Germanwings Airbus A320 Crashes in France

Indeed a very sad event. Perhaps there was a hostile takeover? ISIS? I'm not sure this was caused by mechanical reasons...

The Russian government is now indeed openly supportive of Nazis and Fascists. The parties in the 'Conservative' forum in St. Petersburg deny the Holocaust (or claim the actual deaths are far less), openly praise Hitler (Greek party even has a pseudo-swastika flag and Nazi greeting) and call for deporting all 'non-Europeans' and even non-Aryans. The best part is that the Russian media is completely quiet about the whole ordeal. I wonder where the Donbass veterans, the so-called 'fascist fighters', were that day.

Meanwhile, Navalny is to have his jail term turned into a real one: (RIA Novosti) http://ria.ru/incidents/20150313/1052427880.html#ixzz3UGsdvIP3 I guess if a murder of Nemtsov does not ignite any reaction from the people, then the Russian government might as well do however they please. Edit: This whole story of Putin being ill, of course, could just be another fake by the Kremlin in order to move attention away from Nemtsov's murder and whatever else they have planned for the opposition.

Yet another example of Russian authoritarian regime: http://www.zona.media/story/ivanovo-280/ A 20 year old girl was fined 100,000 rubles for reposting a message titled 'Message from Ukraine to Russia' on the 2nd of March, 2014. She is now considered an extremist, because, according to court, the message 'calls for an overthrow of the constitutional regime in Russia, led by V.V. Putin'. Being on the 6th month of pregnancy, this will make it extremely difficult to receive child support; getting a job almost impossible.

Putin has not made a public appearance for the past week. Photo provided by Peskov to show that he is 'well' appears to be dated 4-5 March... Kremlin also struggles to name a date for the next public meeting. Vladimir Putin health fears: Kremlin denies rumours President is ill after he cancels second meeting in two days

The strangest people are pro-Putin Russians living abroad. I knew a family that believed 'Russia is for Russians' yet lived in Europe. Others that I met talked about evil NATO or EU, again living in Europe, including Ukrainians (!) (this was after Crimea). I asked them if they would exchange their Ukrainian passport for a Russian one, but didn't get a coherent reply. The best example, though, is a guy living in London, quite rich, who said that Lukashenko and Putin are the best leaders in the world.

More proof Russia is a police state: (Echo Moscow) http://echo.msk.ru/blog/zoya_svetova/1509816-echo/ In short: a man was arrested by the FSB for apparently 'being a spy'. The whole case seems to be built around him sending a letter to a Swedish company looking for employment. His wife was told not to talk to journalists, otherwise she faces jail for releasing 'government secret' (the same law that got Svetlana Davydova under FSB detention). She also claims that their apartment and car was bugged, as the FSB seemed to know their every movement, dialogue, concern...

Here's an idea, why not encourage trading with EU and become a partner? Why is anything involving NATO, EU or the US - suddenly an enemy of Russian state?

It isn't a surprise to anyone - the Crimean medals are all dated 20th February. We just want to hear it the man himself admit his crime. Irregardless - shooting occured a whole month after 'local population' (we both know who it actually was) started raiding administrative buildings and arming themselves. So you saying 'it all began like this' and then post a video dated 11th May - a pretty clear example of propaganda to me. Of course when you show a video of a some armed man shooting into an angry crowd and then come to the conclusion that Kiev is a Nazi junta - doesn't do much to convince me.

Unfortunately it 'all began' the month earlier, Russian 'protesters' and militia taking over administrative buildings in Donetsk, Luhansk, Sloviansk, Kharkiv...

