Beketov map, central Russia, 20x20 km

Hey one thing I've noticed with this map is that the 000 northing is halfway through the map- this means that you run into issues with some mods' GPS systems. Aside from that, this is easily one of my favorite maps, great job!

Hey, just a quick question about the MRZR, will it have a four-person capacity or are you guys planning on having the rear seats available?
  3. Yeah I'm infantry so I don't really mess around with vehicles, but I don't recall seeing any unit markings on CAAT or transport vics. I'd probably ask someone who's a tanker or something if you want USMC-specific details but you've already said you're doing army stuff so... I'd take everything I said with a grain of salt hehehe
  4. Not entirely sure what you're asking, are you curious about actual unit ID for the vehicles like 82nd Airborne or 10th Mountain, or the marking system for things like platoon/section symbols? As a Marine, we typically mark vehicles with the usual chevron + line(s) inside, but you'd never see us put anything like our actual unit on the side of the vehicle, like 3/1 or anything of the sort - it's not relevant. I don't know how the Army does things, but that's just my $.02
  5. I'm really looking forward to the DAP variants, as I think there's a gap of medium attack helos in Arma - AH64's tend to be too much, and AH-6's tend to be too little. Plus, I'm excited to have door gunners with this as well, do a CAS run with your door gunners suppressing threats :) it seems like there will be a nice crew dynamic with these...
  6. This is one of those mods that adds more than a feature to the game, it gives the unit that is using it an actual new capability, akin to something like SPIE rigging. You simply can't (or shouldn't be able to) land on tiny runways or roads without this, but now you can operate fixed wing aircraft on nearly every map, including those without an actual airstrip. Keep up the awesome work!
  7. I think he's talking about the attitude of the plane (nose up/down, inverted etc.), aka the black and white ball-looking thing in the middle.

I think he's referring to green lights for the go signal to jump out.

I didn't even realize this map was released for some reason, downloading now :D

    Advanced Rappelling

I don't think anyone would mind a client-side addon, it can't really be more than a few megabytes anyways, right?

The markings in the reticle aren't for bullet drop, they're mil markings. If your splash is within the reticle you can use them for holdover, but they're there to measure distance and vertical drop. Depending on the round you use, the trajectory will change, meaning you have a different drop at different ranges. With a HORUS, the markings in the scope aren't for 100-meter marks, they're still mils. This is a HORUS reticle which works off of holdover, but you're assuming the trajectory on your rifle is 1 mil dropped in elevation per 100 meters, which isn't accurate - using ACE3's range card or the ballistics calculator, you can find the actual amount of mils that you'd need to holdover. I'm guessing it will be around 3.5-4 mils at 500m, which will validate your shot. You just have to go off of what the rangecard says, so if at 900m it says you have 11 mils of drop, than instead of adjusting the sight you'd just put the target on the 11 mark. I hoped this helped, but we should probably get back on topic. TL;DR: The mil markings won't line up with 100m increments due to different calibers having different trajectories.
  13. Wow, that's awesome heheh It's a shame that PiP has so many limitations :[

Unarmed versions are gonna be nice because you can leave them, and if they're not there when you get back there's not some crazy running around with a 240 on wheels... Is that a rainy-texture variant, like that one cool mod, or is it just a variant? Either way, looks great, actually looks like the vehicle has done some off roading and hasn't been sitting in a showroom :D

Obviously you guys are still working on the MRZR, but it would be nice if it had jerry cans and other stuff tacked on to it, if it isn't a huge hassle. It's not a necessity, but it looks weird to see vehicles like the Apex Prowler and other LSV-ish vehicles completely bare, as IRL you'd strap everything you'd need to the sides like packs and water/fuel, food and ammo. I love the progress so far, you guys are the best!

Yeah, I've only been in the 22 once, never again if I can help it... Great idea on paper, and in Arma though :) I've also heard fun stories about growlers' back wheels wanting to steer at 30mph, so there's that. ThrashInc, you don't like the stallion either? Never been in one so I can't really comment on em

dpv's are sweet but they don't really have as much versatility as growlers, at least in my eyes. less seating and capacity. what would be sweet to eventually see (not making a request, glorious RHS masters) is a flyer 60/72. who needs protection when you have four machineguns!? all the dakka dakka you'd need in one slightly protective fast vehicle, all internally transportable :>
  19. Mmmph, if you can grab the azimuth of whatever waypoint and display that on the HUD via a carrot and have a waypoint distance, that would be ideal as it wouldn't clutter up your view of the target/WP position out of the cockpit. I know that the FZA AH-64D has a system that does it pretty well, although I wouldn't expect anyone to delve into making it appear on a navigation MFD like they did :P

Deffo a growler ITV, Apex just added native vehicle in vehicle, the ITV stands for internally transportable vehicle, ground helo guy is in marpat, CH-53 is only widely used by the USMC, Raiders use the growler and look like the dudes in the first screenshot... illuminati confirmed
  21. mm, reminds me of some funny behaviors when selecting loadouts through the dialog: mk82 GPB + mk82 snakeye makes it so you have to drop the snakeyes before any of the GPB's (can't select individual ones) AGM154a + AGM154A1 has the same thing, you drop the cluster before the normal one hydra + zuni's has the same issue
  22. it works, it inherits it from the vanilla pilot suit so i gets the ace buff. Same with the helmets. Just don't try pulling a tight turn at 1280 km/h :D
  23. I plan on doing more... involved things, but hey you gotta start somewhere right?
  24. PSSST hey kids, wanna buy some ace3 compatibility for your visors? https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/194558-firewills-pilotcrewpack-ace3-visor-compatibility/#entry3096185 Thanks btw for the update Firewill!

Fifty Shades of MP7 - Release

So, I get the alien arms with the RHS config only, if that helps at all. Also, as others have said some config tweaks would be nice, such as: More spread (as others have said) initspeed seems... low. I'm no config expert but I pulled it apart and found 280 for initspeed (I'm assuming initspeed is measured in m/s) on the FMJ, which IRL is 600 m/s at the muzzle and 423 m/s at 100m. Likewise, the AP rounds are 725 m/s at the muzzle, and 425 m/s at 100m, according to wikipedia. Also, IRL the weight of the MP7 is somewhere around 4.1 lbs iirc. So if this gets integrated into RHS, will this just be a model replacement or will the suppressor functionality get added as well? Regardless, still love it!
