[VS Code ~ SQF] Visual Studio Code - SQF Language
emrak replied to Armitxes's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : Community Made Utilities
This is a great plugin. Thanks so much armitxes! I hope you keep adding to it as new commands come out! Also, do you know of any way that this could be incorporated into a full-fledged IDE such as VS 2013? That would absolutely make my day year decade. Thanks again EDIT: Actually, I may have found the way... https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/integrate/explore/explore-vside-vsi.aspx If there's an easy way to convert what you have into something that VS 2013 could use...that would be amazing. -
Poseidon: advanced text editor for Scripts & Configs
emrak replied to Tom_48_97's topic in ARMA 3 - COMMUNITY MADE UTILITIES
Hi there Tom! I'm doing a fresh install and noticed this in the patch notes: Removed: Installer (will be rewrite later) Since "install.exe" is now removed, how do we install? Also, the README.txt refers to the file "edit_file_assoc.bat" which is also missing. Please advise. Thanks! :) -
Thank you for the speedy responses! I'm new to modding Arma 3 and I made an assumption that when I loaded the "Altis" map, that it was a collection of terrain + objects and not one single large object. Obviously this assumption was incorrect. Is there no "editable" Altis map available? Thanks again

Stats Server and Client API with support for SQL, and NoSQL databases
emrak replied to micovery's topic in ARMA 3 - COMMUNITY MADE UTILITIES
This is, by far, one of the best developments to date and certainly the best solution regarding DB connectivity. Well done micovery! Are you still supporting this endeavor? -
Gotcha. I'm very familiar with Blender, I've just never done a mod before so I didn't know if---since the building is the terrain (so to speak)---there was a "terrain builder" that allowed you build up walls and floors and so forth.

OK, so it sounds like L3DT is the way to go for building modeling? Just to be clear, I'm not saying that I already have a building made (I don't), I mean to be asking, what would be the best software to use to make the building itself? It's not going to be a skyscraper or anything, but it will be rather large. :)

I apologize for threadjacking, but I cannot find out how to get permission to create a new post. :-/ Can anyone please recommend software suitable for this scenario: I am creating a custom mission using a large custom building. 100% of the mission will be inside the building. Aka, the building will be the "terrain". L3DT and World Machine do not seem suitable for this task; they seem more geared towards natural terrain. Thanks for any advice! :)
