ArmA 3 stops recognizing joystick as controller

I also have this same issue. Doing turning the power saving feature of windows 8 off from the registry didn't do it for me. I would advise everyone who is having this issue to check out the bugtracker for it: feedback. arma3.com / view.php? id=14924
