  1. What do you guys recommend for the best postional audio in arma? Should I use the onboard sound with my Z97-A or the included USB soundcard on the 363D? Should I turn surround on? There are 4 settings: 2 channel, 4 channel, 5.1, and 7.1. All I really care about is positional audio, specifically for small arms fire.
  2. Hey guys, I'm brand new with recording and I was wondering how I could pull this off. I don't intend to stream, just save files locally. At most I'd put them on YouTube once in a while. I play Arma with the game sound coming from the computer speakers and comms coming through my headset, both direct chat and TFR. My headset is a USB one (green and pink cables going into USB jack). I just don't know how to get game sound, direct chat, and TFR into one clip while keeping the sounds split between my speakers and headset while I'm in game. I don't like having game sound and comms all out of my speakers or out of my headphones. I like having that separation for some reason. Push to talk is mandatory since my house is rather noisy, and I'd greatly prefer free options but I could spend a little if I absolutely had to. Recording isn't a big deal, I'm not a streamer or Youtuber so spending a lot of money for this isn't worth it to me. Anything more than $50 is a deal breaker. I have a 970 so shadowplay is an option. If you guys need any more info please let me know. Thanks!

The OR would be a nice addition to Arma for choppers and such but personally it's too bulky for me.
