  1. So I know you're not supposed to do this, but I'm running your rhs replacement mod that requires dragonfyre 2.5, but I'm using Eden instead. All the sounds are really good, except for one little thing, the suppressor sounds are really really quiet and don't quite sound like they fit with the caliber you're shooting. It's just a quiet "tick" sound they sounds like it came from a hollywood movie sound library or something. Sounds more like a placeholder. The unsuppressed sounds are really good. Just wondering if that's because I'm not using dragonfyre 2.5 and the suppressor sounds are just broken because of that. 

    If you ever do update the rhs sound replacement, leave the 240 as it is, it sounds PERFECT. 


  2. As a side note, I can only assume ACE does something (either deliberately or inadvertently) to counter this as the vast majority of the rag-dolls I see whilst using ACE appear "normal". There is the occasional "leg on backwards" scenario, but that is usually accompanied by a valid reason such as a failed HALO jump or getting run over by a tank.

    I've actually tried with and without ACE and still had the exact same problem. I even took out the ace_hitreactions.pbo and tried that, still nothing. 


  3. It's so goofy haha. I don't ever remember the ragdolls being like that until recently. I watched a video of the Improved Ragdoll Physics, and it looks pretty good. When I tried it, it changed nothing, still broken ragdolls. 

     

    Well at least I'm not alone. Thanks guys!


  4. Hey guys, I found this mod that is supposed to turn every single bullet into a tracer, the problem is, it's outdated, and doesn't seem to work with ace, and it doesn't affect any RHS/Nato SF and Spetsnaz weapons. It doesn't look like it will ever be updated either.

    The readme states that you can edit the config with a pbo manager, if you want to add more magazines/bullets. I gave it a look but when I open the config in notepad there's a lot of strange symbols and that don't belong in there. I also have no idea how to go about making it work with ace since I have zero coding/modding experience.

    I play strictly against AI or CO OP with my buddy, that's the main reasoning behind this mod, just for fun. 

     

    Best case scenario, is somebody with actual experience see's this and and becomes interested in seeing this mod become a reality, otherwise at least please point me in the right direction.

     

     

     


  5. Actually all suppressor sounds are standard arma 3 sounds I made no changes on those

    Well dang. The previous sounds in 1.11 weren't half bad. For 1.12 though, like I said the Ak's are pretty good, everything else like the g3 and g36 sound really bad. The m107 just annihilates my hearing lol.

    Something like that would be a lot better for the M107, as an example. I just wish this mod was covered more often in sound mods, since it is fairly popular.

    I actually do appreciate your work, I love using these weapons.

     
    Was there a reason to reverting to the older sounds?

  6. Can you make another one where the "force" effect only applies when a bullet flies near you or hits near you? Same thing for explosions. That would be really cool imo. 

     

    Edit: I have been trying La_Suppresion for a bit, it's really good, especially when you're heavily suppressed and your vision gets really blurry. That's really cool! If you could update the blinking effect and switch it to the force effect, that would make it perfect!


  7. Hey Lax this is right on par with Jsrs if not better, the explosions and vehicles are perfect! I'm going to have to agree with the other guys by saying the weapons themselves need a little more low/mid range punch and slightly less mechanical noise. The suppressor sound for the vermin is perfect though in the dynasound 2.0 preview, I still haven't found a mod that nails suppressed weapons.

     

    Also really like being able to swap files between mods the get the perfect sound mod for myself, so having a lot of files for each and every aspect of the mod like bullet cracks and impacts and individual weapons is extremely helpful. I remember some mods in arma 2 that wouldn't let you do that and you just had to deal with it. Just sayin.
