This http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=22561 and this http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=22662 have been in the dev branch for weeks now. Surely you devs cant just let this slip into the next stable update! Also it seems that the static GMG's zeroing is way off. is this dev branch only?

I think this is a fairly cool idea: disarming someone by shooting their hands. but its like a...25% chance or something for them to drop it, if shot in the hands. Whoever was shot would just have to pick their gun back up again to continue fighting. Also I hate it when I shoot at someone and their gun gets in the way. Wouldn't it be nice if that gun could just break instead of it being their protective shield? -

Hey! I just wanted to make a thread about an exploit I found recently. I'm not sure many people are aware of this exploit. It is an exploit that basically allows you to look through walls and see what's on the other side. To achieve this, you must put your character's back standing against a wall (of pretty much any building in Arma 3) with a rifle, and look up in first person. People would be able to use this for room clearing; to see who or what's in a building before breaching it. I believe this should be fixed asap, as it ruins some immersion and gameplay aspects of the game. I have thought of an idea for fixing it. As you can see it looks like he has moved about a metre. This is the result of the turning pivot point being around about where his toes are on his left foot. I believe that by making the pivot point below where his torso/centre of mass is, you wouldn't be able to get your character into walls when you put your back against them. Though I'm not entirely sure if this would fix it. Maybe it's something to do with the walls themselves, or maybe the collision boxes of the players. Note: This exploit does not appear in Arma 2.

i would like to see the ADF as the new blufor faction. why? - theyre close to the pacific, which is apparently the new terrain location - theyre technically not nato, so they wouldn't interfere with the US army's faction - they've never been in an arma game before - australian accent :cool: - unique weapons and vehicles (probably) i know im being kinda bias since im australian...but oh well -
Ever since i finished downloading the update for 1.32, starting up arma 3 would result in a crash followed by an error popup saying 'Error compiling shader PSThermalSuperAToC'. never had this problem before. can anyone help? i really want to check out this new update. ---------- Post added at 13:44 ---------- Previous post was at 13:01 ---------- okay i fixed it, all i needed to do was verify integrity of the game cache then restart my steam client. it works fine now:cool:

ok, this is weird. I click on a few KOTH servers on the server browser and a popup comes up and says: You were kicked off the game. (BattlEye: Admin Kick (BEC: Your player name cannot contain any of the chars:{}/\^'"|)). what is the deal with this??? my profile name happens to have a ' in it and now im restricted to just a few servers? I tried making another profile of the same name but without the ' in it, and joining the same server in a different profile makes you start at level 1. i'm currently like level 20 in KOTH (in the one server that lets me in) at the moment. I don't want to have to start again. can someone please explain this unfairness?

from a dev branch change log a few days ago: The new walking speed (as seen in bold above) is really starting to bug me and i dont want it to make it into stable. It is way too fast and un-relaxed. It breaks the immersion for me when i see it. Will this ever be fixed/restored?

I really like it so far! just a suggestion: can you guys make switching from primary weapons to pistols take longer the heavier they are? eg, switching from a sniper rifle to a pistol should take longer than switching from an SMG to a pistol. -

Is it me or do the first person footsteps in dev branch sound really loud? they honestly sound louder than gunshots also, the door gunners in the ghosthawk no longer have their proper helmet :(

thanks for the advice but i tried that and nothing happened. it just gives me a steam popup saying 'validating arma 3 file (1 of 1)' and its stuck on 0%. hurrrr what do i do.

ever since mondays update, i cant get arma 3 to start. it just gets stuck on the "preparing to launch arma 3" steam popup and doesnt do anything. am i the only one having this problem?

actually i believe that's BIs fault, if you put on a CTRG uniform it has the same result. not sure if fixing that will fix the dpcu though.