    Ukraine General

You have your timeline of Ukrainian conflict wrong. What bloodshed on the territories of Donbass or Luhansk before the 'separatists' took control of local administrative buildings, grabbed weapons from the armory, kicked out the police? 27 February - Russian special forces led by ex-FSB Girkin raid Crimea Parliament building, forcing all the Crimean politicians under barrel of a gun to run a referendum. The Russian military in Crimea could not leave the premises of their bases, unless given specific authorization by the Kiev government. I'm sure you also saw those green men, later recognized by Putin as Russian soldiers, walking around the streets of Sevastopol, forcing Ukrainian military to disarm themselves, and blockading the local airports?
  17. Sub-Human

    Ukraine General

Well, yes - I guess Putler got a little afraid of what Europe and US do to him once he annexes more of Ukrainian territory. So he introduced Russian militia led by FSB colonel instead of regulars. I'm sure people in the Donbass are glad Putin started war on their territory.

Pointing out Russian invasions is russophobic propaganda? I thought it's called history... Putin and Duma politicians are not very fond of it lately...

So Putler just made another stupid remark that will, no doubt, be used as evidence on his Nurnberg trial: (TV Rain, Russian) Putin talks about special operation of returning Crimea. In other words - it's not 'referendum', it's not 'will of the people', suddenly it's the actions of Russian special forces.

Boris Nemtsov - Anti-Putinist - Shot and Killed

So now official story - Nemtsov 'offended' Muslims and got killed for it. Dadaev refused lawyer, admitted that he organized and orchestrated the entire murder. What's interesting is that Ramzan Kadyrov, who usually would claim "barbaric killers" (adressing Chechen extremists), was completely quiet on the social networks. Then as soon as Zaur made his confession he called him a hero and a true Muslim. Update: Kadyrov now gets 'Order of Honor', soon after his statement. Just like after the murder of Litvininenko, when Lugovoi got a seat in the Duma. Another update: Dadaev refused to admit guilt in court. http://echo.msk.ru/news/1508942-echo.html According to him, he and the other suspects were beaten and tortured in order to make a confession.

High oil prices and credits by Western banks. Russian debt increased by almost 8 times (in 1998 Russian banks had a debt of 18 billion USD, by 2014 it was 192 billion, companies like Gazprom and Rosneft have their debt equal to their net value). Oil prices by almost 10 times. Now oil prices have fallen and Russia is under isolation (so no more loans for Putin), how does 'adequate president' react? Pull troops out of Ukraine, try to solve problem diplomatically? No, he introduces 'anti-sanctions' that only help to increase prices for the regular citizen... So much that the Duma now says 'anti-sanctions' are unconstitutional and should be removed. It is equivalent to Kim Jong saying, 'no more aid from China and USA, our citizens either eat North Korean rice, or no rice at all!'

Boris Nemtsov - Anti-Putinist - Shot and Killed

One of the suspects, Zaur Dadev, was part of MVD in Chechnya for a good 10 years. In 2010 he even received a medal for bravery. Now please tell me this man was acting independently... (Financial Times) Two men charged over Boris Nemtsov murder

Astral4eg, does it ever bother you, that your dear leader Putin has made referendums in his home country illegal but is an active defender of independence movements in other countries? How many referendums have taken place on the territory of Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union?

Boris Nemtsov - Anti-Putinist - Shot and Killed

This is the exact same scenario as with Politkovskaya. Chechen extremists. As it turned out, however, they were supplied information by the Anti-Terrorist organization, the FSB and the police of Moscow. The FSB has cooperated with Chechen terrorists on several occasions - 1999 apartment bombings, Nord-Ost. By the way - the excuse is that these two Chechens made advances towards the girlfriend, Boris told them to feck off, they followed him and killed him. Kremlin needs to make up more interesting stories!

In that same city, Perm, there was another memorial dedicated to the prisoners of the Gulag system, in the form of a monument with the inscription 'For the repressed' or something along those lines. The prison still stands and perhaps operational, but not too long ago they did remove or replace this monument leaving only the inscription 'For the memory of the guards'. So it's not the first time there has been history revision. Perm was the gateway to Siberia and its camps and naturally should be a historical object for Stalinist repressions. Ironically enough, the administration of Perm claimed it was the cultural capital of Europe. Nobody here took it seriously of course, but to so blatantly remove its historical significance? A shame indeed.
