Hello, been looking at servers now for the past day, and I really can't make a decision on which server I should buy. Currently it's out of: https://www.nfoservers.com/order-virtual-dedicated-server.php Six Core or https://www.ovh.co.uk/dedicated_servers/details-servers-range-GAME-id-MC-32.xml I'm looking into creating a 70 slot Altis Life server, a 30-50 Slot Milsim server and possibly a 72 slot SQUAD server (if I still have room, but I do doubt it). Which of the above should I use, or should I find something else entirely? I'm looking into Unmanaged also. Should I go with Linux or Windows? Thanks in advance ;)

Hello Tonic-_- I want to make a new team along side the civs and cops this team is going to be for gangs; having different gangs in different slots (10 slots per gang) each gang will have their own shop (with the same items) however they cannot visit each other's base and use their shop... I was wondering a few things... How would I set up the team for gangs? How would I divide the slots (would it be like the numbers for the police? if so how would I do this) How would I do individual spawns? Furthermore how would I add separate shops for different ranks of donators? I hope you can help; thanks in advance.

No you run it as a PBO. You dont just drag the folder in. Thats where your problem lies (Well at least I use a PBO and it works fine)

Have you even made them PBO files on your server?

Sorry to ask again, but does anybody know how to add the red circle indicating where your player is when using the map? It's really annoying not knowing where you are :)

How do I enable the red marker of your position? So when you press M you can see your position by a red circle and the direction by a line?

I'm probably doing something wrong however when I press M for map it doesn't show where you are? Basically how do I enable the red marker of your position? - Furthermore how do I add a bank to the map? The one I have doesn't seem to have one?

I will do, thanks. Is there an easy way to find specific people by ID? Say there was a lot of people in the list and i just wanted to filter to that one player? Also is it done by online or if they've ever connected? Thanks for the amazing help.

Thanks for the reply. UPDATE - You helped me through steam so everything is sorted. UPDATE 2 - How do you set peoples ranks from the mysql database, for e.g. on Altis Life there's Police etc... Idk if I should be asking this here but It's worth a try I guess :)

I must be doing something wrong... I don't know if it's this that I've set up wrong or Altis Life however the players join and just got a black screen saying "Contacting server for player information" what could be the problem? Sorry to bother you; but I need help. "LIMITED help / support will be given with setting up the MySQL side, if you are not willing to put time into reading about MySQL and managing it then stop reading." I fully understand this however I'm new to MySQL in terms of ranking etc and I cannot find any tutorials on the internet; how do I rank players to Cop/Admin etc? I realise that I need their ID however I have no idea where I would put this nor do I have any idea how it would be worded in terms of command. I do need more help, however the above is the most important to me. I'm also having problems about finding out how to make some classes whitelisted and others not, for e.g. you have 2-3 police officers that are public however I don't know how to change them to whitelist only. More so, how do I add more police ranks so I can only make certain guns and vehicles accessible to higher ranks. Thanks for reading.
