  1. Hello, I am looking to make a combat Alts life RPG. I would like to do most of the placing of objects myself and a bit of coding but ill need quite a bit of help if anyone knows scripting and functions inside and out contact me through bohemia interactive messages. What I am looking for is someone who can code all the essentials for a very militarised Altis Life RPG. Some of the jobs include; Jobs; truck missions, drug runs, bounties, police/rebel/army/civs and many items such as spike strips etc.
  2. Hi! Guys I need help my first project. I am stucked at creating material for my model. When I apply just diffuse texture, everything works just fine, but I cannot get working other textures. I am currently trying out Super Shader, but with same results over and over again. When I apply RVMAT on my model, textures will not show up and lighting will mess up badly (I tried to recalculate normals). Do you have any idea what Im doing wrong? I have some experiences with coding, but Im pretty new to this kind of stuff.   3. So I'm trying to make a mission where there are 6 or so RHS D-30 AT guns firing into a bay where the players will be making an amphibious landing. The problem: The guns fire and get launched. Sometimes up sometimes backward, it is quite spectacular but not what i want. I have tied disabling simulation, which works but then they don't fire. Parameters: The guns need to stay in their placed position, and need to be able to be destroyed by the players. Not really sure how i can get these guns to be actual guns and not wanna-be spacecrafts. any help would be appreciated.

I want to edit the following things with a script: animTextureDefault = " "; animTextureDisabled = " "; animTextureFocused = " "; animTextureNormal = ""; animTextureOver = " "; animTexturePressed = " "; So let say i have a shortcutbutton with the idc 5040, is there a way to tell a script to change these attributes on the button?   7. Hi, I would like to introduce my problem, a few weeks ago I downloaded the arma3 tools, and installed it on my new pc properly. Every thing was fine except when I try to rotate the camera it was like really slow and laggy. I´ve been working in OB since 1 year on my other pc and I have never experimented something like that. So I just gived up and started working on my old pc again, but today when opened the OB it appeared the issue. It is really anoying, is nothing with my mouse. It feels like if I was rotating the camera but really slow but actually my hand is moving really fast to try focus the object. When texture is activated it is impossible to move, only works going up/down , left ect, but nothing with rotation. It happens even without any object loaded. I have try to uninstall several times and nothing works. Im lost

    New to modding

    Please bare as I'm new to modding, and don't know anything. So far I have Blender with Arma Toolbox and Arma 3 Tools. My scenario is this: I wish to make some grenade traps Can I use some ingame Arma resources and import them into Blender, so I don't have to make a grenade from scratch? If yes, how is the procedure? Can I use some jpeg image of a grenade, import it to Blender and customise it? How? Miraculously I mod these items, how do I make them functional and implement them to work as intended?
  10. Hello Devs / Supporters, I have huge Problems with the Arma3 Server Update on my Linux Servs, I have 3 servers down... OS: Ubuntu 14.04.5 x64 It hangs before the BattleEye Initialisation, after this point: MovesType CfgMovesMaleSdr load time 31503 ms At this point the server hangs... No Log Entry anymore :-( Logfile: thats the end I tried rename y/A-Z/a-z/ * every subfolder, but everythings was correct, I made it again, same failure. Server not starting.   13. Hi all. I am currently trying to make use of the parameters to dynamically add tickets to the Respawn Tickets Module so that players can adjust the number of tickets for their own session to control their overall time-frame. Currently, how the game works is based on sector Bleeding rather than actual respawn. Basically when sectors are taken to a certain percentage, the tickets will start bleeding. So player respawn isn't taken into account for the reduction in tickets. Module is set to 250 each per side, WEST, EAST. I used: // get the number from parameters // somehow get the difference, e.g. 500 - 250 = 250 if (isServer) then { [WEST, _difference] call BIS_fnc_respawnTickets; [EAST, _difference] call BIS_fnc_respawnTickets; }; But it seems that under a dedicated Server, the above command doesn't seem to reflect on all players, and most likely only on the server..... though I thought the command is supposed to work on a global level. And testing it out of the isServer if else statements, it resulted in additional of more tickets every time a player joins..... So I was wondering if anyone is able to explain how that function works or if I have used the wrong combinations... or I should have used either just the module or the function command. Thanks.

  15. I had Ace 3 installed on Arma 3 when using the Eden Editor. I then decided to remove it, meaning I could no longer open my mission, so I looked up how to remove Ace 3 from my mission. A post on a forum suggested that I should remove any lines on my 'mission.sqm' file with the word 'ace3', so I did without backing up the file, and now when I try to open my saved mission an error pops up 'line 0: '.rap': ' ' encountered instead of '=''. Help would be much appreciated, thank you.
  16. So i'm trying to make a script where a Crate is empty but has the "AddAction" command to give certain loadouts. However i'm trying to do it the easy way by exporting the loadouts from VA and just have the player call the whole script to give them the new gear...     Banned for no reason

    I just got Arma 3 yesterday for the steam autumn sale, I played a good bit of arma 2 and a lot of dayz mod. I immediately asked my friend who actively plays exile how to start playing it and after the game itself was done downloading I started downloading A3 launcher and the mods required for the servers. Roughly 6 hours and 50 GB later I was able to press the play button instead of the download button. But as I tried to launch it I received an error message saying I couldn't load a specific Hummer skin, my friend informed me this is usual and I pressed close. Directly after, before anything that resembled loading into the server started, I received a notification that said "you are banned" I had no clue what the could be for. But my friend and I decided we would try another server as it was very late and no admins on the server could help us out. We have since tried 2 other servers and both also gave me a message instantly saying that I was banned without even loading in. I would be very upset if an issue with arma 3 is causing me not to be able to play the game I just bought. Thanks for any and all help.
  18. I am currently making a mission file for my Arma 3 Mil-Sim and I want to limit the options the players have. I have gone to https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arsenal#Access but this didn't really help me any further. I have also searched the BI forums but still didn't find what I was looking for.   22. Hi all guys! First of all, I hope to be writing in the right place. Secondly, I must say that I'm totally new to writing a config on my own, I looked for tutorials and guides and I mostly "studied", let's say, on configs of other mods. Now, my intention is to create a new black wasp II very similar to the jets dlc's one, same model, textures etc. but with the anti radiation sensors of the wipeout, just to give sead capabilities to 2035 US Navy. I've succsessfully written the config for the vehicle. Now when i try it out, all works perfectly, i can detect enemy AA on the radar of the plane and I can also lock them on and shoot them. Nevertheless, while for example with firewill f-16 squares appear on the detected targets when looking through the targeting camera, this doesn't happen with vanilla planes and with my black wasp SEAD as far as i checked. Does anyone have any idea on what the solution could be? NOTE: I'm using SEAD missiles by VTI on vanilla planes and on my plane.

    Game Crash On Startup

    Everytime I open Arma 3 it crashes on startup. Can anyone help?

    Alright creating a workshop multiplayer role play and when I posted it to workshop for some reason my saved one on computer is a older version and did't save. Now I can't find a way to edit the updated version on workshop.
