  1. Yeah SP will make life a bit easier, and you shouldn't have any issues there either, especially placing them via editor, I did some reading up (all info was coming from terrain makers) that the max object count when making a terrain (aka a map, i.e. Altis/Stratis) is 4,000,000 but I don't know if that applies to the object count of everything else that isn't terrain.

But you may as well just do it, and if there aren't any issues, then there you go, if there are, then you know a rough limit on objects :p or you did something wrong somewhere.

the max object limit you are talking about is in terrain builder, its 5,000,000 there until terrain builder crash. i hope there isnt that limit in the 2d editor or via script.

    thank you.

  2. I've never had to worry about object limit, partly because I usually keep it simple, and secondly because why even have that many objects. But what I was getting at with script vs. editor is that the script has to be setup properly so that the objects are continuously created for each new connected client (assuming MP mission) which brings FPS down tremendously after a few clients come in, and if they are spawned via editor that issue is of a lesser priority as every connected client would have to load those objects anyhow but they are "native" to the mission not "added" in via script.

And I don't know if a "X objects allowed" message will popup, because like I said, I don't think it is realistically attainable, and there isn't a need for that many objects in my opinion either.

Could you be more specific as to what your doing, that would help with the answering of this question, I mean are you just placing 1000's of soda cans around the map, making a city, what?

    ah ok, thanks.

i want to make a detailed city and around the city i want to make jungle there.

oh and my mission will be SP. i think there wont be FPS problems there.

  3. Well you can place however many objects you want, techincally speaking, but realisticly, static objects don't use too much power overall, but I don't think there is a definable limit. It also depends on how they are all spawned in, either in the editor or via script.

does it make a difference if they are spawned via editor or script ? if yes, what difference ? FPS or in terms of max limit ?

im sure you know the group limit in arma 3 when u have too many units and you want to preview your mission, a window pop up with the message "Only 144 groups per side supported". such a window wont pop up with a message like "Only XXX objects are allowed" when i use for example the 2d editor and place alot of objects all around the map, right ?

  4. like I said, why doesnt Tonic make his mod more like A3L. Id rather play a Tonic made A3L than a sketchy, never know when its gonna get shut down, A3L

tonic does not make his mod more like A3:L because he is not a stealer. if his mod would be more like A3:L, it would include alot of stolen content.

and it is up to tonic what he makes with this mod (as long as it is legal)

  5. Man I've been waiting 3 days to get my application accepted and now you guys are trying to get the game destroyed. I don't understand why anybody cares, if some of these people really wanna pay money to get an advantage in an otherwise free game then thats their problem. Even if they did use models from other games and stuff I dont see why it matters when the mod is still technically free. I mean I was playin altis life earlier today and it was askin me to donate the whole time. The point is that it can be completely free if you want it to be so who cares. You guys might see this as you taking down some evil group of thieves but I see it as a bunch of jerks taking away a game experience I was extremely excited about and spent a lot of time filling out an application for. =(

wow, just because it took 3 days for you to write an application and an gamemode which you like means we should stop reporting them? go cry anywhere. we wont stop until A3:Life is completly shutdown. they steal other work and earn money from it, even if your application took 1 year, even if you would marry A3:Life because you like it, we dont care. fact is they steal other work, fact is they earn money with stolen content.

  6. funny, A3:Life released a trailer for theyr public beta version.

now, read what they wrote in the description of the video:

this video was created using content of arma 3 life ? this video was created using content of other mods, games and other game mods!

  7. Stolen from CityLifeRPG? stolen from TCG? Lol, I think it's quite the opposite. This thread is getting funnier by the minute and full of shit. I'm enjoying this :bounce3:

and what about this ? ripped model from crysis 2 ?

Video 1 of Arma 3:Life where players drive with the bus from crysis 2: youtube.com/watch?v=Rgm16WdHb2k

but eh eh, this is not real eh, this is just a illusion eh eh eh :D

PS: crytek has knowledge about this and will (hopefully) take action. one of the devs wrote me:

Thanks for the info. Removed this from public view as it doesn't need to get more attention than it already is.

