  1. Over the past 7 years, Arma has been my go-to game. I have accumulated thousands of hours of gameplay, and created a great deal of mission based content. Over these 7 years I've been a part of numerous variations of these game modes. I've seen what works and what doesn't. I've edited their mission files. I've even been a senior developer for many of these communities. In the past few weeks, I began working on my own variation, from scratch. It's focused on quality over quantity. And so far it's good. Now I could do this on my own, but I want help. I want to make this something great. So, basically... Help Wanted: 1 Specialized Scripter 1 Person Specialized in UI 1 Specialized Texturer 1 Specialize Modeler The Mission: Create, from the ground up, the most immersive and fun Role Playing Mod out there. Features: There are a several key features that make this mod unique. One being ACE 3 implementation. ACE will be a huge part of this mod, whether it's EMS actually having to do something or if it's logistic. Another thing this allows us to get rid of it massive amounts of over-scripting. Most Life communities have massive amounts of scripts and mods for absolutely no reason, which causes performance to suffer. ACE mod comes with great functionality, including vehicle cargo, handcuffs, a medical system, vehicle keys, and much much more. A goal for persistence is to create actual physical garages in houses or in buildings, where vehicles will be persistent, as well as boxes in homes. Plus much more...   5. New website up! http://www.jtf16.org Who are we? JTF16 is a group of mature ArmA veterans, we consist primarily of Swedish players at this moment but that is something we don’t mind changing. We play co-op games (apart from a few special events) and we have our own dedicated game server where we also host our mod repositories and TS3. We host our own OPs two days a week and we try do joint-ops with a bigger groups as often as we can. The group has its own very talented mission and campaign makers and usually do campaigns that stretches over several weeks. So, what do we do?We play ArmA, that pretty much it, but we do it with a twist that we like to call “Milsim Lightâ€. We like to mix milsim with casual play, creating a fun and inviting environment for everyone involved. In practice that means that we do have a set structure and in-game we have a chain of command but without the use of ranks and such. What we strive for is to get some really good immersion going, but at the same time understand that we do this because it's fun. We are looking for mature players and we have set the age limit to join JTF16 to 25 years old. If you want more information on how to apply to JTF16 head over to the recruitment page and read there.   6. If this isn't the correct place to post this (I'd imagine it is) would a mod please move it to the correct sub-forum? As the title says, what's your best or worst experience in Arma 3? My best: I was playing the End Game public test w/ the developers. We were pinned down in the hospital, CSAT forces were every where. If I remember correctly, the people on my team were Ondrej, End Star, and a few other people. We were being suppressed from people behind the rocks, and me being a grenadier, I decided to use my UGL and see if I could take out anyone. A fired a few blind shots, no hits. Not a minute later, some of them begin to push up. I fire a few more grenades, one hitting zipper5 and killing him. We continued to hold our ground, but eventually the other team broke through and slaughtered us. In the next game, we managed to get our FOB up first and I hopped in one of the offroads headed to the objective where you kill the officer. We parked about 200 meters away from the compound. I was an AT man this time. I scanned the hills as we approached the objective, and mid-way to the compound, I noticed something on the horizon. It was an offroad. I grabbed my PCML and locked on, firing a rocket at them. The rocket hits and kills 4 guys. My worst was during Bingo Fuel, where I got the fuel truck after an hour and a half of sneaking around in broad daylight. I started driving to the drop-off point for Miller, and then a Mora notices me and blows up the fuel truck with me in it. GG.

The 2nd Yorkshire Battalion (2YB) is a group for people who want to have the realism of the military simulation side of ArmA but want to have fun and not have the realism ruin the experience. We aim to provide a mature, fun and interactive environment to focus on operations and gameplay over having pristine realism. We focus on fun, teamwork, tactical and realism in that order. What do we offer over other groups? We offer an organised structure for both in-game and out of game to avoid any confusion and show peoples specialties.   11. Ok so, about a week ago I get on to play Arma 3 after not playing for maybe 3 days, and I have no sound. Before I did and I changed nothing in settings and now magically I don't. I can hear people talking in global and etc, but cant hear things like bullets, vehicles, character sounds and all that stuff. I have checked the sound settings in volume mixer and nothing is wrong, I have also checked ingame sound settings and all of them are up. I have reinstalled the game 2 times, deleted the Arma 3 folder all together, and nothing helped. Please help me with my problem. :( Update: I have sound in other games on steam, and I have tried using other headphones and tried using no headphones. I can hear others talking in global and etc. so it has to be something in the game. Update: I have Nvidia drivers, and all of mine are up to date.

