Do you also want to see caricatures over race or mental and physical invalids? Do you think it would be funny? Quite on the contrary. I don't follow Western media a lot; but surely if a caricature on either of these things would have been outright banned (or the artist fired from job after his superior got a lot of flak from the public or the government) that would have made news everywhere. In case you didn't quite catch the comparison - understandable, all Putin apologists are like this - you justified ban on Russian caricatures by saying 'some things are banned in the West too'. So can you justify if Putin set up death camps by saying 'North Korea has them too'. It is not excuse, and you're purposefully changing the conversation to shift attention from Putin. I wouldn't be surprised if you have a portrait of him in your home. It's a tradition for vatniks, but if they can afford it...

Sorry, I didn't realize being homosexual was a choice. But religious - oh no, they were born with it, we cannot judge them. As for feminists and vegans, I'd like to see an example of this. I wonder how would you feel if tomorrow Putin set up death camps across Russia? Would you justify it by saying North Korea has been getting away with human abuse since its inception over 50 years ago, it's only fair Putin can do the same?

That is direct interference with a UN resolution from 2010. That Russia supported and voted for. Putin is desperately looking for allies, as Iran and Cuba have began aligning with the Western world... Speaking of interference: (Russian) Russian WW2 museum depicting US and British allies banned The FSB directly ordered that a photo-memorial depicting not only Soviets, but also the Allies, would be banned. Interference with basic historic facts if I ever saw one.
  4. That's true. If the developer releases a content-free game filled with bugs and immediately moves onto the next title, that is their choice. The question here is the customer base, what will they think? About extended development - that's where the money from the sales comes from, no? The whole point of selling a game (or any product) is not to break-even but to generate profit. Anyways, we can agree to disagree. I'm not donating money to a relatively rich and successful company, and I hope they're sensible enough to include all the DLC content in the next expansion pack.
  5. Well, as of now, some people don't have access to the assets at all. That's true, but only for the editor. If you try the same in a multiplayer scenario you will not be able to shoulder your weapon with a DLC-only scope. Or put on the new ghillie suit.
  6. It was a donation. Why not release a number of campaigns with the DLC and giving a low-poly model for those that didn't make the purchase. Nothing is less immersive than, 'Sorry, you can't mount a scope on this rifle... You didn't pay extra for the full game you already purchased!'

Caricatures have been de-facto banned in Russia even since Charlie Hebdo. Russian politicians believe 'offending the views of religious' is unacceptable. For example, http://tass.ru/kultura/1893855 Russian adaption of Tannhauser has been banned from a theater, apparently for offending the views of Orthodox Christians. The director was fired and now some oligarch with zero background in art controls it. His first decision? To 'reconstruct' the theater despite the fact that works costing millions of US dollars have already took place ten years ago. Here Russian Minister of Culture says he will not tolerate 'anti-Russian' films: http://lenta.ru/news/2014/12/10/rashka/ A film festival in Russia has stopped recieving funding and thus closed directly because of this decision.

Sorry for poor wording, by 'higher focus on co-op' I meant 'higher focus on co-operation between teammates', as Insurgency is often played (and can easily be won) without communication between the team. As for AI support, well, that is and should be very low on the list of priorities.

The AI and AI's UI needs major improvement

There isn't a lot of feedback from the AI, which is why (partially) it is so frustrating. An AI should report that it spotted a target, is providing covering fire, is suppressed by enemy... and that will at least explain why it isn't following your orders. The other, of course, is the reaction to being fired upon. An AI should get to cover immediately upon being fired at; rather than their slow turning to spot the target and return fire.

I believe the developers stated that modding will be fully available at or after release. Here's hoping it won't be a semi-arcade title like Insurgency and a much higher focus on co-op.

(Russian) Russian MVD are preparing for Maidan Across the entire territory of Russia (from Crimea to Vladivostok) the interior MVD forces took part in a mass training exercise (2-10 April) that simulate 'the recent events in a neighbouring country' - down to burning tires and protesters throwing heavy objects at the military.

(BBC) Russian nuclear submarine fire 'put out' in Arctic dock Hopefully that is true. Although the Russian government has a habit of hiding such information from the public eye.
  13. Roleplaying and realism do not go hand in hand in this game. Majority of the people playing Altis Life have nothing better to do. I suggest stick with a clan for co-op missions or find a good Patrol Ops server like Zeus.

Before and after Stalin, the USSR was still a dictatorship. They still killed their own people en mass, they imprisoned political activists. There was still concentration camps. There was still heavy propaganda and a cult of personality (Lenin and communist party). If you look at China, it was similar (even after Mao). Killing protesters with tanks, heavy propaganda, political prisoners, cult of personality. Look at other socialist-communist states - in Asia, the Americas. Were they any different? I agree, the period of Stalin's rule could be classified as 'Stalinism', but that does not change the fact that the communist regime has never worked as designed. That should tell you something.

Because the US has a history of involvement in both global and local affairs. Sometimes rightfully, other times not so much. Other countries, including NATO allies, Germany or UK, on the other hand, haven't contributed much to wars or revolutions in the post-WW2 ('modern') era.

(Russian) http://news.chita.ru/71585/ Iosif Kobzon, Russian Duma member, told teachers to be 'more tolerant and remember executions of World War Two'. Over 60 teachers across 4 schools in the Zabaikalye Region have quit their job due to not receiving a salary. This is the same fecker that complained that he can't go to Germany to get his cancer treatment, as a result of the sanctions. Russian politicians are one big joke.

The Russian Duma did say this import ban is 'unconstitutional'. The Russian government is looking for excuses to lift the 'anti-sanctions', since it hurts their economy (the massive inflation of ruble began after the ban took place).
