  4. 101st Airborne Division Realism Unit (US division) Arma 3 WW2 Milsim based on Iron Front mod with Faces of War The 101st Airborne Division Realism Unit is a milsim unit based on the Iron Front WW2 mod on the western front, with many fixes and custom additions working to achieve a realistic combat experience. With a rapidly growing population and many positions yet to be filled, we are proud to finally announce that we are opening our doors to public recruitment. In our constant effort to create a realistic World War II environment in Arma 3, our unit has adopted several mods that break new boundaries in creating this environment for our members. The mods are very accessible and easy to install even to novice players and full assistance can be provided to those who have any trouble at all. The mods that we use on our servers allow us to provide an incredible depth of realism that few other units can provide. Currently our unit is composed of players with very diverse backgrounds. Some of our members are veterans of the realism/milsim community that have been in multiple historical units, in both Arma 2 and Arma 3, which aim to endure the environments of which the brave soldiers of the last great war experienced. Basically you'll keep respawning in a helicopter every 30 seconds then explode until the respawn is enabled. Currently if you kill the civilians (rebels), Citizen won't get mad at you. When playing in SP, an error will occur when you kill an OPFOR unit which is about to say a warcry - this DOESN'T affect the script or mission at all. Because units have disabled FSM, they take longer to react to combat. When clear the leader will stop and do nothing, continuing the mission allows the squad leader to continue. Thanks to... Through these ideals and principles the 173rd strives to act in a manner that is, above all, other levels presented in other environments and communities. About Us We, as the 173rd Airbone, are seen to perform operations ranking from situations including direct action insertions, Air assaults, and dropping behind enemy lines. We pool our resources to create new content for all to enjoy, allowing a constant stream of feedback from our members to guide our direction. The mutual respect between members, regardless or rank, experience or status; is what allows for us to form a cohesive unit and to truly get the most out of the experience. Furthermore, our reenactment of the 173rd Airborne does not impede the enjoyment or structure of online game-play: We do not require for members to refer to each other by rank, sir or to fulfill unreasonable demands, as well as having a deep understanding that personal issues take precedence. Note to mission makers: This unit represents the near-future timeline Everon Coast Guard, a paramilitary force tasked both with Search and Rescue and coastal souvereignity missions. Their dual role needs them to be highly visible for rescue missions and heavily armed at the same time to provide for Everon's territorial and coastal water integrity. As the Sailors do conduct infantry guard and patrolling duties in coastal areas, they wear camo fatigues to present a low visual profile on land.   12. Hello this is Col. AvengedCanadian of Strike Group 10 here announcing that we are now recruiting members to the unit! Strike Group 10 is a Mil-Sim unit based in ArmA 3, Strike Group 10 consists of the US Navy and The USMC. Here at Strike Group 10 we have a age limit of 16. The USN Part of the unit flys FA-18E Super Hornets and FA-18F Super Hornets off of the USS Nimitz to provide support for ground troops as well as to maintain air superiority, In the near future the USN part of the unit will also be flying E-2A Hawkeyes as well. Under the USMC part of the unit we have Infantry roles as well as Heavy Armour, Light Armour, and SOAR (Helicopers). Our Infantry roles range from a simple rifleman to a AA Specialist. The heavy armour we have are M1A1FEP Abrams. Our light armour consists of LAV-25's. For SOAR we have AH-1Z Vipers, UH-1Y Venom Gunships, UH-1Y's in a transport configuration, MV-22 Osprey VTOL's, and CH-53E Super Stallions. Here at Strike Group 10 we have a age limit of 16.   17. Hey there! In the last couple of months/weeks, I started to became more and more interested in the content-creation part of ArmA 3. I wanted to share the results, but wasn't able to achieve a really high amount of subs yet. This leads to little to no feedback at all. That's why I present my scenario in this topic. It's a 10 players PvP map settled around the village of Girna on Stratis. A team wins if it reaches the enemy flag and holds it down for 10 seconds. It features mainly close and medium ranged engagements on a pretty small map. While most of the engagements will be infantry vs infantry, it also features a small amount of vehicles in the team spawns and the middle of the map alike. Both teams have a variety of weapons and attachments to pick from, but limited amounts punish the wasting of ressources. Other objectives, like additional weapons or ammunition in the middle of the map, the ability to capture a mortar for fire support or an armed boat can be secondary targets to get an advantage over your enemy. The main difference between this and most other missions is the decent performance of this map, caused by the scale and the overall heaviness of the scripts. I always had the feeling that this game kind of lacks maps you could just "play with a few friends", without having to deal with FPS-problems, though I'm not quite sure if this even fits into what ArmA-players want to do with this game http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=476370115 If more people are interested, I'm thinking about renting a server and putting this map on it, just to see how it works out.   18. I was playing around in the Arsenal recently and got the following clothing and weapon set-up. I thought they looked quite Scifi/Future based and could be used for a number of scenarios and perhaps they can be a enemy to the ETA - Extra Terrestrial Adversaries mod by Sabre_Dust‎.   19. Operation Ligneous Steed by: Monsoon Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share with you a mission of mine that has a rich history dating back roughly 2.5 years. It was my biggest and most ambitious Arma2 mission, but when the Arma3 alpha launched development kind of trailed off. With the recent releases and updates to @MEC & @CUP I had most of what I needed to port the mission to A3. Ligneous Steed is a product of countless hours of planning, tweaking, and writing between myself and my good friend Unfrail. I hope you all find it challenging, interesting, and most of all fun. Please enjoy! Briefing CIA operatives have gathered intel from tribal leaders in Takistan concerning the whereabouts of a missing US Predator Drone. Several sources have confirmed that the now defunct aircraft is located in a fortified bunker in a Takistani held airbase outside of Rasman. Due to heightened foreign political interests it is impossible to deploy an overt military presence to reclaim the craft. CIA resources are spread thin and they are unable to mobilize within the time frame required. You and your squad are assigned to infiltrate and destroy the craft to secure these technologies from Takistani Hands. An operative safe house in Falar will be the rendezvous point. A small stash of munitions have been stockpiled and should provide the tools necessary to complete the mission with effect. The local population in Falar are cooperative to most extents, but the surrounding settlements are not counted as friendly and extreme caution should be taken in transit to the objective. Your recommended approach is that of secrecy. This is a clandestine operation, and your presence will not be acknowledged by the US government. It would be best if your presence was unknown to the Takistani government as well, however you are authorized to use whatever force necessary to complete the task at hand. On lower end systems this could potentially cause the AI to turn into potatoes. Low server FPS situations may also delay or completely screw up the convoy because the AI are horrible drivers.
