    Try to delete the folder (after you backed up your saves), create a new one with the same name and paste your saves in it - it might do the trick. ;)

  3. I think you're confused. The point was just to highlight BIS strange sense of priority. Of course sound designers have nothing to do with AI - and maybe Kremator's joke was a bit out of place. Door sounds have been added, that's cool. But in the same time the audio in Arma3 still sucks and still is inferior to what was done in Arma2 : we lack 3d audio positionning for a lot sounds, gunshots audio range is way too short, etc... And that's exactly what we are talking about : adding more content instead of fixing broken stuff.

  5. Looks like it is fixed in the updated rc1.26! I just had a nearly 2 hours session without any drops - and a pretty good average framerate. I'm happy as fuck!

  8. Never said the contrary, but still, BIS priority seems to be adding new content over fixing/changing old and broken mechanics. Wathever is this a good thing or not, I leave you judge.

    Bouben, the "Copy my stance" order never worked fine in my experience; and the fact is : once you started messing with their stance, there's no option to make your soldiers go back to default behaviour, forcing you to micro-manage them for the rest of the game... Why include this feature in the first place?

    Damage system sucks - fix needed

    I wonder if the issue is not the shaking anim : whenever it happens to me, I have the feeling that my bullets aren't doing any damage if they hit the target while it is twitching/shaking.
  12. I'm not on dev (rc 1.26) but I'm also experiencing those issues. I've been working on a convoy mission, and gosh it's a pain to have the AI keep formation!

    Yep, probably related to this : "Increased volume of samples for changing stances and set maximum audible distance of all movement sound to 20 meters" ...But it looks like the last dev update broke a lot of things; maybe it's worth waiting for the next one before worrying?

    Thanks for the info Dwarden, wasn't aware of that. (But how come that it is set to 1000 by default in arma3.cfg?:confused:)

    Thanks tpw & Mamasan8! :) ---------- Post added at 19:21 ---------- Previous post was at 19:18 ---------- And they actually worked on that for a year (or a few months? Can't remember.) before changing their minds. I have the feeling that using High tech assets would have been funnier against aliens.

    For me, setting GPU_MaxFramesAhead in Arma.cfg to 1 (like it is suggested in almost all tweaking guides) was causing constant audio stuttering. I recently tried to set it to 100 (instead of the default 1000) and problem's gone! Hope this can help. (By the way, I have a Core2Duo @ 2.66... T^T)

    I think he refers to NATO/CSAT mounted guns (you know, the one turret model BIS applied to 70% of vehicles), and their Night/thermal visions combined to the zoom capacity...

    VBS and Arma are totally different products, tottally independant from each other (except for the engine - to some extent).

    Carefully check if a mod has been released under a specific license. For instance, "Share Alike" licenses allow you to re-distribute at several conditions (Give credits to the authors, don't make money of it, and your mod must be released under the same rules.).

    Just tried this little beauty, very impressive job Rydygier. Seems to be an excellent skirmish/battle generator! I only tried a couple of runs so I won't post an extended feedback, but I do have a couple of suggestions. ;) - There's one thing that annoyed and confused me a bit during my runs : the absence of briefing and visual indications/markers on the map. I had no idea what the general plan was or how the men were deployed. For this reason I was completely lost when assuming control of squad leaders. I think it also contributes to make the AI manoeuvres more confusing as you can only guess the plan they follow. A couple of markers or arrows showing where the action is supposed to happen on the map would greatly help. - How hard would it be to port this beauty to other maps?:p Impressive work anyway; I'll most likely spend more time fiddling with HETMAN!
