thanks for the suggestions :) so I save roads as image file then blend onto my sat image? hmm ive exported shapes to image but all I see is background colour when I preview it in paint.net

not sure what config.cpp I'm looking for here?? if its for my map, then it doesn't have that entry. I can change :- viewDistance preferredObjectViewDistance in the bulldozer profile in docs but they don't affect ground textures.

FFS! after searching pute for all configs..changing view settings but getting nowhere.....its in bulldozer! press F1 and set view! :wub:

hiya, hope you don't mind me trying to get answer here as I'm getting no response on the WM guest forum. to the WM users here..... I'm trying to output a pic of the 2D view. seems like bitmap output options are limited in this. if I use a colorizer it flattens the pic. [ I'm after a overhead topographic picture] WM appears to be a very powerful program but what I'm after is simple. am I missing the obvious here?? please help! ** SUSSED! 'save viewport as image!!! typically I had to find answer after posting here! please delete thread.

no mate, I'm talking about the editor.....bulldozer. I want to remove fog so I can pan and see ALL the terrain I'm working on. fog in game is great!

seems like every program out there has to be bounced around before it can be imported into terrain builder. I was hoping world builder could export straight into TB...tried using .png and .tiff but they just give me massive spikes! is there a compatible export from WM to TB?

why is your P drive set up as P:A3/A3 ? a3 folder in a3 folder?

did you walk away and have a cup of tea when 'extruding' came on? it can take a fair amount of time until its done. and yes it will say 'not responding' if you click it. -

globalmapper will download terrain data and sat image giving you a perfect fit. slow program though.

I'm getting this error.... 'no entry config.bin/xcam_olg/xcam_plain.col or disabled'

mikeros tools have overwritten and wiped your PATH. he says he has fixed this, alas not the case as it still wipes my path because like a idiot, I done a system restore....this restored my original [very long] PATH...DIDNT DO A BACKUP TEXT COPY....tried another tool install, then it wiped path again! done a system restore to the same previous date but this time I didn't get my original path back so had to restore to an earlier date which worked.

when I say path, I mean your system PATH Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System advanced tab then PATH paste what you have there.

have you updated mikeros tools recently? i had this trouble where the tools changed my PATH and i coudnt instal P:

ive had my sat image whitened out by sunlight. when testing now i have to select the cloudy icon. sorry that this is not too helpful but ill be watching this thread with interest. :) -

not used TP yet but ive had issues with mask colours..ie 0,255,1 instead of 0,255,0. maybe worth checking? -

'Indeed the challenge is what makes it fun' ??? please tell me your jesting here! ;) ive just got some clutter appearing in my map...by more luck than judgement I fancy. everything about TB is a right pain in the bollox! I bow down to every terrain builder out there who has got a map up n running my kingdom for a detailed tutorial on pond/river placement now. -

well ive moved them in their own data folder and that seems to have done the trick :) thanx for your help lads..now for clutter! does clutter need its colours on the mask like textures?
