  1. There is plenty of documentation around on the IRA I believe, there even is an older mod for ArmA 3 on this website, but it has been abandoned a long time ago and is hopelessly outdated. It could serve as a great source of inspiration however because it has 2 excellent factions, the IRA and the UVF (Ulster Volunteer Force, far right pro-British enemies of the IRA). https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/172346-northern-ireland-insurgents/

There are some modern shots in here: http://www.vice.com/en_uk/video/free-derry-the-ira-drug-war

Their uniforms are usually woodland camo parkas or green wool jumpers, with berrets and balaclavas or scarfs and aviators to cover their face. Trousers can be blue jeans or combat trousers.

These are some of the weapons they imported in the past and which surely are still in circulation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provisional_Irish_Republican_Army_arms_importation .

  2. From the screenies it looks absolutely beautiful, and the custom buildings really finish it. I'm not sure where the problem is so i can't really say much about that, except for that I hope that you give us another release soon, finished or unfinished! Don't let a project like this take over your life and take the time, the public will understand if something big like this lasts a while. Good luck!

  3.

Looks like some kind of woodland marpat, with some more white in the mix.  I'll see if I can find  a reference camo to make a pattern from.   I might be able to do a shemagg in that color pattern.

They could be given the offroad and toyotas easy enough.  Maybe give them a T34?

Great, very glad to hear! I think they use the woodland digital camo ( http://cdn3.volusion.com/ezxrc.xcwfb/v/vspfiles/photos/130204-2.jpg?1392210957     -    http://demandware.edgesuite.net/aamm_prd/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-joann-product-catalog/default/dw1bd6ab12/images/hi-res/11/1153105.jpg ), with a triangle with the YPG flag on their shoulders. I have seen videos of YPG with t-55's and t-72's captured from ISIS, I don't believe they possess and use them at a wide scale (if they did, they wouldn't build their own tanks I imagine) but it does mean they could be added to their faction

    ).

  4. Not sure in what way the YPG units can be made to set them apart from other armies.  They don't really have access to alot of vehicles.  Do they have some kind on unique garb?

A lot of YPG forces I've seen wear this camo:

Apart from this pattern they are distinguishable by their patches and their red or colourful keffiyehs: http://www.stuff.co.nz/content/dam/images/1/4/7/9/m/1/image.gallery.galleryLandscape.600x400.1479k8.png/1427398562815.jpg

Above all it is still a militia of course and there is no standard uniform afaik, but they definitely do have a unique look. I think they could be presented very well in the game as an INDEP faction, seen their cooperation with both the SAA and the Iraqi Peshmerga.

They make use of self-fabricated tanks and toyotas.

New vehicles look absolutely smashing btw.

  5. Normally there is nothing wrong with offering suggestions to a mod maker. Small mods by unexperienced mod makers can really benefit from suggestions, if they're open to it. However, RHS is a big, experienced mod team with tight, set plans. They have said numerous times that they don't want to hear any more suggestions/requests, so if you do continue to keep suggesting and requesting features, you're just a bloody dick. Shut it and let them work on their plans, don't try to deviate the mod makers from them.
