Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about a mod idea that could add more depth to base-building and battlefield logistics in Arma Reforger. This would introduce a Combat Engineer Squad/Brigade, giving engineers a proper role in both repairing vehicles and constructing defenses for the commander. How It Works Unlocking Engineers – Engineers would be tied to progression. At first, they could be a single unit spawned from the Living Quarters, with an upgrade allowing for a squad of two or more as the commander ranks up. Alternatively, there could be a dedicated Combat Engineers building added to the game. Base Construction – Right now, building fortifications like sandbags, bunkers, and tank traps can be tedious for individual players. Engineers would automatically construct these once the commander places them. This would speed up defensive preparations and free up players for other tasks. Vehicle Repairs – If a damaged vehicle returns to base, engineers would start repairing it. The speed of repairs would scale based on the engineers’ rank and squad size. Player-Controlled Engineer Role – A player could take on the Combat Engineer role as well. Unlike AI engineers, a player would be able to move around the battlefield, remove tank traps, spot mines more easily, and—when future updates allow—demolish buildings and clear trees for base expansion. Why This Matters Combat engineers are a crucial part of any military operation. Right now, logistics and base-building rely heavily on individual effort. Having AI or player engineers working in coordination with the commander would make for a more immersive and strategic experience. I don’t have any modding experience myself, so I’m hoping someone in the community who knows their way around Arma Reforger modding might find this idea interesting. I unblocked any and ALL .dlls 10 times installing yields the same result play for a bit than the server crashes and crashes and most time you can't lobby in before a crash. I compair it to a piece it toilet paper getting a little wet...1 drop does it it just takes time after the PC restart to make the whole thing wet and you break through. Any help please?
