    Good to see you, new friends! Version 1.340 These days I've been working hard on improving the normalmap of +120 character faces. The result has been spectacular, it has improved the definition of the faces in ambient light by 180% more detail. Thanks to this I've been able to re-activate the skin reflections as any Arma3 face with a very similar quality. Of course there is some polishing to be done (as always), but the detail is very significant. On the other hand, as @zukov commented, the camo faces were hidden and it was difficult for some editors to work with them. I changed the system by activating all the faces, and simply adding a PBO called characters_hidden_h.pbo that hides all the ones that should be hidden. If you want to see them, just delete this file and you will have access to all the faces. It shouldn't give any errors or problems. New story characters! Armaverse And to close this update, I've started a new project in the MOD, it's about bringing these faces to life in the Armaverse. So, I'm creating story characters that can be used in missions or campaigns to create new and exciting scenarios. In addition to the character, I am adding a brief description of them, to give possible ideas of what or who they might be. Pin Mei: VIPER trainer. Veteran of war, one of the most recognized instructors among the VIPER, although he is more famous for his bad temper. Morten Gregorius: SPETSNAZ medic. Combat medic, with strong nationalist convictions. War crimes attributed to him. Bill Gudiki: OPFOR Gendarme. Corrupt to the core, old sergeant in the gendarmerie. Linked to local mafias and syndicate activities. Ben Tailor: FIA BLUFOR anti-tank. Mercenary and lover of his MRAWS "Doris", he has a strange relationship with "her". Lia Icebreak: CTRG Sniper.     Well, if you want to use the painted faces, they exist but they are hidden just like all the CAMO in Arma 3. It's a bit annoying to have so many different faces, so I deactivated them so they are hidden. But they are still 100% usable.     How to do a face conversion from A2 to A3? Some people have asked me where is the difficulty in taking some textures from Arma 2 and adding them to Arma 3. Well, behind this mod there is a lot of technical and artistic work. Given the amount of faces that existed, I looked for a way to automate the process to some extent and thus be able to work with such a volume of faces. It is not a simple copy and paste, as it requires a total deconstruction of quality and detail in the faces of A2. So, I'm not going to add many more heads to the mod, maybe even separate the women from the men (Sex segregation!) in order to get a substantive decrease (Men 338MB + Women 105MB). On the other hand I have been reflecting on the differences between Textures and Models, and I have found that it is much lighter a 3D model compared to the textures needed for a single face. 1 character face texture = 2 MB vs. 6 human heads models = 2 MB I hope to have something ready soon to upload, hugs to all the big heads!
  6. Terrains of Bohemian Interactive for Take on Helicopters ported to Arma 3. This Mods is an adaptation of the old ToH map for Arma 3, but trying to preserve the old spirit of the map. Without major modifications, with new functional additions and without pretensions to create a new map and if a reliable adaptation.     Green, how i want you green Version 1.320 With the arrival of spring, it's time to add that sun protection for sensitive skin. This year, green and black are the colours of choice for aftersun. Added (temporarily visible) facial camouflages for all male faces. Also improved the quality of +100 face textures (CO). Many of the NOHQs still need to be improved, but it will all come.

    The Women's Olympics Version 1.310 A new version of ToH Characters has been published, women are winning the battle of the faces! This version includes 8 new faces and 2 heads of African and Asian ethnicity. In addition, 2 women's bodies are included for testing purposes. The woman in underwear and the basic NATO soldier.     The truth is that I do not believe in women so stylish, will be my preference as a man or maybe I have more than 45 years and I'm married (believe me... watching my wife get out of the bath, makes me see women differently!) I am guided more by the references I have of real women in the army, since ArmA3 is a military game. This is really what I am looking for, a real compatibility with all the objects of Arma3, that is why I am basing on the Bohemia Interactive system and not creating my own system of faces/heads and bodies. That has its limitations, such as position of the animation bones or size of the necks, hands, height, ears, skull, feet, etc.. But believe me, I'm looking for complete compatibility. So just modify some models of uniforms to have almost the whole set of soldiers' suits. The problem with the Hands, perhaps lies more in the texture than in the model itself, they are somewhat smaller, but the texture does give a hard and wrinkled appearance. Tattoos, whether male or female, are usually attached to the heads. It's something rare to use, you require a unique texture for only 1 character. I have some tattoo textures started, but I reserve it for main story characters.

    The problem for the hair, mainly is that each head has a color, you have to think of some system to not have to add 1 hair with 10 colors. Hats and glasses, there is a lot of mod that adds this content and is compatible with these heads. Zombies? OMG... the truth is that I have never looked at the script of a zombie face. I remember seeing zombie women in Arma3. I don't discard it... I was thinking about some camouflage textures... maybe it would be a good option for all the faces. But we're back to the issue of not having 1k faces on the list. PS: You can take any of the textures to adapt your own version. You could even try to create a "custom female face" setting so that you can simply add it to your profile.

    Dear ladies & ladies! Version 1.300 I've been waiting a few weeks for the fruit to be ripe, and I think it's time to harvest. This is a new addition to the ToH Characters package, including the heads of the women who appeared in Arma 2. They also include some of Take on Helicopters and Arma 2 OA (these are extremely complex as they are Arab women with scarves covering their heads). In total 37 new faces are added, including some repeated versions with subtle changes that required the Arma 2 campaign. I don't include women's bodies (for now). But as you can see, the look of the clothes is not so problematic either, and once in play you don't look so much. It also includes 5 models of women's heads, which adapt very well to helmets and glasses. And they are fully functional. I'm not including hairs/wigs either, but maybe soon something like that can be added. It's not perfect yet, but little by little it will be possible to correct it here and there. Thank you very much to everyone, and enjoy them healthily. This update is dedicated to all the ladies and sisters in arms.

    I've tried image enhancement AI, and they definitely don't work for textures. The final result is much worse than hand work, even though it's more laborious.

    Hi @Valken, thanks for the comment, I also adore the Razor team. Althoughit would be more incredible to relive the ArmA 2 campaign in ArmA 3. On the subject of CWC, the cards, unlike ArmA 2, are very small, 256x256 pixels. It could be done, but the result could be very poor in quality.
