  1. That chance is anything but "odd" - problems with PW6 are quite common. I put 10 bucks on the root of the problem being PW6 - probably because one of the mods you're starting has a dependency to AiA still configured in PW6 so it automatically gets started with the others (your screenshot supports this thesis as AiA is listed there as one of the started mods). PW6 is a 3rd-party tool and we can't provide support for problems caused by either the PW6 team or the way it gets used by its users. A few rules to live by when bug hunting and suspecting a specific mod: 1.) Get the mod directly from the source, not via a 3rd-party tool. In this specific case, that would be the MEGA or the GoogleDrive mirrors as we as the authors have full control over what files are available there and in which state they are. We can't guarantee this for a 3rd-party provider like PW6, Steam Workshop or even Armaholic. 2.) Use a launch tool/method that gives you full control over what mods you start ArmA with. If you don't know how to do this with PW6, use either the BI launcher, ArmA3Sync or command-line options. 3.) Only start the game with the mod you suspect being the culprit, and do not ever, ever, ever use your full mod collection for testing. If you suspect a specific combination of mods to not work together, only use this specific combination. In general you should use at least mods as possible when bug-hunting. 4.) Don't report bugs in forums, chats or the like - they tend to get overseen there. Instead, use the bug report tool provided by the mod author. In this specific case, this would be http://bugs.cup-arma3.org
  2. As you seem to be the only one with that problem, I assume it is a problem on your side, possibly a corrupt download or extraction. Try redownloading and extracting CUP Terrains.
  3. Not to mention the release post: And now, to quote myself from another thread (oh, the irony):
  4. A3MP didn't put dependency entries into missions - AiA TP did and CUP Terrains does so as well. We missed a few of those dependency entries from AiA TP in the current release and will address this in a hotfix - the data are actually all there, the game/mission just thinks they aren't.
  5. I suggest you use SMD Sahrani A3, it already includes all the changes from SMD Sahrani A2 and is specifically made for A3. Implementing the upgrades done in SMD Sahrani A3 to BI Sahrani included in CUP is a long-term goal, though it has no high priority. There is SMD Sahrani A3, after all...
  6. Uhmm..... did you actually download it? Chernarus Summer is included in CUP Terrains.
  7. Yes - as mentioned a few posts earlier, we forgot two entries for the backwards compatibility, which should only affect a minority of missions created with AiA TP. These two entries will get added in the next patch.
  8. That is a PwS problem and has nothing to do with CUP Terrains or backwards compatibility to AiA.
  9. Thanks, we will take care of it for the next release.
  10. Yes, you can remove it from Panthera. It'll probably not be included in future releases of Panthera, anyway.
  11. Yeah, the panelak houses are still a bit WIP, NonovUrbizniz/CiforDayzServer was working on them. @eltyranos: Yes, that is a long-term goal of CUP Terrains. It's a lot of work, though.
  12. Hi OMAC, please open a detailed bug report at http://bugs.cup-arma3.org Thanks TheConen
  13. Read the documentation provided by tupolov: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iXjN0pLlbJ51n5e4SoKR00491WkbHpbhFxbVyTEkwxk CUP provides functions to place vehicles and players on the LHD, so there is no need to fiddle with deck heights.
  14. @eh chaser: I don't see any incompatibility there. The units list is something XCAM has to take care of (like NeoArmageddon said), the floating buildings are obviously a bug that you should report with a detailed bugreport (including the building's classname) on http://bugs.cup-arma3.org @whiztler: Sorry, we overlooked that one, will be fixed in next release. You can still play the mission for now with the method described by tebbbs.
  15. We're thinking through some possibilies to achieve this, maybe (and only maybe, this is not a promise) for the next release.
  16. Hi mal7house, map_for_briefing.p3d is an object from ArmA2 that was not present in the RC. It is however in the current dev and of course will be in the final version. If the map depends on other maps like Chernarus and Zargabad, you of course have to load these, too. I just tried Isola Capraia with the current dev version and it works flawlessly. Don't be so quick to judge. I don't like lifers either, but prejudices don't get us forward. It's quite easy to come by such a sum if collecting donations for a whole year (a dedicated root server is around 70-200 bucks depending on hardware), and if those are real donations as defined on the BI FAQ page, there is nothing bad about that. Like I said: I didn't take a look at that server and if they just call it donations, but in reality you get something back for it or are expected to donate if you wanna play with them, then it's not a donation anymore and they totally deserve to be punished. I just wanted to emphasize the difference between donations and monetization as we recently had to deal with the same problematic in CUP - CUP doesn't allow its usage on monetized servers, but I'm not sure if we could forbid the usage of CUP on servers supported by donations even if we wanted to, I'm no license expert.

Just to point this out as we recently stumbled over the same problematic in CUP: donations != monetization. I didn't check if the server mentioned above collects donations or is monetized, but if they only collect donations, they are fine to do so - a lot of communities fund their server costs through donations. The difference between donations and monetization is further explained here: https://www.bistudio.com/monetization/faq#c5
  19. The FAQ in the first post got updated regarding the usage of CUP on monetized servers.
  20. Hi wiki, none of our content is exclusive - everything we release gets released under APL-SA and is free for everyone to use. We do include donations from the community if we can - as long as the original authors agree to have it released under APL-SA. This also applies to the CH53-E which is a port of the CH53-E that was released as an addon for ArmA 2. Hi pydrex, like mentioned before, CUP is released under APL-SA. This means that you can use every asset of CUP to your liking as long as you credit the original authors and release your modified assets under APL-SA, too. For more information on ArmA licenses visit https://www.bistudio.com/community/licenses (this graphic is espcially handy)
  21. No worries, we will see Chernarus in A3/CUP Terrains - just not Chernarus+, the version improved for DayZ.
  22. @tebbbs: This is a known bug that is already fixed in the dev version. @sargken: Like aliascartoons said, Terrains is independent from the other projects. If the time schedule fits, we will probably release them together, but that's not something to be expected in general. The first release of CUP Terrains will not include the JBAD buildings - this is a long-term goal after the foundation is laid.
  23. Hi Tonto, as a CUP Terrains developer I can tell you that your map will be nearly 100% compatible with CUP Terrains - there is just one thing. Somewhere in your map you referenced the file "ca\plants_e2\clutter\c_raspBerr_summer.p3d". Now the correct filename would be "ca\plants_e2\clutter\c_raspBerry_summer.p3d". AiA TP had - for whatever reason - both files in it, CUP Terrains will only have one of them. Greetings TheConen
  24. Have you considered the fact that the version currently publicly downloadable is a 4 months old release candidate which is nowhere near a final version and that the main purpose of its release was to collect bug reports?
