    Eden 2.0

    Eden 2.0 Introduction Eden just got upgraded. Now with inspector view, easier access to tools. With this flowgraphs are introduced. Visual scripting that you can use to create advanced missions/systems. This project goal is to update eden to become a better editor. More things will be added on request of the community. What is flowgraphs? Flow Graphs, in which you connect individual actions and values in a specific order. That order of execution is what we call the flow. If you have used Unreal Engine before, you might find they are similar to the Blueprints visual scripting language. Download Steam Workshop Dependencies/Client/Server If you want to use flowgraphs, eden 2.0 need to run on both client and server. All tools leave no dependencies and all changes you make is saved to the mission file. Tutorials Flowgraph Tutorial Add a tool to the menu Features FlowGraph system. Inspector view. Tools.   2. Hello, I thought I'd come here for assistance since people are experienced in terrain builder. I'm currently having issues exporting my terrain after having added custom tree's. When I try to export it it gives me this error: ERROR: there is no config.bin/cpp found for \plants_winter\models\t\t_picea1s.p3d I was also wondering if there's a way to "import" objects placed in the eden editor on the map to terrain builder.   3. Hello. I noticed 1 problem with setObjectTexureGlobal command (with .paa format in general in steam workshop...). For example my friend hosts a mission, so he is the host. In mission there are some objects, where I added path to the texture (icons\MyTexture.paa). When we start the mission - sometimes, but not always, I see error message - cannot load texture 'myTexture.paa'. And if we continue to play the mission, there are some objects on the way, which becomes custom texture with setObjectTextureGlobal command (executed on server only, evidently...). But it doesn't work too (Well if at mission start there was an error, then nothing will load with setObjectTexture command). Exception is only with hint parsetext and so on, where all works fine. Also the .paa-images by Host-player works fine. Only if you are client, there is that error. But it's not always. And this problem appears only if you download the mission from steam workshop. If you use .pbo file, which is in your MPMissions - there is no problems with textures. Anybody know maybe some solution to this..?
  4. Hello ArmA 3 Community, I don't really know where to make this post, this is some what a question but more of a suggestion. The topic title is Mass 3D Editor, what I mean by that is allowing a group of people (2, 3, or 4) to connect to a mission that is in the 3D editor and help adding, editing, or removing objects and what not without having to save, send files to some one else, etc... When two or more are connected and if the host wants to they can give permission to allow the others to help edit the mission and this will give them their own courser and allow them to move to other sections of the map to start adding, editing, and remove stuff, etc.... Any one else think this is a good idea? Do you think this is possible? I know you can have multiple users connected to Zeus, maybe a mod would enable people to do this in multiplayer servers?

  9. I know about setName, and setIdentity, but I'm wondering how one might be able to change the name of a character when you hover over them. They would say "Rifleman", or "Team Leader." I know that when you place the units under Men (Story) their names show up as their names are, but I'm wondering how I can get a character to have a name show up as well, so that instead of "Grenadier" or something, it shows "Cpl. Dunn" or something like that.

  11. Hello! Let's say I wanna make a helicopter extraction, according to some tutorials I watched I've got to sync the heli's waypoint "load" with the units waypoint "get in". Although, if I try to sync these, the only option I get is "sync to waypoint activation" and not just "sync to". So how could I get this done within the Eden editor? Thanks you very much in advance.
  12. How do I group tasks in the new Eden Editor? Thanks you very much. edit: [RESOLVED] Anyone with a similar doubt, since I am not clearly sure how it works nor is it very visible; I've found the solution and this works for me. I click on the task, hold control and drag it to the other I want it to be affecting; then I also sync it. Grouping it doesn't seem to be visible, but syncing is. Do not know which one of these is causing it to work, but incase you have a similar doubt feel free to count that in. Thanks you.
  13. Would it be possible to manipulate certain entities directly in the new 3D editor instead of with the init field, i.e. turning on the lights of a vehicle, sling loading a vehicle to a helicopter or adjusting the stance and behaviour of a unit etc?
  14. Hello guys. First of all, thanks for the addition. It will be a very useful tool for us who edit and create game modes. Well, that said, i would like to begin with a suggestion which already exists in Zeus, that is the customizable crate/container/ammobox. While i was checking on Eden, i didn't find any means to do it like we do with Zeus, can only do that like it is on the 2D editor. Could that be possible? A way to create a custom ammobox with the Eden? Thanks for reading, and again, thanks for the incredible tool you're developing.