    Cheers,

    Adam.

and this my friend is not a illusion, this is the end of your mod.

i contacted paypal and they answered too (its german since i live in germany and wrote the email in german):

and this will be the end of your "i earn money with stolen content" action.

idk what will happen to you, i am sure your mod will be shut down sooner or later since companies and paypal are investigating it and even BI, i am also sure the money you stole from people will also 1. be taken or 2. will given back 3. will be secured

these things are sure now, but i ask myself what will happen to you, i bet you will suicide when u get post from lawyers or court :D

    my last words:

    R.I.H Caidan

R.I.H A3:Life "Devteam" (or better: steal team)

R.I.H A3:Life "Mod" (or better: compilation of stolen content)

    (R.I.H = Rest In Hell).

  8. Here is a list of addons they currently use:

    RH M4 Pack

    RH Pistol Pack

Kiory's Random Hat Madness (Source files)

    FLAY's HangGlider

    Blastcore

TFAR (From what I have heard nkey doesn't mind)

    CBA (Inherited from TFAR)

    CSA38

    MBG Buildings 2

    MBG Buildings 3

    MBG Killhouses

    MBG Island Objects

    smd_sahrani_artif

BWI Addons - Aircraft & Vehicles: T-6 Texan II Pack

FEMAL3 (Not sure if it is in use but it's in the addon pack)

Pretty much the civilian jets mod:

    Ivory Aircraft - CRJ-200

    Ivory Aircraft - T6A

    Ivory Aircraft - ERJ 135

    Ivory Aircraft - Yak-42D Clobber

This list does not include models that can be taken from another game and then of course Altis life mission code.

thanks for the list. its a pretty huge list, but it will grow when we add the stolen models from other games and/or other game mods.

as i said earlier: one of the bus in A3:life is stolen from crytek´s crysis 2.

i´ve heard that the boats in A3:life are stolen from a ship simulator.

we should extend the list by adding the stolen content from other games.

  9. we should make a list of models, addons, mods, scripts etc that has been stolen from other games and post it here. it should include a comparison of arma3:life content vs the stolen content, the original author/company name and/or game name. i make a sample:

what has been stolen ? a bus model.

from where does the original model come from ? crysis 2

who are the developers of crysis 2/the bus model ? crytek

proof / comparison of original content from original origin vs arma3:life :

Video 1 of Arma 3:Life where players drive with the bus from crysis 2: youtube.com/watch?v=Rgm16WdHb2k

Video 2 of Arma 3:Life where players drive with the bus from crysis 2: youtube.com/watch?v=KlFWN1sQKeI

Crysis 2 original shot from story mode: igcd.net/images/035/946.jpg

where to contact crytek ? here: crytek.com/contact

then we should contact the affected company and/or person and tell them about A3:Life and what they are doing with theyr content.

  10. since no one seems to speak about one of the bus in a3:life mod:

one of the bus is stolen from crysis 2. too bad that everyone does not see it or ignore it. are you blind or what ? where are your eyes ? why no one speak about it ?

crytek has strict rules about taking theyr assets and porting it to other games. they are very strict, you are not even allowed to use crysis 2 assets in the cryengine 3 sdk.

go to crydev.net and read theyr EULA.

now lets get to the proof that they stole the bus from crysis 2:

Video 1 of Arma 3:Life where players drive with the bus from crysis 2: youtube.com/watch?v=Rgm16WdHb2k

Video 2 of Arma 3:Life where players drive with the bus from crysis 2: youtube.com/watch?v=KlFWN1sQKeI

Crysis 2 original shot from story mode: igcd.net/images/035/946.jpg

i contacted crytek and paypal both, both answered me, they are aware of this problem now and they will investigate it and (hopefully) they will take actions but when i read crytek answer, it seems like that i am not the only one who reported it to crytek.
