    ACRE2 Public Beta Release

    Just did a bit of more testing. As I said jaynus earlier, it's way better now, I don't have to use any sound equalization option or anything to make the game playable for me anymore. However it's still not as loud as it was on acre1. I still notice a big difference in volume sound between acre plugin being on and off (even if the person speaking is right next to me). So for me, I still feel it's not as it should be, but it's pretty darn close. Just as I said jaynus, thank you and Nou for all the awesome work!

    Got some good news on my end. I got a workaround to fix the low volume issue, not sure if anyone have the same options as I do, but I'll try to explain. Just to note I have a onboard sound card that uses realtek drivers. 1st of all I've put my TS playback mode on Direct sound (didn't do anything alone for me but it worked with others so it's a possible solution to everyone else). Then I went to the windows sound icon on the bottom right, right click it and select playback devices (not sure if it's the right name as my windows is in a different language) click speakers and click settings. Select the enhancements tab and put a check on the loudness equalization. just so you know how it looks like, just check that last option From what I understand, it makes loud sounds not so loud and quiet sounds louder. With this, TS volume remained the same with or without Acre2 plugin running in game for people close to me, just like I wanted, but it did make Arma3 more louder and I had to mess with the sound volume again (It's now at 5%-10%), but that wasn't a problem at all. However I think this is not a definitive fix , Acre1 didn't need this to work as intended. But with this fix it's working pretty much as it did in Arma2. Hope I helped someone with the same problem. Thanks to everyone who helped me directly, and to all who reported the issue and tried to find fixes for it. And cheers NouberNou for the mod, hopefully we helped you improving the mod with our problems :D

    Tried it yesterday and didn't change anything for me, still with the same problem here. But if it worked for you it might be something related to that that's affecting everyone else. If I have time I'll do some further testing today

    Ok some quick update on my end. I went to Serjames' 3Commando Brigade server (thanks again to serjames and Apollo for the help) to test out if it was a TS server issue. Sadly it was not the case. We tried changing different settings (including changing playback mode to direct sound), their sound remained the same, mine was still low. I also tried changing TS 64bit version to 32bit but no luck there either. Lastly I've installed and tried Task force radio, and there's no issues with that plugin. I'm running out of ideas of what is causing the problem :(

    I'm using 3.0.16 on windows7, and having the same issue. Probably today I'll hop on serjames's server and see if we can find if it's TS server that's causing these issues.

    This isn't the case on the server I usually play, I think only me and a couple other guys have this problem, but then again it can be a different issue with the same result.

    I've got a question I'm using the 64bit TS3 plus 64bit Acre2, Is everyone who's having the sound volume problems have the 64bit too? Or it's happening also with the x84bit version? I think that won't make a difference, but I'm desperate I'll try anything. EDIT: I think he has the same problem as me, yeah I'm at 10% sound volume in game, TS playback settings is at +20dB so maxed out. My TS volume on windows sound bar is at max also. And it's still hard to hear anyone in game even if they are right at your face, the problem goes away when acre2 is not sync in game (role selection, briefings, when mission ends, or simply when we got out game closed) so basically TS3 sounds as intended when it's not using Acre2

    I have the exact same problem. Just to clarify TS sound it's fine while outside of the actual game (basically when acre2 is not active, in briefings or when the game is not even open the sound is loud and clear like it should be) but once acre syncs the volume goes down allot, people 3 meters away are no louder than a whisper, even using any available radio the audio is still low and hard to hear. Right now my arma 3 main sound is at 10% to be able to understand anything. I often play Arma2 with acre(1) and I never had these problems. Btw just some things I've tried with no sucess. Reinstall TS and ACRE2 (tried to change the TS settings folder from the default place in my documents, to the install directory to see if there was something from a older version of TS settings messing it up, but the problem remains) All my sounds are on max On TS settings, the voice volume adjustment setting it's maxed out too (+20 dB) I'm really struggling to fix this one, any help would be great Thanks in advance
