a task, and ask you to demonstrate the task, if done correctly and the player understands the techniques taught, you will be qualified, it is that simple. we operate on a "no BS" policy, we don't want to waste your time, we will give you the essentials you need and all we ask in return is for you to demonstrate those essentials. qualifications are not mandatory but encouraged. do note, for some roles it will be hard for you to gain access to them without a qualification, one given example is pilot role, we take our pilots very seriously, as they can easily ruin an entire operation within seconds, this is not to be taken as an insult to your ability, but as security to our operational integrity, this same principle applies to other roles of this type. Operations First Company uses in house mission creators to create basic or advanced level operations to challenge the player base, before operation start there will be a planning phase, then briefing. once operation starts there will be an allotted time for all personnel involved to check their gear as well as radio frequencies, once the operation is complete a debrief will commence.   24. 7th Armoured Division Greetings, candidate. Welcome to the Desert. The 7th Armoured Division is a British WW2 Milsim unit. The Rifle Brigade is based on a mechanized carrier platoon, the reconnaissance element of a rifle company. A single section in a carrier platoon sports three carriers with three different crew weapons including the BREN, P.I.A.T and 2-inch mortar. We also have a halftrack section, made up of an assault element and base of fire element, equipped with a Bren team and marksman. The halftrack also sports a M2 Browning Machine Gun for the extra firepower. The unit also includes the 1st Troop from the 5th Royal Tank Regiment, the troop uses A27M Cromwells and the Sherman Firefly. The No. 322 Squadron from the Royal Air Force provides air superiority, close air support and aerial reconnaissance for ground forces. The squadron uses RAF P-39’s, but also carries out bombing missions using the infantry and tankers as gunners! We also have medical and logistical detachments, if you are interested in a non-combat role, as well as roles within the Support Company HQ. Members take part in a campaign that follows the exploits of the real Desert Rats through the deserts of Africa, the mountains of Italy, the hedgerows of France, and the battered ruins of Germany. Casual missions are open to any conflict, and are often made by our members. Recently, we’ve also started a Red Storm Rising campaign on Saturday at 7PM. Structure is important to us, but our goal is to create a camaraderie between our members rather than a rigid command structure. The CO’s door is always open, and while discipline comes first on the battlefield, we do not enforce discipline outside of our missions except in cases of bad behaviour.   25. MSOC-A Marine Special Operations Company - Alpha (MSOC-A) is an Arma 3 Mil-Sim unit with a desire to meet the highest of standards. Our training pipeline and our wide array of missions will teach you on how to be the most effective force on the ground, sea, and air. What can you expect from us: A strong training pipeline, designed to take even the newbies and make them an effective asset in the battlefield. This training schedule also ensures everyone is up to standards of a Critical Skills Operator. Wide array missions; ranging from recon ops to breach and clears, essentially anything that requires surgeon precision we’ll be there to get the job done.
