I dont like twitter because how is organized.. i much prefer the linear discussion on the forum, however i had a look and: i think he is talking about me ahah :lol: , im sorry toadie dont feel guilty for me i know your work requires so much time and effort, for me its easy to say "fix that and do that" i know you have to do all this massive work alone. I made that detalied post because i really like your weapons pack mods and i just want to give some help to improve them ^_^ in detail i can say that i care to much for the sight problem because (from my pont of view) i think It is breaking the realism with so much visible impact on screen while aiming we play arma3 for realism and not for having so many fancy skins like counter-strike in this case skins=animated useless sights (im joking :P in fact when i first saw that rotating sight on the mp5 i was like :o :o impressive ) what I'm trying to say is that your work is so good that when there is something that I do not like on it I care much more to fix it :D but now dont worry about relase timing and being guilty.. just keep your great work as you wish because its YOUR WORK not mine :rolleyes: and let me know when you can an answer on that https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/163106-toadies-smallarms-and-animations-for-arma3/page-115#entry3010088 Sorry for all these big detailed post now im feeling guilty too: StationMax -> :868: :681: <- toadie2k

How bad is when a forum loose is main topic and goes like that just for a little thing... i and many others we all here to ask some questions about the mods (main topic) and we all loose "priority" just for that steam workshop thing.. and of course toadie answer to that just to stop this situation and he got no time or wish to scroll all pages to answer our mod related question... :( I personally think that an author of a mod have all his rights and reasons to publish or not publish his mods... answer or not answer questions because he is not obligated... but I get nervous if i have to think that I received no reply just because he dont see posts for a "distraction" As I just said I do not expect an immediate or obligate answer but I want to be sure toadie ha seen my post because I wanted to ask him an important thing thanks ;) https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/163106-toadies-smallarms-and-animations-for-arma3/page-115#entry3010088
  3. @toadie2k Thank you for reply, I really appreciated. Obviously I am not happy with the answer, but I can well understand your reasons.. I know what you mean. So at this point I wanted to ask you if the source for all wepons packs are available to download or they are "private", mostly I would like to have the .p3d models fully configured and unbinarized because i can figure out myself the rest i think.. like the config.cpp, custom textures, custom sounds etc.. just to try helping you with this fantastic project. I can even figure how to create or refining the 3d raw model i think but i never imported something in to the object builder and configured it to export as ready .p3d for the arma3 engine... meaby you can tell me where to find some tutorial for doing that part ... and of course all this only to help you and if I were to succeed in something i definitely reserve to you all rights anyway if i cant have the source files tell me at least something to help me starting on that and I'll try to make something of my own from scratch... but I believe improving an existing project is more logical. If you do not agree with my suggestions do not worry just let me know. Thanks again for your work and for your efforts.

Hello toadie2k first of all i want to say that i very like your work and a big thanks for that... but (for me at least) i think this type of "solution" is ruining the gameplay on the guns every time i see the sights i cant ignore that aligning thing i just dont like that, i also like the animated sights but not with this side-effect... this is a general overview of the problem: I traced some red lines to mark the differences on the sights also i traced some 3d model wireframe that i think has to be redone with more poligons or just smooth it a little (just in case if its possible) (in the first screenshot the last image in the second line is not the "awm" is the LAR15 AMR my bad) so if you can please made an alternative weapons pack (if you want) with the non animated and alligned sight or meaby add in the same pack the same weapon twice with the alternative configuration... and just my personal preference but i think that the 50m sight for mp5 family and 100m for g3 family will be great as default sight, they are commonly used on fps games as standar sight for that type of weapon And yeah of course when you will find a way to make animated sight work without problem or BI will implement the necessary code there will be no need of alternative pack or configuration... let me know please what do you think about that.. and keep up the good work :)
