  1. Very nice mission!

Although I died both times I encountered enemy forces :-( To careless... First time I drove right up to a camp within 100 meters whoops! Had to backup, but they killed me. Second time I was wandering in a very small village never expected anyone and got shot. Got to the ground, tried to flank them, but thanks to bCombat they flanked me! And shot me through a window in a small building...

I did not know where to expect enemies, I guess I should expect them anywhere? So always first scout from a distance and only when it is safe enter a village.

I also bought a vehicle once, but It was on the other side of the map.

It's not yet clear to me exactly what to do accept of course look in churches. I guess the mission will tell me more when I investigate more. I also don't know yet how/when/where I can get a hideout. What are campfires for?

Is loot spawned at buildings with an exclamation mark on them? I got shot before I could enter it.

Do you meet other people who can join you? I have the medic turned on, but I believe you can also hire mercs? I think it's cooler to only use people you meet.

I only played 30 mins or so, so I guess I should really just have more patience and learn during playing!

I actually don't want to play campaign now.

I have very good framerates so far, also with bCombat on and TPW everything on. This was not the case with the campaign. TPW + campaign is decreased fps.

    cheers!

  2. Damn, I just found this mod via a comment on eurogamer review of the game. This sounds like EXACTLY the kind of thing I am looking for! Nice exploration of the map some suspense, some action and survival. I subscribed to the mod, but as I read here it might be better to use donwload version because of auto-updates.

Gonna try this tonight! You just have another pilgrim added to Altis!

Also gonna try the TPW mods for added immersion. I also have bCombat and JSRS mod. I will report about stability / performance.

God I love the modding community :D

  3. Amazing tool!

I just started playing the single player campaign of ARMA and now that I finally manage a squad I found out that the use of keyboard to issue commands is incredibly tedious! Almost too frustrating to use in dangerous situation. I followed a guide about squad control and there it was said that it is better to use voice commands.

So after google I found articulate. At first I had the frustration of installing and getting microsoft speech recognition to actually work!! Stupid that you MUST have english as your windows language in order for it to work! Then I started the training program and getting through that was an incredible hassle!!! I never though I would be able to use articulate well for ARMA.

However, starting the program, loading arma 3 and giving myself a squad in the editor soon showed me that this program works (almost) flawlessly! I am baffled by the speed at which you can issue commands! It's so incredibly rewarding! I don't know if I would continue with arma without this!

Of course there still need to be MUCH more commands inside the program and making it user configurable would be awesome.

I miss assigning targets, or yelling that I am injured etc.

However, it is already a much nicer game with the tool in pre-alpha stage. I can't imagine how awesome this is going to be when it gets further developerd.

I wish you all the luck and succes in making this a great tool for arma and perhaps a universal tool for different games (with downloadable profiles etc.) Really hope you make more progress soon!

    Thanks
