    You mean a release bar? Cause if so i dont see why it should be animated, especially on a ship that is split into 15 pieces with a full interior.

    Well the thing is, we are talking about Arma here. While we could make an event handler to turn on the engine on #Engine_On_Button, we're most likely gonna try to setup a delay to rotor start with a joined engine sound. Of course this wont be a thing in medium/easy

    Well...yeah. I mean, the realistic version will require patience but the main reason we even designed this is for the niche pilots who love DCS/realistic gameplay and/or flight. Now, we wont have much of a delay in the systems individually starting up(maybe max 5 seconds depending on the system) just to keep things rolling since htis is a game after all, but as always, people always want to see how it would be to actually do this stuff. But if people dont like it, there's always easy and medium mode so people are not locked in there crying for an entire op lol.

    Actually the advanced cockpits are easy to make depending on the startup sequence so we could actually release each mod in full version right off the bat, even if it would extend the release time, it would be way more worth it.

    Just to add to what TheSn4k3 said, because arma is arma, you cannot have two pilots and have them both controlling an aircraft. It tends to break things....a lot of things... Also I doubt you understand the idea of Easy, Medium, and Hard mode. Read a few pages back to get an idea of what they are.

    To the modders

    Hey man, As someone who started out last year in modding, i gotta say that modding in Arma is a rollercoaster. When you start you gotta realize a few things: 1. Documentation on modding or back end arma stuff is limited, which makes modding difficult. 2. Modders with experience get about 10+ PMs a day about modding and generally do not have the time for everyone and could be stressed from it. 3. Best way to learn is from a team or one of the skype groups. They are literally pools of knowledge. You can always shoot some of the more "talkative" teams a PM and start learning. If you wanna know a bit more about modding, shoot me a PM sometime since im always in front of a computer :p

    Dont know where you're getting your info but its wrong. Edit: Student, like IRL will be the "pilot", while the Instructor will be the "copilot"

    That is a good idea but i think its only available for the main pilot since the instructor seat is technically a proxy, but ill look into it. It would be hard tho to fake being in Hard Mode to be honest, plus the CP can see what you're doing lol.

    If you dont trust your members to stay in the mode you tell them to, then thats a training issue...or personal issue, depends how you look at it.

    Yes, hence the DCS reference. Of fucking course not, hence why you can change it in the Module or Service Menu.

    Good question - Yes, aircraft will start out in easy mode if it is not linked to a module. To switch it to medium/hard mode, just go to a R&R pad, ammo box/vehicle, or hangar just like the usual service menu.

    To be honest, the other vehicle interaction hasn't been thought out much. We know this will work 100% in aircraft but ships would be kinda easy for the most part but ground vics would be the hardest. Don't expect much from the ground vics since you can use VR Gloves in A3 lol
  16. ALLCON I have used beta versions of this mod and i can say that it is being continued. Generally speaking, mod makers have their time filled with IRL/mod work/mod testing. Please respect their personal life and allow them time to work on things. I know first hand that mods like this are very complicated and require a lot of time to perfect and work out any "Arma'd" situation, especially thanks to this recent update.

    ALLCON: UPDATE MONDAY(SPECIAL) So a few big things to go over everyone, and make sure to spread the word accurately. First off: We have gone through a few team changed and have restructured the team to be more efficient so we can release mods in a more efficient fashion. With this, we are now working equally on all assets, that means aircraft, ships, ground assets, terrains, advanced systems, and player skins are getting worked on almost on the same level. With this, we are looking for new members to join our team with modding experience from any of the arma games since not much has changed engine wise since the A3 engine is from ~2001. If you would like to join, please send me a PM with previous work and a few words on why you'd be a good part of the team! :D We are also looking us US Marine Corps and United States Navy active duty/reserve/EAS/retired personnel to join us as advisers to ensure the accuracy in our mods. To apply, just send me a PM with a quick description of your service. All applications will receive a response within 72 hours. Secondly: We have decided to do something to being more immersion and knowledge to pilots. With this, we have decided to give our aircraft(and maybe all other vehicles, still under discussion) more functions. This means that all aircraft will have 3 modes accessible via Service Menu or Startup Module: Easy Mode(Usual A3 startup/flight), Medium Mode(usual flight, interactive MFD/Some active functions), and Hard Mode(Basically DCS in Arma 3). For now, this will only be aircraft, but we are looking to expand to other vehicle classes. Due to this, the traditional FLIR cam screen will be only available in the AH-1Z. All other aircraft will use a new type of lag-free FLIR MFD like in real aircraft, as well as some new MFD options that pilots can use and some new options overall for pilots to use. Bare in mind that this will make our mod development go slower since we have to look into startup procedures for each aircraft and where each button is, but we are hoping this will improve the A3 experience and give pilots more knowledge into their airframe.     Lmfao yes, yes i did xD There are some a few pages back. Great question! we had some exporting issues with the model and some cockpit issues that have since been fixed. Ive been trying to work on it but for the past month work has been hell since the fiscal year just ended. I should have more time now to work on it and hopefully finish it here soon. In regards to the release date: We do not have one. This is because things happen, arma updates, and then we have to spend even more time fixing it. Plus you also have to remember we all have day jobs, so modding comes second to that, which makes modding 10x slower. For example, i usually get home around 7-8PM EST, so the drive/energy to work on mods is near zero on the weekdays lol.

    didn't try it yet since we wanted to make sure the service menu is functional to test out the loadout swap once on-deck, but actual flight was a 10/10 by my standards :D
