Here is a "black crush" problem. Screenshot (bad quality, check video in original quality): http://i.imgur.com/rmNy2ye.jpg Video: https://mega.nz/#!zcsnnTzD!yz_J4cor6leUkActHS_SAuTJju9Fwvph_6K9Hy6OhGU

I think the fastest way is to delete all entries, than owerwrite them with bis original entries and then owerwrite them with fixed config. But that looks really crazy.
-
Thank you for your opinions. Well, there are more than 60k lines of code to revise. Even with diffs search when we delete config entries we will need to check original bis config not to break it. It is a pity, but understand that we should respect Opticalsnare work.
-
I didn't know much about configs when started and now... it will take too much time to revise all of the entries. Of course next time I will make things thoughtful. Btw, my revision is based on Blastcore 1 not Blastcore 2.
-
I didn't plan to release it and for me it was easier to modify original files. Some of the entries should be removed/rewritten to fix issues.

Hm, one more holy war needed?

road runner, you can check deviations in 3 years. And there was no so huge decrease of players. I think we can neglect deviations in statistics connected with players real life problems, because statistics is collected in 3 years and number of players with such problems is ~ contsant on equal periods of time. That is why I think that average online players = players interest in game = players feedback on changes in game. Every update* should increase "online players", otherwise updates is a failure. UPD: *every huge update like DLC or smth similar. Oh and I don't play much since 1.60 that is why for me visual update = Tanoa update. May be I am wrong in this and visual update was released in one earlier version. Sorry for that.
-
Something is really wrong. Jan - 22559 ... Mar - 21733 Apr - 20292 ... Aug-Sept - 21522 Just cannot see "steady increase", sorry. Statistics shows everything. Btw, that is offtopic, if you want to discuss it lets go to PM.
-
You are wrong. Check charts one more time. There is no "steady" increase since January. Numbers are not steady. Don't forget about Arma 3 free weekends in May and other monthes. I think no, if we check 2013-2015 there was not so huge decrease than in august/september 2016. Of coure, everything can be. But Tanoa in July and then... this.
-
If we check steam charts http://steamcharts.com/app/107410we will see that Tanoa update wasn't succesful. The most huge decrease since Arma 3 launch (absolute change, not percents). Visual changes may be one of the reasons.

OCAP - Op Capture And Playback (AAR/Replay)
ruPal replied to Gudsawn's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Really good thing! Is it server intensive? Any FPS drop? What maps are supported? -
Btw, there is a problem with fuel and ammo trucks. There is no light from fire when vehicles destructed at night.
-
Problem is not in FPS. Problem in particles disappear just from the beginning of smoke appearence. After 1-3 seconds it is fine.
-
besides all above problems, there is something wrong with particles effects. Try to through smoke grenade and look how smoke particles disappear. The same for explosions.

Increased small arms dispersion (RHS only)
ruPal replied to ruPal's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
If you ask me, I think all arma weapons are too accurate. That makes possible to make one shot kills in 500m with iron sight. -
My fear is they don't know how to fix the lighting. They had more than a year to work on it and now we have what we have. Just want to say that they had enough time for that. Great lighting for Tanoa and bad for anything else. Maybe when they sell enough copies of APEX DLC, they will look into that problem. But no one gives any guarantee that lighting will be fixed in the future. Like it was with Helicopters DLC, AFM still very bugged.
-
That is 1.62 bug. I had the same problems on altis with some trees. Also some trees renders different very ugly way - like a lot of squares.
-
I feel your pain. Have stopped playing Arma 3 since 1.60. Tried three times after 1.60 but couldn't used to it. 1.62 didn't fix that for me. 2000+ hours in Arma 3 and less than one since 1.60.

"Zoom fix" for VTN (Veteran) mod
ruPal replied to ayavadim's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
With zoom enabled you will get situations when eye zoom better than optics zoom. It is fine for iron sights and collimators. -
There is a "black crush" on heli, like on MVA monitors.

Omg, nothing will stop BI to switch to 2D graphics in *.** version of the game. And then you will tell us - thats fine, I like it, evolution in progress... I don't want to explain one more time but there is a problems with Altis and Startis too. Several players noticed that in the thread. That means BI will have to change textures/rvmats/configs for most objects on Altis and Startis. That will take a lot of time. Should I tell that all terrain makers will have to do the same with ported content? Time needed... UPD: Oh, I forgot about weapons/equipment/uniforms/vehicles... all of them should be fixed to new system. So not only static objects needs changes. Otherwise we will get that great "brighter than the sun" camo issues http://a.pomf.cat/ttxbdv.jpg
-
Hope devs will revert lighting back and leave new lighting on Tanoa only.
-
To be honest, there is no such statistics. So that is not true.
-
Looks like they changed settings. They could leave available "LOW" preset only with the same results. That is hardly can be named optimization. Last time checked it was possible to set scene complexity with manual settings in arma3 config file.

Vasily.B, I have already tried that, read that post https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/189808-visual-upgrade-%E2%80%93-feedback/page-36#entry3036232 Your advice is not a solution.