Hello, I just bought arma 3 and i started playing the campain and everything was fine but then when i went into the multiplayer i joined a server and lost all the sound (menu music, sfx ...) i then disconected frome the server but the sound didn't come back and i had to restart arma to regain the audio... I tried changing the cpu count and all but nothing changed and it does it on every server ... I loved arma 2 especially for it's multiplayer :wub: and now arma 3 looks epic but i can't experience it without any audio! Anyone know how i can fix this ? <_<
  13. I know about setName, and setIdentity, but I'm wondering how one might be able to change the name of a character when you hover over them. They would say "Rifleman", or "Team Leader." I know that when you place the units under Men (Story) their names show up as their names are, but I'm wondering how I can get a character to have a name show up as well, so that instead of "Grenadier" or something, it shows "Cpl. Dunn" or something like that.
  14. This issue has really been bothering me as I'm trying to play with an Arma 3 group I am a part of. The issue is that essentially when the loading bar on the top reaches a specific point, the game will just freeze and then proceed to crash. Before crash - http://i.imgur.com/w8IcAlX.png Crash - http://i.imgur.com/u0XD4BD.png I've done various things, such as reinstall ArmA 3, reinstalled all of my mods (note that @acepa is just a modified ace folder), run the game in administrator mode, run it with compatibility for Windows 8 (even though I'm on Windows 10), verified my mods, change the game from full screen to full screen windowed; practically everything I could think of. My specs are: Windows 10 OS Radeon Sapphire HD 7970 GPU [About 2 Years Old] Intel I5-4690K CPU (I don't overclock, I just got it because it was cheaper) [1 Year Old] Asus Vanguard B85 motherboard [Three Months Old] 1x 8GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM [3 Years Old] 1TB HDD [3 Years Old] Although this is irrelevant, Corsair CX600M PSU [Two Weeks Old] Not too sure if I can check error messages, granted that there are logs for crashes in Arma 3. On top of that, I'm not sure if it is a hardware or software issue, but I prefer it to be a solvable software issue, as I don't really have the money to buy new parts. Would prefer to have this fixed as soon as possible, such as before this Friday. Cheers. Edit - Vanilla Arma seems to work fine, so it may be an issue regarding the mods.
  15. Ok, I know ARMA 3 is still getting better and better. BUT! Me and friends are talking about how games are just going down hill from here. Gta5 sucks, Call of Duty is completely ruined, and all games are getting futuristic. Arma is the kind of game you can play for HOURS. But its getting futuristic. All im hoping is that ARMA 4 will be set in a modern year like 2010-2018. Or even set in WW1-2 or Vietnam. I know Bohemia made ARMA 2, but the community needs is a ARMA 2 with better graphics. Thanks for hearing me out community, leave some suggestions on what you want in ARMA 4. Or even future ARMA 3. Please no hate, but you can leave what you think on this comment. (Not hating on ARMA 3 at ALL! I have too many hours on this game)
  16. So I get the Defense Module working with someone's method, my question is how can I make it spawn enemy unit like cars, armors. (the old method no longer working) Anyone know how to do ? Also how can I spawn more enemies in one wave ? Thanks ~

Bohemia Interactive Studios presented the AAF and so we took it upon ourselves to tell their story. Show that a Third-World military can still hold their own in the world. We use a few modifications to help enhance the realism and fun such as incorporating the FN FAL into our arsenal and the M60. We have a wide array of uniform combinations with certain clothing mods that help enhance our concealment from only ourselves as we try not to hit each other with Thermal Optics.   22. Hello, I was wondering if there was any progress made towards being able to cancel actions such as reloading a rocket launcher, or switching weapons while moving. I recall a developer saying that it was difficult due to their animation engine, but I was wondering if there was any official progress on it, since there has been a mod allowing you to do it since 2013. The 1st Joint Expeditionary Force is an ArmA 3 Realism Unit that isn’t tied to any armed force, country or set of equipment. We aim to vary the Arma 3 experience by looking at different eras of expeditionary warfare, setting appropriate objectives and adopting our equipment to complete them. To achieve this we will bring together a wide-range of content putting it to the test through objectives and game dynamics. We have a public server online 24/7 running custom missions designed by our Mission Design Team so that players can get a feel of how we operate prior to sending in an Application. Along with that we hold our Private Operations every Sunday at 7:00pm (UK Time) for our members. Individual Interoperable Groups (IIG) Within our unit we have an individual group structure so that if you merge with us or want to form your own group to play with your friends you may do so. The only requirement is that it must be formed with a minimum of 8 people and a Sergeant must register the group. You can speak any language internally of your group, host your own group training sessions, organised group operations, etc. however you must speak English over the radio during joint-group operations.
