What? :confused: :confused: :confused: What PAAs do you specifically want? They are all in seperate PBOs... Never heard of any map_data folder, especially one containing "all game paas" If you are speaking about the "Data" folder present in each PBO which contains the PAAs.... By "map" what are you referring to?

The walls with the stone "lattice" type deal on takistan, with the diamond shaped holes in rows, about a foot from the top... you can shoot/see through those, its detecting the bottom of that part as the hitbox thing to use instead of the "real" top ("it" being your mod, the guy climbs into the wall and glitches"

Hey guys, come on now... the thread topic :mad: In all seriousness though...;) @Darkside I think the most "relevant" thing for pond objects in that type of environment would actually be like swamps, but yeah I guess those would be some type of pond object, or they could pull an altis and just sink the ground in. -

@maddogX I think audio could just as easily be jungle or rainforest audio, supporting the theory of a pacific or other similar map... jungles are full of birds, noises etc This would sort of fit with the varying grass stuff... at least like, jungles have alot of ground foliage , I guess it could have different colors or something Also by fresh they can just mean never seen before/new... which honestly is the most likley meaning, I can recommend this as a native english speaker :) And since we have never seen a real jungle/rainforest in arma or ofp (from BI) ...

Did Toadie ever end up uploading that mod for the RHS m16s guns sound and anim... I remember him saying he would release it when he got back to his house or something on his youtube video. :confused: Edit: But probably they are just gonna integrate it with RHS, since that's seems like a good idea. -
Razor let me give you the advice that you should learn all of this before you start trying to make your "idea" for a mission/mod here: 1) How to use the ArmA 3 Mission Editor (You will find many tutorials on these forums, and youtube alike.) 2) How to script for ArmA 3 (You will find many tutorials on these forums, and youtube, as well.) 3) The role of intellectual property and respecting others work and liscences, which is very important if you are creating content for arma 4) How to then combine these into what you would like to create You are welcome.

I am not new to ArmA (if this is what your suggesting)... also not sure how piracy is relevant here, but thank you for the explanation As clearly I was not aware of SVNs role in arma, you would know better since you use it, probably for some development stuff as VTN do or something... Thanks. Anyways, back on topic of the thread... @Leet When you have the time, just post what you need me to get (logs or some other thing to demonstrate this) to show you my issue with lag when firing, thanks. -
Last time I checked though, I believe it was in a quite broken state, it worked to some degree but you couldnt attach certain ones or something and it wouldnt work with arsenal.

Ok. I assume something like the helicopter bench anim could be used for a humvee/jeep type seat... Actually, could somebody make a video or something just showing all the ffv animsets we have (At least I assume they are new animation sets... right?) By that I mean like... the types of FFV that can be done, the anims of sitting , standing , proning like the boatetc I think this would help show what is possible... If I am even correct in my assumptions its an animation

May I ask to all of you more informed about the engine and scripting properties of this feature, is it currently possible (in engine terms) to do something along the lines of generation kill type sitting in a seat of something like a humvee, and aiming out the windows? (or at least some specific limited space, or is it not possible to limit aiming dimensions?) Thank you.

If I remember correctly, Ranger specifically asked how to do things that were in direct violation of a licence (along the lines of "how 2 extract and edit this mod shit from this pbo", then I believe after people told him not to, he did it anyway in full ignorance and then distributed it... hence the ban. Do not quote me on this, I am just recalling this from memory. -
Sound Issue - Fps drop when a Apc shot

How would the sample rate somehow lag the game??? Isnt that rendering done on my sound card? I have a Xonar DSX or something, good card in my opinion, Anyway tomorrow ill try some of these recommended possible fixes and tell you guys if any of them work. -

Why would a sound card cause the game to lag though? Also that seems like a hell of a lot for a glitch only happening in one game... arma is probably at fault here, though I dont doubt one of the options you have posted may work... this really shouldnt be nessecarry in the first place. Also, anyone know what effects on the sound that changing "sound samples" will have? -

Weapon Inertia & Sway Feedback (dev branch)

Yeah weapon sway should really just not be happening prone, really at all, unless.... unless you suddenly aim up higher from prone, like for instance... If you are prone aiming at a moderately straight level with the ground... sway should be reduced significantly.. pretty much none... If you suddenly swing your gun 2 feet off the ground and aim it up at some guy in front of you while you are still prone, then I can see some logical sway... you just had to move your elbows probably and maybe even shift your weight or something. (By sway im speaking about I mean those big sways, not like some tiny little one that is natural for your characters breathing etc) -
Good to see there are some real pros at this stuff, maybe one day all this stuff can teach BI how to do a proper armor system or something. I remember before when I didnt read Olds post at all in utter ignorance and i was like "lol ur releasing ace 4 or something m8" .... hey , if you guys are helping to fix arma or guide it towards the right path, its worth just as much :)

Psi dodged the question of "did you pay 30 dollars" or something similar pretty damn hard on that steam... he kinda just changed topics. Honestly at this point I believe his "role" or rather, relevance in the whole situation is really "over".... He has spread the idea that A3L is commiting legal infractions to his community.. whether they believe him or not, though it may cause them to take "sides" or whatever bullshit, the word is out and im sure some petition sigs are coming in... but the rest of his internal community drama is kind of not relevant to the legal side anymore, I would go so far as to claim that the "benefit" of it has been achieved(sigs for the petition and spreading the word), and honestly there could start to be negatives if the forums commnity invests itself to hard in the newly created internal drama of his channel, we may see people making forums accounts just to defend A3L, etc etc.

PuFu what are you saying?:confused: I have (had) downloaded many Garrysmod addons through SVN back in the days I played those games... on the facepunch forums it was common to have a SVN repo for it, at least for beta versions. For large mods too, people would DL 1 GB+ of mods on SVN commonly, and update this way as well. Honestly I have never even heard of SVN used for arma. Additonally, I would looking forward to a response from Leet on this matter, as he was the one who I originally asked about his own actions concerning the aforementioned SVN. -
